Quiet comfortable assessable has everything so you can enjoy your stay we would stay here again if we came back to the hills
Great property for a family vacation. The kids loved playing outside.
This was our 50th anniversary celebration, and it can best be summed up by my 3 grandchildren - Grandpa, I think we should rate this 5 stars - it has been the best day in my life They repeated this each of the three days. The history was not lost on them either, as a good friend of ours told us that his grandfather had built that camp, so that made it extra special. Everything that we needed was found, so it is extremely well stocked!
We had a great time at this Cabin. There is lots of room for people to spread out. There is a great fire pit and space for people to enjoy the outside. Easy to find and easy to enjoy!
We had a great time! Kids loved the outdoors!
First family vacation was a success due to being able to stay in the Custer cabins. Accessible location to all the activities we wanted to do. The cabin was very quaint.
Teresa had excellent Communication
The Cabin was very nice inside and out. We had 3 boys ages 3,5, and 6 and they had plenty to do in the large yard. My favorite is its off the main drag so it is quite and not a lot of traffic.
We had a multiple family group gathering at the Skyview cabin and were very happy with our stay. We stayed during a very hot weather week and loved the shade at the cabin. We enjoyed both the outside and inside space to gather together. The location of the cabin was ideal to be peacefully away from the touristy area, but close for a quick drive to what we wanted to visit.
Perfect location in middle of the hills. We rented both cabins so had plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed sitting at night by the fire pit and watching the wild bunnies and the stsrs
Very comfortable stay for the whole family. We had 9 total in our group, 3 separate family groups, the way the beds and bedrooms are laid out was perfect for our group. We were impressed at the cleanliness of the cabin and how well stocked it was. The cabin is conveniently located to all the things we wanted to see (Mt. Rushmore, 1880 Train, Needle Eye Highway, Bear County USA, Reptile Gardens) and was close to the local market for groceries and the best hamburger place we’ve ever eaten at. We loved watching the wildlife around the cabin, especially the cute baby bunnies! Even with two teenagers and one 10 year old, no one missed not having a TV, so peaceful to disconnect.
We had a great time, our children and their spouses, the 10 of us stayed in this cabin. We enjoyed it very much, we had 5 bedrooms so there was perfect amount of bedrooms. We cooked a big breakfast one morning which was a lot of fun. Enjoyed the quiet evenings with a fire in front yard, and watched the bunnies and the deer in the morning. Everybody did a load of laundry before we left, which help us, not having to load up dirty clothes as we traveled. The beds were comfortable, and everything was cleaned. Enjoyed the antiques in the cabin. Thank you for making our stay easy, comfortable and enjoyable.
As described, the setting is beautiful, and with the 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, there is ample space for 10+ people. The house is decorated with interesting regional and historical items, and has many cupboards and closets furnished with everything you might need for your comfort and entertainment. Teresa was a joy to work with!
Teresa was great. Answered my questions immediately. Love the originality of the property.
We stayed here for a long weekend family getaway. Our family appreciated the rustic history of the cabin and the quiet setting away from all of the regular touristy hustle and bustle. Accommodations worked well for us as the family with small children had the upstairs bedroom suite to themselves and everyone else didn't have to worry too much about making noise to wake the kids. Kitchen was small but well stocked. Vic and Theresa were very kind and helpful.
