Shaver Wood Forrest-Smokey Tree

Loved it... great place! Me and my family stayed the weekend here. Everything you need to have a great time. My kids loved the tree swings.

Very nice

We had a very relaxing stay. It was comfortable and dog friendly. We didn’t bbq but it was there, we cooked breakfast and went out for dinner. It’s a beautiful, quiet setting and we loved sitting on the deck with the dogs enjoying the birds singing and watching the gray squirrels.

We enjoyed the large deck, lake escape and the camp fire. The house was comfortable, but the only thing I would add is that the kitchen sink fausit needs to be replaced because it leaks a ton of water of you do not fiddle with it constantly to get it to stop pouring out water. The water bill I would be concerned with if it doesn't get changed out or fixed. The color of the light bulbs thoughout the house is super bright white like a hospital. I think to make it more cozy it should have warm lights like in the living room. Where to throw away trash when it gets full and if guests have pet waste? It did not seem to be provided. We all had a great time and we definitely will be back and thank you for allowing us to rent the house for Memorial Day Weekend!

Almost immediately upon arrival it started snowing. Which was great, it was a stay for my son's birthday and snow was his birthday wish. Hal (property owner) was very clear and responsive in communication. The local neighbors that live near the cabin were very friendly as well.

Beautiful location, charming accommodations, and relaxing environment. All aspects of booking, Check-In and check out were professional, reasonable, and straightforward. Would love to come back to enjoy the area again in the future.

Good location and amenities.

Property stated it had air conditioning. Shaver Lake is experiencing a hot summer and that was some thing we required. It did not. It had oscillating floor fans That actually didn’t work. We were there for two nights, but ended up leaving the next day because of the heat. Host/owner has not offered any refund. Vrbo is no help. Dirty, unclean rental. Trash thrown on side of cabin gathering more flies on porch. Dishes were dirty. Food on ground beds very very hard and uncomfortable. Would not recommend this cabin or host.
