AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2024, through the first quarter of 2024(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.

Gorgeous location to be close to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Hendersonville, and Asheville - all were just a quick, beautiful drive away through the mountains. I have a tiny Toyota Yaris, and it could make the drive, so you can too! I've booked through VRBO in the past and regretted it when I got to the property, realizing my little car just couldn't get up a mountain road. You won't deal with that here. You will deal with beautiful views, a clean space, a gorgeous deck to read till your heart's content, or a space to sit by the fire and cast your cares away. Definitely recommend, and will definitely be back.
We stayed for two weeks in October. Cute little cabin right on the river. Great deck to sit on and relax and drink morning coffee and listen to the river go by. Host is available to answer all questions and is professional and personable. We will be back!
Really Enjoyed Carolina Properties Are Great
Please dont use two glade plugins..the smell was overwhelming. Needs a tv in the bedoom.
Great location near lots of natural hiking, waterfalls and Lake Lure. Cottage was perfect size for 2 adults/small pet. All appliances new and clean. Mattress was perfect. Deck beside river WAS THE BEST! Enjoyed coffee out on deck every morning. Property management was easy to speak with and very attentive.
Great spot if you like to fish or sit by the water. Quick access to chimney rock village.
We had a great time staying here. We loved the rocks and stream and we loved how close we were to Chimney Rock.
My family loves this cozy cabin on the river. We have been staying here for years & hope to many more. I would suggest moving the sign on the deck railing to a spot that doesn’t block the view of the river, otherwise it’s perfect!
Was more than we expected, had everything and more that would be needed plus a firepit, bbq, a picnic table on the deck over looking the Briad river. Was even able to flyfish 20 feet out the back door. Ample parking and close to shopping and restaurants. Was just outstanding, hope to return soon.
The river was amazing! The trees were showing fall colors and provided a beautiful background. We had a slight problem with the lock & maintenance corrected the problem remotely.
Luved listening to the “roaring” river - so lulling. When two adults and two large four-legged fur-babies live in 5000 square feet and then stay together in 500 square feet for a week - a TIGHT space. A well appointed “tiny house,” with EVERYTHING you really need! King-sized bed is comfortable. All cotton linens - no polyester [bring your own feather pillow]. All kitchen necessities [no dishwasher - bring paper plates!], including a mixer [if you want to bake a cake?]. A PERFECT deck overlooking the river with a picnic table - coffee and wine were thoroughly enjoyed, there. Unfortunately it rained [ha! it POURED!] five out of our six days making it way too muddy for the fur-babies next to the river… But, my husband and I still managed to take advantage of the fire-pit AND damp evenings outdoors. There are a couple of warnings posted about how SLIPPERY THE ROCKS are. THEY ARE!!! Took four days for a pair of hiking boots to dry out… We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this “tiny house” and found plenty to do nearby, including great hikes with our fur-babies.
