The cabin was all that we expected. Spacious but cozy, well cleaned and maintained. The only “negative” event was when the power went out on our last night after coming back from a hike. Took a couple of hours until help arrived to get the power back, but was a still a very nice experience.

Wonderful location with 2 creeks nearby if you have kids and/or pets. Very close to Boone and not too far to Banner Elk. The place was very nice & quiet. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Our family has stayed at this cabin many times over the years. We love it!! Our love for the area, and this trip confirmed our daughter’s college choice. She will be attending App State in the fall, so we will be back.

The view was wonderful and the porch was the perfect place to enjoy it from. The house had everything we needed and felt like home and we did not want to leave. Location was great for visiting nearby towns of Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock! Now if you could just figure out how to connect the top deck and the bottom deck without having to go around ;-)

We came up for the weekend for a snow tubing trip. The weekend was great and the house and location was absolutely perfect for us! It has beautiful views, and just the right amount of space! It’s in a great location to everything you need and want to do! (Shopping/ attractions/ tubing / skiing) Everything was very clean and tidy - we look forward to coming back in the future!

We truly had a good time staying at this location. The forwarning of the steep driveway definitely needs to be emphasized on bc it was super steep but it worked out. But the overall stay was very relaxing and peaceful. The home is so beautiful and is in such a good location. The view was one of my favorite things, especially the wildlife (deer) that just walk around with no concern. I would recommend doing some more lighting or decoration in the downstairs hallway area BC it was konda sketchy at first, but other than that, our stay was perfect! The process was a breeze and so convenient for our travels.

The property is tucked away over looking a beautiful valley. Once we arrived we went into the cabin, we did find that it wasn't cleaned upon arrival. We contacted the property management company (after hours). They asked us to go have dinner on them and by the time we got back the place would be cleaned. Unfortunately, (due to weather) when we returned it still wasn't cleaned and the cleaners had just arrived. I wish I got the cleaners names because they were really sweet and tried to get it cleaned as fast as they could, as it was freezing raining outside and we were unable to enter the cabin while it was being cleaned. We weren't able to use the hot tub as it wasn't cleaned also but once we got into the cabin we enjoyed it. The view was AMAZING! Later we were able to discuss our concerns with Blue Ridge Rentals and Amy W. was amazing. She listened to our concerns and made our case for us which she had to present to higher ups, she was able to make things right. We really appreciated having Amy on our side. In all honesty, if we didn't have any issues with the cleaning and we were able to use the hot tub everything would of been prefect. It even snowed while we were there for our prefect winter get away.

We understand that the whole winter storm scenario was not an optimal situation but some proactive work on the steep long driveway prior to our arrival would have been a lifesaver. The first person of our group who arrived before us had already gotten stuck prior to our arrival, driveway was a sheet of ice under snow) this is a lifted 4x4 2500 diesel on 37” tires. So when we arrive a little later only to suffer the same fate even with recommended tire chains trying to turn around and trying not to slide into mailboxes and cabin accross the street. So we had back track to a store parking lot a couple miles away and regroup had to convince group to push through the misery instead of going back to town and getting a hotel room since we were paying for cabin regardless. So we try to hike up this steep grade of a driveway on a sheet of ice literally falling on our faces trying to drag our luggage up, which was absolutely awful. We reached out the next day via email because we couldnt get anyone on phone on Saturday after we left out. We appreciate y’all plowing the center of driveway but we still had to walk because it was still ice where our tires needed to grip. Walk was a little easier but still awful. View was pretty and cabin was cute but if there is ice and snow I would definitely pass on this one unless you are assured driveway is properly prepped. I guess our sentiment was if you knew in advance you had guest coming something would have been done instead of nothing..
