Perfect home for floating the Current River. We are repeat customers & just love having this home for a two day float Acker’s to the house and then on to Round springs to take out. Everything we need is here, beds are comfortable, WiFi worked without a hitch, fabulous deck, grills, easy walk to the gravel bar. Ready to rebook! Thanks so much!

The cabin is very nice. We enjoyed our stay. The first 2 days it rained and it was so nice to sit on the porch in a rocking chair and listening to the rain. I must say the road to get to the house can be a little daunting; especially during a rain storm. We had to move some large branches that fell and crossed the road. A large branch fell across the entry gate to the property! It was quite an adventure! But our SUV was able to navigate the road. The house is clean and well appointed and completely stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. There are two grills; one being a black stone grill. The river is just a short walk through the woods along a path. We had a wonderful time and recommend this property. We know you will enjoy your stay!

Wonderful cabin at a secluded location on the Current River; perfect getaway for nature lovers. We comfortably slept 6 adults for 3 days in June while canoeing the Current River. The property was very clean and well stocked, and the hosts provided thorough information concerning the property, driving directions, amenities, and check in process. Property is accessible from an approximate 6.5 mile gravel road. Be sure to read driving directions before you arrive, and, as hosts recommend, arrive durig daylight hours to avoid getting lost. It was a short walk to a canoe accessible gravel bar on the river. We really enjoyed sunsets by the river and wildlife watching. Lots and lots of fireflies at night, and dark skies made for great stargazing. Highly recommend this property!

Celebrated dad's 72nd birthday here relaxing on the Current River. The property is beautiful. Easy access to the river for fishing or shoving off for a quick 2-3 hour float down to Round Spring. The house accommodated to four guys perfectly with everything we needed for a memorable stay.

I can't recommend this property enough. 10/10 across the board. Communication from Fran, cleanliness, river access - better than advertised! Very secluded but within 25 mins from several different parks to explore. We can't wait to book again in the future!

The cabin is very remote but has great views and amenities. The county roads to get to the property are subject to wash-out from heavy rains and can be problematic for vehicles with low ground clearance.

Very pleased with our stay here. Other than friendly folks passing by on canoes while you are hanging out by the river, there are virtually no signs of civilization at the cabin. Can't here anything but nature and it's wonderful. I also went for astrophotography. This is in the center of the darkest area anywhere within a few days drive of us and it is the most beautiful night sky I have ever seen. Most relaxing vacation I've ever had. Thank you

Another wonderful stay at Boyd’s Hollow! While Helene dumped rain all day Friday, we rocked on the cozy porch and enjoyed hot chocolate. We got to kayak in The Current, a walk of maybe 200 yards away, on Thursday. The jumping rock and the swimming hole off the gravel bar are perfect for a fun day in the river. As always, well stocked with everything we needed to have a relaxing wonderful time! We’ll be back for sure. Melanie T ~~ Eureka, Missouri

Stayed for 4 nights in September with spouse and another couple. Cabin was extremely clean and had zero bugs (very difficult to achieve for a remote location like this). Very comfortable, bunk beds were larger than expected, firewood was provided, and current river was only a short walk away. We were able to do canoe trips during the day, and fires at the cabin (or by the river) at night. Phenomenal location. Do be mindful that the final 6 miles has a lot of steep hills on narrow gravel roads - definitely advised to get there during the daytime the first time around. May be difficult to handle some of the hills if you have a small / underpowered vehicle loaded down with gear. Easy checkout with reasonable requirements.

My wife and I loved this home. The grounds were very well kept and I can express how secluded the property feels. The current river flows near the property and the location of home offers a proximity few probably get to enjoy.

Property was better than described. We enjoy the short walk to the river. Fished, floated, sat around a little bonfire and told stories and laughed. Yard was well maintained. Enjoy the wildflowers planted all around edges. Kitchen had everything that we needed. Be aware of raccoons that will come to the deck nightly. Make sure to secure any trash or recyclables that you may have placed on deck.
