My husband and I enjoyed staying at Rivermist. Great place for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The cabin is quaint and cozy. The outside is beautiful. We were there in February and the weather prevented us from getting in the river but we enjoyed the hot tub. Doug was welcoming and helpful with tips on how to maneuver the roads since they had had a melt from a recent snow. Check in and out went smooth. Be sure to allow some extra time upon check out for washing towels and putting them in the dryer. I did cook some meals while there and will say that some of the cookware needs to be updated. Easy fix, tho.Overall, 5 stars.

Off the beaten path and perfect in every way. Lot’s of fish to catch and plenty to do. Very clean and well kept and didn’t feel or look like a rental as these places can sometimes do. Owner called to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. Would love to book again. You do have neighbors on each side but separated by trees and fence. People were friendly and waived. Waterfront feature takes the cake, close to Mercier Orchard and other fun stuff. Don’t wait, book with confidence!

Lovely cabin, all the aminities you would expect.Trout fishing was awsume and loved the peice and quite of lounging on the deck. Drive way was a breeze to get up and down in a mini van ft wheel drive. Blue ridge is very nice and so is mcaysville. Our 2nd year visting the area. Owner was very nice and called just to check in.

The cabin was clean and it was very nice being on the river. The hosts did a good job communicating as well. However, the home is in Epworth, not Blue Ridge. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Further, it is not three bedrooms. There’s one downstairs bedroom with an upstairs split loft that has two beds and a bathroom. Also, it’s a bit tough to get to, so if you have a minivan or a smaller car it might be a bit tough, especially in rain or snow.

Such a cozy, quaint, perfect cabin! The location is perfect right along the creek for those of you who don’t like those mountain roads ! The owners are very communicative and nice to deal with (for lack of a better word). Very convenient to downtown blue ridge. Would definitely definitely stay here again. It’s just beautiful. Very Hansel and Gretle like. We loved it! And wished we had more time there.

Our stay at this cabin was simply magical. The place is beautifully designed, cozy, and perfectly equipped for a romantic getaway. Every detail made us feel at home, yet at the same time gave us the sense of being somewhere truly special. The location is perfect—close to charming spots and nature trails—yet peaceful enough to enjoy privacy and quiet moments together. The hot tub under the stars was an unforgettable highlight. Communication with the owners was excellent, warm, and reassuring, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.We couldn’t have asked for a better setting to create beautiful memories as a couple. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic and unforgettable escape.

One of the best stays we've ever had! Everything about this cabin was exactly the getaway we wanted for our anniversary. The cabin was clean and cozy and the hot tub was spotless! The cabin is perfectly placed between two towns where you can find anything you want within a 20 min or less drive. Blue Ridge has some of the best shops and eatery's and We can't stop thinking about Grace Prime Steakhouse. The owner of the property is over and beyond helpful and had so much great information about the area. Any questions we had they responded very quickly! We can't wait to return and enjoy another weekend in this wonderful place.

We stayed here for 9 days, and honestly it was the first time I ever considered for even a second, becoming a squatter! It’s so quiet (except for the rush of water over the rocks in the creek). That “noise” was one that we could listen to forever. Didn’t catch any fish, but had fun trying. Beds were very comfortable, the furnishings were tasteful. Our two favorite places were the back porch and the hot tub. Plenty of seating on the back porch and the hot tub was FABULOUS! Big enough to seat 5 or 6 people (family or good friends), just hot enough and lots of jets. I want one just like it!We travelled to Bryson City and rode the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad steam train. It was a great experience. Went treasure hunting and site seeing in the Antique Mall and bought homemade fudge. We just had a blast!Fair warning, you are going to have to go slow going down the road to get to the cabin. Some sections are steep, but it is a mountain cabin, so there you go. If you decide to book here, you will not regret it.

This cabin was perfect for a get away! The home itself was so comfortable and had all the amenities. The location was fantastic. The water was great and our fishermen caught some out-of-this-world trout! A nightly fire with the moving water as our background music, and clear skies was just what we needed. Doug & Loraine are perfect hosts. We are thinking of when we can plan another stay.

