Sandstone Valley Estate | Hocking, Indoor Pool

We recently spent a weekend at this property and, while the space was ample, several issues overshadowed our experience. The bed covers were thin, the pillows uncomfortable, and we found holes in the drywall of the main floor queen room. Additionally, the cleaning supplies were limited to only three trash bags, requiring us to buy more.The pool, which was a key feature for our grandkids, was too cold for extended enjoyment, and they only lasted about an hour. Denied a one-hour late check-out, we felt rushed to vacate the property, which added to our dissatisfaction.The driveway presented its own challenges, with a swinging gate that required us to exit the car and a steep incline that became icy after a light rain, leaving us without salt to address the slippery conditions.Despite enjoying family time together, these issues led us to decide against booking this property again, especially for the price we paid.

The proximity to Old Man’s Cave and the indoor pool and game room. Great Cabin!

Spacious cabin with plenty of things to do, nice pool and hot tub as well. Greatly enjoyed our time there. Items of note: The gates at the bottom of the hill closed from the wind, and created a hazard getting thru at times. Maybe a latch system of some kind to keep them open could be considered? Also, I think the pool heater was turned off at some point. If it is one of the switches in the pool room that controls it, could it be labeled to avoid this in the future?

Host was welcoming, amenities were great.

Overall excellent stay. Large gorgeous place with an indoor pool. Everything went smoothly and would stay here again.

The indoor pool was great! The room is air conditioned, so it doesn't feel muggy like a typical indoor pool. The property had plenty of large rooms with really comfy beds!

This house was very nice. Very clean! Everything was great! The one downside was that the heated swimming pool that the grandkids were looking forward to, the heater was broken. But they did swim.

Very relaxing. Able to rest and get back to nature.

It rained our first day but there was plenty to keep everyone occupied. Hot tub, pool, pool, poker…. No one was bored.

The house is plenty big to bring along extended family and friends. There is plenty to do with the pool house, hot tub, fantastic game room/walk out basement. A great getaway spot. Lots and lots of bedrooms and beds and 2 large living rooms.

Cabin was spacious and had everything we need. Our family had an amazing time.

Beautiful cabin with ample space for extended family. Open floor plan kitchen, expansive game room in basement, fire pit, hot tub and a pool / pool house provided hours of endless entertainment. We highly recommend! Close to many activities such as hiking at Ash Cave and water activities at Lake Logan.

By the property's description, it sounded and looked amazing, leading us to choose this overpriced place. However, we found several significant issues: - No working toaster or hair dryer. - No carbon monoxide detector in the kids' room. - Lacking basic welcoming amenities like sugar. ,salt, black pepper, shampoo, and body wash/soap. - The cookware is rusty and worn out.(not in usable condition) - We were expected to clean the grill without any provided supplies or tools, such as a scrub. - Broken chairs on the patio, posing a serious risk of falling and injury. - The swimming pool had a very high chlorine level - clogging bathtub and kitchen sinks Given these numerous problems, we would never encourage anyone to book this property.
