This cabin is just 3 blocks from Lake Superior and the best beach in da Yoop! There is a private fenced in yard for pets and kids. There is a stall in the garage that is available for your use as well. The ATV/snowmobile trail is right there too, as it runs along M28 and Lake Superior. Easy access to everything in our area. Cabin has just been renovated, it's perfect for guests looking to have a home base centrally located to all our area has to offer. Snowmobile and ATV riders will appreciate the close proximity to the trail and gas station as well as the garage stall that is available. For those looking to hike, bike and kayak, the trails and waterfalls are within 20 minutes and the river is just blocks away. Pictured Rocks Cruise is only 15 minutes away!.

The Cabin is setup for up to 7 people. There is a queen bed in two of the bedrooms with a loft where you'll find 2 twin beds. The living room has a couch for additional sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked as any normal home would be, including pots and pans, plates, utensils etc.... It includes everything one would need to cook for 7 people. There is also a gas grill included outside. All linens are included, (sheets, pillows, blankets, towels) Paper towels and toilet paper provided.

Au Train is located in a beautiful rural area, and unlike cities, homes here do not use a municipal water system. Instead, everyone relies on a well system for their water including us! Well water is completely natural an does not contain additives or chemicals such as chlorine, commonly used in city water. Because of this you may notice that the water can taste or smell different than what you're used to at home. You're of course welcome to bring bottled water if you prefer.

We're confident you will enjoy this cabin and the area as we have for years!

We had a great stay. The area is quiet and the cabin was great. I loved the laid back attitude regarding my dog. The little things were seen to as well. All of the soap, paper towels, laundry detergent ect were all there. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again. There are a few places to eat and a small grocery within walking distance.

Rented labor Day weekend 2022. Like - in town; across the street from kayak rental and grocery store; ample parking; nice fenced in backyard with fire pit; nice patio set; large grill; spacious living room and double room. Loved the washer and dryer hard wood (at least that's what it felt and looked like) throughout the entire home. Areas for improvement - quad room too tight but accommodates two sleeping humans just fine. I would highly suggest a guard for the two upper bunks to prevent accidental falls during sleep, that could result in serious injury. We did not use the top bunks. Kitchen was very small and tight for 8 ppl to be in at the same time but it served its purpose just fine if you move through and not linger. AC only in the living room. Recommend having three fans available for use on hot muggy nights. Especially for the quad room and back bedroom, since they are both located at the back of the home away from the AC unit in the living room. Heat seemed to work just fine. Stock kitchen with large knives for chopping vegetables and meat. There were only small serrated steak knives available. Lastly, the toilet tank needs repair. It ran constantly. Had to take the lid off and tinker with inner parts to get it to work properly. And it leaks at the base (reported this), floor was warped with water stains. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay. Washer and dryer was the highlight for clean clothes on an active, hiking, boating and swimming weekend.

Excellent stay! Great location - so close to the beach! Extraordinarily clean. We’d definitely stay again. The gas grill isn’t provided with a propane tank. For three nights, we just cooked on the stovetop, but it was disappointing.

Met our needs, but for $200 a night it could have been cleaner, especially when $95 of it is a cleaning fee . For example, the bathtub looked dirty. Tge beds were clean and comfortable. Its location was great as its in walking distance to lake superior and other sights.

Cozy cabin (could have used some puzzles, cards, etc- glad we brought our own!), power went out several times (had to buy matches, tea lights & flashlights but that made it interesting- thanks to site managers for setting us up with portable heat for the night!). LOVED the fenced in yard for our lab!

Across the street from Da Yak Shak. Super easy access to the Au Train River and still very close to Munising. 35mins to Pictured Rocks. Two bedrooms downstairs and two beds in the loft. Two full bathrooms downstairs, neither en suite. Would absolutely stay again.

This cabin I'm sure would be great for snowmobilers, hunters etc. Its a very basic cabin, no fluff or extras. Basically there were just enough trash bags, dishwasher pods etc to get through our 3 night stay. We had 4 adults and only had 1 bath towel per adult for a 3 night stay. This isnt a place you would expect to have any extras AT ALL. Nothing like blow dryers, shampoo, or any type of toiletries. There was hand soap and dish soap. As far as cleanliness bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, but there was a lot of dust etc on surfaces. The coffee pot was filthy. We had to clean it out and run several pots of water through before we were comfortable using. As far as the outside, again very basic. There is a fire pit and wood in the garage. Benches are wood but seats are very narrow so not comfortable at all. There also was a outdoor table and chairs but cushions were very old and dirty. We didnt want to sit on them. I understand they are outside but we have been at other places in the area where there was outdoor furniture and it was much nicer and cleaner. As far as location, it was nice to be able to walk to the beach and close to pictured rocks. Again, because of the location and a garage to put your sled in it would be a great pleace for snowmobilers and for hunters. Just a quaint wooden cabin. It wouldnt take much at all to make it more fun and inviting.

We started out with one daughter and her family that live in the area. Then they went home and another daughter and her family came to stay. Because the other family lives nearby they came in for some day trips too. We loved the ease of staying, especially check in and check out. Very casual. I’d recommend this place. The location is great too. One fun thing was the comment in the listing that was something about being within sight distance of the lake. Only if you have a drone in your pocket. Within walking distance though. Loved our stay.

The house has everything what you may need. Don't be deceived by its tiny looks from the outside. It has two spacious bedrooms with wardrobes and two bathroom with modern showers, washing mashine and dryer. Kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, plates and glasses. I loved their cute lanterns outside of the house! The backyard is really big and fenced. We walked around the neighborhood and everyone was so friendly. It was such a peaceful place. I wish we could stay longer but if time allows we'll be definitely back!

We spent a weekend at the cabin to get up snowmobiling. Cabin is set up great for the sport as it is right by a gas station open early and late and is right down the street from the trail. The place itself was clean and had more than we needed. Would definitely stay here again

Place was adorable, bathrooms very clean. Place stayed very warm and comfortable at 60 degrees in the middle of a cold UP winter. Book of ideas and things to see was one of the best put together books we have ever seen. Only bad thing was no table as we love to play cards but we made it work and had a wonderful time. Would stay again and again.

Nice little place to stay. Set up was good. Had everything you need. Gas station just down the street. Easy check in and out. Back bedroom is next to the utility room. Furnace is quite loud when it kicks in. Challenging to sleep if you are a light sleeper. Pillows in that room had quite a bit of hair on them... Other than that I would recommend and stay again.

I am a long time regular UP visitor and I have stayed in many rentals around the UP. This one takes the cake as my favorite, and I knew that within hours of arriving. Such a convenient location to get to just about everything, or also nice if you only want to go sit on the nearby beach all day. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Great securely fenced level yard for my two senior pups (one blind). House has everything you could need. Kitchen was so nice I actually used it and ate most of my meals there. Having the beach just 3 blocks away was awesome and made for easy access to incredible sunsets. I got really lucky and caught a few spectacular northern light displays! Only 3 blocks away! I didn’t use the kayak rental, just didn’t have time this trip, but I have kayaked the AuTrain in the past and it is a UP bucket list must do! While it was just me and the little dogs staying, this could easily and comfortably accommodate a family. Also had outdoor seating and a fire pit in the backyard - you can buy firewood across the street. I highly recommend this house for your next UP trip! But don’t book it up too much, I want to come back!!!

We chose Sarah's Place to be close to Pictured Rocks. The location was perfect; the drive to Munising is short and scenic. Au Train Beach is also worth a visit, and it's within walking distance. The cottage is small but still allowed our family of four to spread out. We enjoyed our stay!
