Summary:

FOX RUN CABIN - RARE FIND WITH A CREEK AND A VIEW! AND YOUR OWN PERSONAL WATERFALL ONLY ABOUT A HALF MILE HIKE UP THE MOUNTAIN CREEK!

The Space:

We knew we had found a treasure the first time we saw FOX RUN. We immediately fell in love with it's naturally peaceful ambiance. In fact, we loved it so much we decided to purchase the property and share it with others from all over the world.

The minute you pull into the driveway at Fox Run you will view it's comfortable setting nestled down in front of a gorgeous mountain view. As you step out of your car you will hear the sounds of the rushing creek that streches the entire length of the property boundary.

Upon entering the cabin you will immediately notice the fine natural cherry floors, pine wood construction and the sweet wood aroma that you would expect in a custom hand built mountain cabin. It is open, airy and spacious. It is truly a gem.

Fox Run is undoubtedly one of the most popular cabins available for guests who want to come and enjoy the wonders of the Great Smoky Mountains!

It's so peaceful... Shhh!!! We've been told that God lives there. We're pretty sure he does!

Getting to the cabin is absolutely unsafe. The o Lane ‘road’ is little more than the width of your tires and drops significantly so the one

Beautiful and peaceful cabin in the mountains! Loved the extra Christmas decorations for our holiday stay. Had everything we needed and then some. Felt like a home away from home. Excellent owner communication. Would love to stay here again!

Cabin was exactly as described. Pictures do not do it justice. The sound of the creek and constant running creek was so soothing while slipping hot tea on the porch. Our mother loved this trip because of the seclusion and the Mountain View. The host was super responsive. Beds are comfy and kitchen has everything you need to stay in and cook a nice meal, you just have to bring the groceries. We loved our stay and will definitely rebook when we return to this town.

House was great along with the location. Road was narrow but still plenty of space on each side with a large pickup. House was clean and furniture was clean. The biggest downside was we specifically wanted a hot tub but went to get in the first night and had debris in it(sand, dirt and leaves) so we dipped out what we could. By the second night it was obvious that the water had been in there a while and a lack of chemicals due to the stagnant smell of the water and was already cloudy. By the 3rd night you couldn’t see the bottom of the tub so we only were able to use it for 1 night. Other than the hot tub everything was great!

Very remote, nice for privacy. Beautiful stream just below hot tub, was nice to hear stream every morning sitting on back porch having coffee. Very tight one lane road going to cabin very steep, a little nerve racking for us. We made sure we were back from daily adventures before dark. Cleanliness was not good. Wooden floors were very dirty. The master bed mattress cover was filthy. Covered in animal and human hair and stains. Informed property manager Jack and he didn’t seem to believe me so I have photos of just how bad it was. Towels were old and dingy looking. Gatorade bottle and plastic water bottle were left in yard when we arrived? So it was either yard service or previous guest who left them. Just not what we expected from photos. Will not be returning to this property.

It was remote (very remote) BUT was nice to get away. The house was nicely laid out, had everything we needed. The property was on a ravine and cleared off piece with trees around. I am glad we took the SUV because you drive through a creek to get to the house, which was fun!

There was a lot of ants in the kitchen and was unable to leave cookies on counter. They were covered in ants and roaches. We had mouse running around during our stay. The pictures online where we made them was so much better than there. Unable to see the creek because of overgrowth and grass needed cutting. The pillows also were very used and had a smell to them. Please know that this is the only bad review I have ever left at any stays. We only slept at cabin because of these issues with the bugs and critters, didn't hang out there.

Loved waking up and sitting on the porch in the mornings before the other woke up. Being from Florida the weather was great with no humidity. Only suggestion would be to up date couch and recliner, they seemed a little wore out. Loved being able to take my dog he loved playing with his dad in the creek and laying on the porch.

Unmowed property, grass a foot tall, not enough toilet paper or paper towels. Hot tub leaks and doesn't heat up. Overgrown by the creek. Couldn't see the creek because of all the overgrown weeds. We discovered the garden hose was on down by the hot tube. Someone before us left it running. We turned it off.