10 out of 10!! Choose this property!! We loved this cabin and the wonderful views of fightingtown Creek. There was so much detail and thought put into this gorgeous property decor and design. They thought of everything! It is exactly as the pictures show it and more!! The outside lights automatically turn on where ever you are on the property if there isn’t a light already on, so safe and beautiful! The hot tub was amazing and everything was so clean. Doug was very attentive and there were no issues. My husband had a blast catching the trout right there on the property. It is catch and release fishing which was good for us being from out of town. There is a Walmart really close and convenient where you can get a fishing license like we did. There is also a lot to do in town. We rode the Blue Ridge Scenic railway and we ate at The Waterfront Bar & Grill in TN and did some shopping. We also ate in town at the Bumble Bee restaurant for breakfast one day. Both places were really good. We spent most of our time at the cabin and it was so relaxing just hanging out there and spending quality time together - Thank you Doug and Loraine for sharing your blessing with others - We can’t wait to come back again!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived it immediately felt like home. The decor was so intentional and gave the perfect cabin vibe. The property is beautiful and just as described/pictured. The creek and fire pit were all he highlights of our stay. As others have mentioned, it is a bit tough to get to the property due to steepness or driveway and gravel roads, so that is something to consider if you don’t have the right type of vehicle but we had no issues getting there. Overall, we had an excellent time and would love to come back!

The cabin is amazing! It is very clean and cozy and the river is just steps from the back door. We enjoyed the fishing and managed to land a few. The fire pit was prepared and the hot tub is well looked after. Part of the road is gravel and if you drive a low riding car you might have a bit of a problem getting in. We drive a Flex and arrived just fine. Our friends drove a Kia and they could not make it. The owner is pleasant and is making every effort to get the gravel repaired and looking to pave this area. We will definitely book another visit. We highly recommend this cabin.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at River Mist Cabin. When we first arrived we found the road a little daunting, but with a four wheel drive vehicle we more than managed it. The cabin was cozy and well-appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable. Communication with the owners was excellent, and believe me when I say I asked them a number of questions and they were prompt in their replies and extremely courteous and understanding. Check in and check out was easy. I believe they have a little gem of paradise called River Mist Cabin.

My husband enjoyed walking off the porch and fly fishing in the stream. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading. The owners have thought of every detail for their guest. Kitchen was well stocked with necessities. The porch had fishing poles ready to go. The fire pit already had wood ready to burn. We will definitely return to this little piece of heaven.

Recently I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful riverfront cabin, and it truly exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the seamless blend of comfort and natural beauty that this property offers. The interior of the cabin is both stylish and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The living area is spacious and thoughtfully designed, lt offers stunning views of the river. We loved curling up on the sofas with a good movie , enjoying the tranquil scenery just outside. The real highlight of the cabin, though, is the outdoor experience. The private riverfront location provides easy access to fantastic fishing right from the property. We spent hours casting our lines and savoring the peaceful surroundings-truly a fisherman's paradise. The outdoor amenities are exceptional. The hot tub was a standout feature, offering a luxurious way to unwind after a day of adventure. We enjoyed relaxing under the stars, soaking in the warm bubbles while listening to the soothing sound of the river. The firepit area was another favorite spot. Evenings spent gathered around the firepit, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories, were incredibly memorable. The setting is perfect. The hosts were wonderful, providing thoughtful touches and excellent recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests were evident throughout our visit.

Very clean, cozy cabin with beautiful landscaping and great view of the river. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and seclusion. The driveway and roads to access were one-lane, gravel, steep roads that were quite stressful for us non-locals to maneuver, but we managed. As Floridians, we were not prepared for mountain life. We thought fishing gear would have been provided and we could eat fish for dinner, but that was not the case. Bring all your own gear for catch & release. There were close neighbors & constant construction that we didn't expect and it rained the whole week, but none of that could have been controlled. Lots of rules to keep things running smoothly, so be prepared for that. This is not a 3 bed/3 bath cabin as advertised. It has 1 bedroom and 2 beds in an open loft. There are only 2 bathrooms. Owners are very kind and personalble. We visited in July (trying to escape the FL summer heat) so there were lots of bugs and the fire pit made us sweat, as it was very sticky after the daily rains, but I'm sure it's a different experience at different times of year. This would be excellent for seeing fall colors or snow while enjoying the fireplace. Perfect for those who want to stay put and disconnect. Prepare to bring all food, paper products, firewood, fishing gear and something to do. You'll need to wash all dishes and towels and strip beds before leaving too. It would help to drive a 4X4 as well! Overall good experience, but it's a one and done for us.
