It was chilly October weather so we didn't make use of outdoor extras (spa tub, etc.). But inside it was comfortable with several rooms that worked so well for conversations with family members, dining and generally relaxing. The well-stocked Jensens's Grocery was a short walk away. From before we arrived to after we returned home Steve was always quick to reply to messages from us. In addition he and his housekeeper went the extra mile to quickly return through the mail an important item that was accidentally left behind. Kudos to them and a strong recommendation for this property.

Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. Very charming, rustic but tasteful, fully stocked house. Everything you can possibly need is in this house - from cooking to cocktail hour to family games etc. Perfect! Highly recommend. Great communication from host as well.

We had lots and lots of fun.The place is amazing, the house is old and gives you a glimpse of how our grandparents lived in the past, with today's technology.Steve was above and beyond, he let us check in from the early morning and gave us all the time we needed after checking out. When I go to lake Arrowhead again I know where to stay, @ Steve's.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this cabin! From the moment we arrived. The cabin itself is beautiful & cozy, the location was ideal—close enough to town for convenience, but far enough to offer complete tranquility. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, our host Steve is the best. He provided great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. Overall, this cabin was the perfect getaway, and we cannot wait to return. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to relax and recharge in a beautiful, peaceful setting!

We found this property very charming and just as we expected based on the listing. Only caveat was that the upper bathroom shower was non-functioning due to a stripped shower handle (hot water).

No Smoke detector battery. Spider in sink.Shower arms too low. Two showers( 2.5x2.5 and 3x2.5).Toilet directly in front of sink to where knees are under the sink.No firewood to speak of. Directions say to bring your own but later says do not bring your own. Wi-Fi incorrect had to call. Lock box difficult to find based on info.Everything covered in leaves in back. All floors creak esp upstairs. No insulation inside. Walls are just one plank thick as well as doors. Price based on condition should have been less than half we paid. A Used bath towel hanging behind master door upon arrival. No TV in living room/bar area with fireplace. Very dark in rooms, not well lit like pics.No lake nearby to Jump into. Quite a walk and the access is limited to cards not aware of and usually only docks with boats.Hot water handle in shower just spun and would not turn on. Used a pocket knife to tighten temporarily.Floors so creaky it’s obnoxious and embarrassing.First floor okay. Second floor is the main issue. Sharing a closet toilet with 3 bedrooms does not work. One small toilet downstairs with access down a steep flight of stairs that are creaky as well. The hot tub is not private but open to full view of neighbors. It was so rustic the price paid should have been much lower to match the accommodations. Very disappointing to my family. The only host contact when I called him to verify the wi-fi. No Nespresso found. Coffeemaker made a huge mess.Microwave dirty. All trash cans full outside.

We were a family of four including two teenagers and also had our lovely dog with us. I would say the house was perfect for us. We could have two more people with us but my parents couldn’t make it. This house was much better than it looked in the pictures. It was a great place to get away from daily routines and get completely refreshed! It was like you get to experience Steve’s life. The house was full of amazing motivational books which you would enjoy reading while sitting beside a very beautiful burning fire! All rooms had separate TVs and there was one separate TV with Netflix on it. There was also albums of pictures which made you curious to see who Steve really was. The jacuzzi with hot water under raining weather was another great experience. There was a work room which was perfect as my husband had to work for a few hours and that was the best place for him. The house was located in an amazing location which you could walk and enjoy the scenery for a long time. Steve was super helpful from the beginning. He had prepared detailed instructions about everything and had even a file containing his favorites. The kitchen was fully equipped with all we needed. Access to different places we needed was very easy as well. As a whole we had a great time in his lovely cabin which he had put so much thought planning it. Thank you Steve for such a great opportunity. We lived your house!

Enjoyed a relaxing few days at this beautiful cabin. Easy access, private parking within premises. Quiet, residential and serene neighborhood. Amenities were spot on with everything being stocked. Comfortable beds and plenty of blankets to keep us warm. The kids loved the TV lounge with access to all their kids programs. Thanks for the swift communication when we had some network issues. Resolved quick and easy. Highly recommended!
