Even though the drive from the property entrance gate to the cabin was a bit scary (narrow road and steep hills) it was worth the drive. Once you get to the cabin you forget everything else, we loved the house, beautiful views and very cozy. It is the perfect place to just get there and never leave, make sure to bring everything you need so you don't have to go to the store or find places to eat. We will definetely come back during better weather so we can enjoy the outdoors a bit more. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a MUST, not recommended, you HAVE to have one if you want to park by the cabin entrance, otherwise you will leave your vehicle and walk down and back up the steep hill. This should be stated on this site as a MUST. Besides that, it is a beautiful property, beautiful views and peaceful.
The house is ideal for hanging out with friends or family. The beds, chairs, couch, etc were super comfortable. The best part is that massive screened-in porch with the huge TV. A few of us guys hung out there and watched football games Saturday night. It was legitimately perfect for that. The upstairs deck and the patio on the ground level (both facing the lake) are great for watching sunrises and sunsets. We didn't take advantage of the canoes, but I'm sure that's a ton of fun at this location too.The only advice I'd give to anyone staying here is watch out for that steep hill/driveway. They have a sign saying do not drive down here unless you have 4 Wheel Drive. Well....I ignored that and drove my two-wheel drive car down there. It wasn't pretty. But that's 100% my own fault as they clearly warn you not to do that. Overall, this is an awesome spot with plenty of amenities to make it a wonderful weekend. We're looking forward to making it a repeat stay a couple times a year if possible.
My husband and I stayed for the weekend and had a great time! The cabin isn't very big but it has pretty much everything you could need. I could have spent almost our entire trip on the screened porch! The wifi will work but just know that since it's a bit remote it isn't top speed by any means but with a view like that who really needs internet? We did end up having a couple of questions and William was quick to respond and very friendly! We will be back!
My husband and I went to this cabin for a weekend getaway and had a great time! The cabin itself was clean and cool, the bed was very comfortable, and the screened porch was FANTASTIC! Don't go expecting the wifi to do amazing things because you are a bit remote, but you won't miss it with the amazing view.
We were looking for something remote in the woods and this was perfect. Yes the driveway is steep but i had 4x4 which is a MUST. The house in great shape and well built.
We got there Friday night cooked up some steaks and mashed potatoes and stayed up talking all night and then went out on the boat Saturday and had a fun day
The cabin itself was great and the location was perfect. I really only have 3 complaints. 1. On one day of our trip people (I assume the owners) came to take out the pontoon boat which is onsite and that’s fine but my fiancé 5 minutes before had showering in the outside shower that they walked right by to get the boat. A heads up would have been nice especially since you are behind a locked gate with the assumption that you are alone. 2. The grills that are onsite are in poor condition and aren’t really usable. 3. There aren’t mattress protectors on the mattress and there are some serious stains on the mattresses and the pillows. Again, great cabin and great location though.
This is a well designed and well built lake cabin on a secluded lot that is great for a weekend stay for a few people. The outdoor areas of this house are very well done. My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and we found ourselves repeatedly sitting on the side deck that overlooks the lake which provides very relaxing scenery. This house has no neighbors to the left, right, or behind it, and the lake is in front...so being bothered at this location is unlikely. You'll also be able to view many different forms of wildlife. My wife and I had a wild turkey fly on to the property and we had a front row view of it in it's natural habitat. The dock for this house is in great shape. There is lots of space to spread out and a ladder to get into and out of the water easily. Floats are provided, and they're nice. (a big plus). There is also canoes you can use for free and a pontoon boat you can use at an added cost. We opted to not use the pontoon boat this time around, but most likely will use it the next time we rent this cabin. The finishes and furnishings of this house are very new and upscale. 4G internet on your cell phone works ok. The house has wifi (albeit powered by Hughes net which will be pretty slow). This is a house you visit to enjoy the great outdoors and not for it's internet speed. **Areas where this place could improve upon** 4 wheel drive should be mandatory, or the owner should pave the last steep part of the driveway. 4 wheel drive is not mandatory to visit this property, but if you don't have it prepare to park your car far way - up a very steep hill. Note that this will make loading and unloading your vehicle more inconvenient than you were originally expecting. Also, when renting this house you will have no way to secure the residence when departing. This house does not come with a set of keys, and there is no keypad lock on any of the exterior doors. You can lock the house when you're inside of it, but not when leaving to run an errand or to go eat at one of the many recommended restaurants close by. Combine not being able to lock the house with not bringing a 4 wheel drive vehicle and you'll be loading/unloading your valuables into and out of your vehicle up and down a steep hill more frequently than you expected. Other than 4 wheel drive issue and not having the ability to lock the house this place is a great get-away spot that is secluded in nature. My wife and I plan on renting this place again.
Location is nice and quiet, peaceful. Cabin is nice and clean. Absolutely bring a 4x4 vehicle or plan on parking on top of the hill and walking down to the cabin. Recommend bringing your own toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, and toiletries.
My family and I had an outstanding weekend at this beautiful Lakehouse. Owner is so nice and accommodating. This cabin is so peaceful! We saw lots of wild life. We fished and had a great hike. Absolutely so peaceful!
A beautiful and secluded getaway right on the lake! Picture perfect. I would definitely stay here again.
