Myself and 4 other friends stayed at this house for over a week and it was perfect for us! We loved the fireplace, hot tub and the kitchen! The place slept is all perfectly as well! Cathy was so helpful whenever we needed her. Kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked so no need to worry about that! Make sure your car is 4wheel drive, getting out of the driveway can be difficult if it snows. However there is someone that plows every day. Overall great place to stay, we highly recommend it!! Would definitely stay here again!
Highly recommend this home was great space for our group of two families. It was remote although still close to restaurants and everything we needed. Highlights were fireplace, hot tub and kitchen great room. Views are breath taking. The main room was large enough for entire group and there were also other rooms for the kids to hang out. The decorating is adorable and the house is well appointed even the linens were luxurious. Will definitely come back to this hidden gem!
Highly recommend! My husband and I spent a week at this adorable high country house. We loved the view and started most days with coffee and a hot tub. When we weren't out fly fishing or horse back riding we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and had lazy days reading and doing puzzles. We are planning to come back with our children and grand children for spring break. Cathy was great too and was quick with communication.
Loved the fireplace and hot tub! The cabin was cozy and beautiful! We enjoyed our stay! The owner was helpful and very nice! Just an amazing place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life!
I stayed here with 8 friends. Going into it we worried the property might not be as secluded as the pictures/description let on (as is often the case with rentals), but we were happily surprised. The property is indeed very secluded and sits on a very beautiful piece of land, with a great view from the back. The house has a nice aesthetic inside as well and was more than accommodating for 9 people. If you want to stay in, there is a hot tub and a fire pit on the property that are a lot of fun. If you want to enjoy some refreshing Colorado air, there is a fairly challenging but extremely gratifying hike about 15 minutes away @ Spruce Creek -- Wheeler Trail (among many others). The owner, Kathy, was very hospitable and we loved renting from her. By the end of the trip, everyone was thinking of excuses to come back and rent the property again.
We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware and spices so we were able to have most meals at the cabin. A gas grill would be a nice addition, but we did make use of the charcoal one. Lots of space in the cabin and a beautiful walk to the reservoir. Some furniture could be updated - particularly the table for eating inside and the two chairs by the fireplace. I was also surprised by the lack of privacy in the master bath due to the open ceilings. However, all the other features made up for this.
The house is well appointed and was very comfortable for our party of seven. The kitchen has many of the basics. The views from the deck were fabulous. Great fishing on the river and beaver ponds south of the reservoir and a quick drive to Breck and wonderful hiking. There are a few quirks to the room layout but everyone was very comfortable and our dog loved watching the chipmunks from the porch. We would definitely go back!
Great location, tucked into the mountain. Very spacious with plenty of sleeping space. Well-appointed and charming. Gorgeous views of the peaks, wonderful hot tub on the deck. Great fireplace. We had a great stay and would definitely choose this one again!
We fell in love with this cabin! Beautifully furnished/decorated with mountain theme. The kitchen is awesome, we spent mornings in the hot tub with views of the 14ers. The books, games, and puzzles kept our hearts happy, and the endless selection of DVD's helped us snuggle in at night. Wish we could've stayed here longer!
Very nice property! Cathy was very prompt and helpful. Overall great vacation, we will be returning!
