This is a perfect getaway cabin. Clean, well appointed and offers terrific views. The gravel driveway is steep so if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, take that to the cabin.

The best part of this cabin is the covered deck with a nice Mountain View. The gravel road to the cabin is narrow and rough and a 4 wheel drive would be helpful .

My wife and had an amazing time here. This was exactly what we wanted for a long weekend getaway in the mountains.Cabin was cozy, clean, well stocked, and well taken care of. The host was extremely friendly and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice private cabin in the woods, comfortable, the drive off of the main road is a bit difficult unless you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. It is not paved and very narrow, once you get to the cabin there is very little room to maneuver the car. The land immediately behind the cabin is very overgrown, would have been nice to have space as a play area. It was peaceful and we enjoyed our stay.

Sweet cabin with lots of extra touches to help with comfort, very clean, comfortable beds, decor is tasteful and not over done—great large porch with comfortable seating—beautiful area to walk around with a stream visible but some steep areas—partial Mountain View and long view and very private. Very close to Blowing Rock, Blueridge Pkwy, Moses Cone Manor and most other local attractions within 30minCaution: the road coming into the cabin is challenging, narrow and has multiple switch backs with some inclines on worn gravel road — driveway is a sharp left and if a long vehicle or low sitting may be problems. There is another property further down in order to turn around and come back to turn at better angle — the driveway is manageable once you turn in We were in a long large truck made it once we went down and turned around but was challenging and required 4 wheel drive engaged Worth the effort for such a calming private location Great communication and welcoming information from owner without intruding

The area is beautiful! We missed the road to the switchback at first and we were shocked by how steep it was, even reading other reviews, it was a surprise. The cabin is tucked away and was a perfect size for my husband and me and our dog. We enjoyed time on the deck looking out to the mountains and listening to nature. I was longing for a hammock or lounger and would've taken several naps out there. The location of the cabin was set perfectly between two towns for shopping, dining or general sight seeing. We took a drive up to Grandfather Mt. A must see!Our 5 days here in mid July, was the reset we needed. Thanks again.

My, son, dog, and husband enjoyed celebrating father's day at your cabin. It exceeded expectations. Our favorite part other than the porch was the ability to get to blowing rock so quickly while still being completely secluded from others. We will bookmark this and hopefully visit again!

Like most people coming from a noisy and congested area, it was so pleasant to have QUIET!! The data in Jan we stayed we're cold and sometimes windy. If you're prepared for 0* degree wind chills, you'll be fine. The one thing I recommend is arriving in daylight to see the turn off of 321 onto OLD 321. After that, the drive to the residence is pretty much ...easy. There are switchbacks to get to the cabin but it's expected due to the steepness. The woods were clear because the leaves had fallen to it was easy to keep track of my 2 dogs; both of them large dogs. The accomodations inside were all working just like they should. The heat for the cabin was already on. The gas fireplace did require the pilot light to be relit, but that was easy. I had no complaints or issues with anything for the time spent there! The owners and the manager were both very helpful and informative. Hats off to Beth and Jessica! It was a little too cold for me to use the fire pit off the back porch, but it sure has a nice relaxing view. I'd have no second thoughts about renting here again. Thank you for a quiet and relaxing experience!!

This was such a great experience! We stayed here for our Christmas vacation and it was just me, my husband, and our 4yr old daughter. The cabin itself was so cozy and clean and warm! We loved all there was to do and how close everything was to the cabin! The view was magical! The instructions to get to the cabin were easy to follow and the drive from the main road was a little bit steep but totally manageable with our Subaru Forester! Loved everything about this vacation!

Mountain side cabin is a beautiful cabin literally on the side of a mountain. Amazing little piece of paradise, very private, comfortable and clean. Driveway took some getting used to for us but we are from a flat beach town.

Overall we were pleased with this property. It is right off the highway which made access a breeze. The turn into the cabin itself is however a little weird. You have to do a 3 point turn to get in and out of the entrance to the cabin off the path. The view from the porch is perfect for sitting in the morning with a cup of coffee reading a book! Probably my favorite part. The only issue we had during our stay was..... the fruit flies were unbearable. They were in the kitchen (making it impossible to cook/ eat without them getting in our food, we ate on the porch for the most part), the bathroom (buzzing in your face while trying to shower/ brush teeth, etc) and if we did not keep the bedroom doors shut in there as well. It was bad enough we searched under/ in the cabinets to make sure a previous guest hadn't left something rotting somewhere. If there had been no fruit flies, the stay would have been perfect.

This cozy and quiet cabin was a great find. The host was quickly responsive with a few questions we had. The beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and served us well. Food Lion is 15 minutes away. Although we were out exploring the region all week, there are books, board games, puzzles, and even a yoga mat and small dumbbells. It was so quiet and peaceful. I slept great. The kids and dogs were happy and content. The packed gravel switchbacks to the property are a 10-12 degree grade and a 4x4 or a higher clearance AWD vehicle (my Subaru did great) is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin, fully appointed. The deck has a wonderful view. Very quiet and secluded. Ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms did not work and the fan speed in the living room was not adjustable due to a broken chain. The main issue was the hazardous of the road down to the cabins. The listing said four-wheel-drive is not necessary, but we did not find that to be the case. Luckily our jeep was capable of getting in and out.
