We loved the steady sound of the babbling brook outside. Everything was in good working order and easy to find. The swings and screened in porch were so nice for a quiet reading session. The only downside was that there appeared to be some water damage around the roof some time ago. My wife noticed a musty odor right away that never seemed to diminish.

Awesome cabin for a nice getaway!! Nice king size bed, wi-fi, tv in bedroom and living room. Beautiful deck setup with screened in porch. Hot tub well maintained and delightful! Lots of wildlife, we saw a bobcat cross the road! Next time we visit, we'll rent a car with 4 wheel drive, the road is gravel which is fine (unless it rains which can make it complicated.) Quiet, peaceful and relaxing! Just what we needed! - Sheryl & Ian

The cabin is perfect, just far away from town to see the stars and not hear the noises of the city, but close enough to go stroll around downtown or grab some groceries the creek is peaceful, running right behind the cabin. We will definitely stay here again. Both my wife and dog loved it!

This cabin was amazing. Great location and easy to get to. We loved the hot tub and sitting on the porch relaxing and listening to the creek. The kitchen had everything. If you cross the creek and hike downstream about a quarter mile you will see a small waterfall. There are a few downed trees on the hike but it was worth it. If you go into town, we highly recommend going to the Red Apple Barn for apple picking during season. Mr. P’s takeout was amazing as a quick spot to stop for lunch to take back to the cabin. Fall Branch Falls was another waterfall that we drove out to the trailhead to hike out to. About a half mile hike out to the falls. Definitely bring extra toilet paper and towels with you if you are staying more than two days. Will be back!

Jackie and I and our Bernese Mountain Dog enjoyed our four night stay in the mountains outside Ellijay. Our cabin was quaint, rustic, and well equipped...just as described in the listing. Tranquil and serene are appropriate adjectives used in describing the property. While the cabin was very nice, getting to it was not. Once leaving the paved road, the unpaved road leading to the cabin extremely bumpy, the result of ruts and pot holes. It was very challeging in our Honda

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the third time staying with Sliding Rock Cabins and the 2nd time staying in Creekside Serenity. It is everything that I wanted, secluded, clean, all amenities needed. Absolutely great for pets, with the gated side porch, the screened in porch, and the fenced yard. The hot tub is nice and the bubbling streams were magical and so very relaxing. I came by myself,this time, and my wonderful lab. The only draw backs to Creekside Serenity were the very uncomfortable couch and recliner and the divided road right before the cabin. This time I had a terrible time leaving. The rits in the road were so very bad that I could not straddle them or go around them. They were extremely deep and it took me 8 or 9 attempts to finally get out. The road should diffenitely be scrapped and made passable. I certainly don't mind a dirt or gravel and steep road , or some ruts, but the ruts this time we're almost impossible to get through. It would also be nice to have a screen door in the kitchen. The weather was so nice that I didn't use the ac at all and having the kitchen open would have been nice.

The serenity of sipping morning coffee creekside and from the screened deck was as pleasant as it gets! Hot tub was very nice feature after a day of hiking and shopping. Seamless checking in and out. We would definitely stay here again and bring our dog next time. Nice small penned area for dog. We would also be interested in other properties in same area big enough for 4-6. Please consider re-hanging the low hanging hammock a bit higher and disposing of the bees hanging around the steps to the hot tub... there may be a nest under the deck or stairs.

Recommend if you want to get away from the busy city and unplug.
