This modern mini cabin is located above the banks of the Tuckaseegee River. Enjoy the perfect marriage of form and function, stunning design and all the comforts of home, even a tv on the deck! This ideal location offers views of the river as well as being just 1 minute from downtown Bryson City! Also, Deep Creek National Park is only a mile away. You can fish the day away, hike or hop on Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. So many awesome attractions right at your finger tips!

This upscale home offers a bedroom with a king bed, upgraded linens, granite counter tops, custom craftsmanship, rain shower head, a convertible sleeper sofa in the living room, private outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill and many comforts of home while putting you right in the middle of all the outdoor adventure you can handle. Whether its world class fly fishing steps from the cabin, a train ride, miles of nearby hiking, award winning breweries or a relaxing getaway you crave, you will certainly see that River's Edge is a great home base for your adventure!

What to Bring:
Firewood
Charcoal
Coffee for drip coffee maker
Coffee condiments

*We provide a starter amount of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags etc. These are meant to last a couple of days. If you're booking a longer stay, you will want to bring more of these items.

River's Edge is so close to town but feels remote! Experience the best of both worlds here. This Mountain Modern house is tucked away on the banks of the Tuckasegee River with a dirt road and the Smoky Mountain Railroad fronting the property. Guests enjoy watching the tourist train pass by, especially in November and December when it's decorated for the Polar Express! Old River road is also a great resource offering prime river access or take a leisure walk down the long dirt road. The house is also only about a mile away from Deep Creek, which is park of The Smoky Mountains National Park.

Getting Around: Driving is our recommendation. Biking and walking to town are options. Be aware that there are not sidewalks between the house and town. However, people do walk this section along the side of the road. Traffic can be heavy along this stretch of road and the side of the road isn't well maintained.

1. This property has gravel parking for one standard sized Vehicle. No Trailers allowed
2. We do allow dogs for a fee. 2 dogs up to 50lbs each maximum. Please read and adhere to our pet rules while staying in our house. Once you add your dog(s) to the guest count, the pet fee will be displayed in the summary of charges. We have strick pet rules: No dogs on the furniture/bed(s) for any reason. No dogs running loose on our property. Pickup dog waste. Hair found on furniture or in linens will incur an addition charge beyond the pet fee.
3. The house has a full kitchen and almost everything you would need to prepare any meal. However, the kitchen is not stocked with condiments or supplies with the exception of a few spices and salt and pepper.
4. The sleeper sofa lays down into a full sized bed. It's comfortable for 1 to 2 people and linens are provided.
5. There are two other vacation rental dwellings on this property. Each house has its own private outdoor space.
6. The Great Smoky Mountains railway runs in front of the property. This is a scenic tourist train that runs during the day/evening/early night and is a big reason why people visit Bryson City. It does not run during the night when people generally are sleeping.

Very cute and efficient. My only negative is the couch. It needs to be upgraded if you are calling this a bed. Fine for sitting. Not so much for sleeping

Very well stocked and the exterior and interior design was very pleasant. I liked the location on the river, close to Bryson City but felt private and remote. Important areas (bath, kitchen, sheets) were clean but as I often find most of the light fixtures and bulbs needed dusted as well as under the bed. Only stayed one night but will probably plan another longer stay in the future.

Very convenient stay with modern appeal. You could very easily walk to town within 15 minutes on foot, and not even 2 minutes by car. Being near the railroad tracks is a pretty cool feature, not even that noisy and only operates in the middle of the day. If youre a fly fisher theres a river just a few steps away from the property. I would definitely revisit here if im staying in NC!

We traveled w an 18 yr old and 15 yr old and the pull out couch was not fit for either of them. I would imagine it would fit a toddler but our kids are bigger and they both had to sleep on floor because the sofa bed was very small.

Such a sweet little place to stay. We were there for the Polar Express. Our granddaughters LOVED that the train ran right by our place. They would run outside and wave to each car. Also it is 5 minutes from everywhere!

Great rental in a great location in a great little town. 5 minutes from Bryson City and 5 minutes from the National Park. The river is full of trout and the town has great things to see and do. The rental was perfect for us and very nice. Will come back!

Property was as pictured and host was responsive. The only thing was the cleanliness was a bit of an issue for us. Hairs in the shower and pet hair in other areas. We did not bring up to host as it wasn’t worth the hassle and we just cleaned our self. Great view of the train and still quiet and cozy.

We had a really nice time. Due to overgrowth we couldn’t see much of the river and there was a lot of dust piling up on certain surfaces but overall it was clean and bed was comfy. Great location to town, very odd way to get to it across railroad tracks that isn’t quite detailed but we figured it out. The bedroom tv didn’t work. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Stay in the Perfect Cabin! We had such a great experience staying at this cabin — it was absolutely perfect for our little family. The location couldn't have been better: just minutes from the train station (which was the main reason we visited Bryson City), and also super close to downtown and the Smoky Mountains. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and incredibly well-stocked. It had all the amenities we needed — all we had to bring was a bit of food, some drinks, and a readiness to relax. It felt like a home away from home.We would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Very nice stay for the price, we had a few issues with living room AC being leaky but my boyfriend used to work with those units so it was fine. About an hour drive to any given trail in the Smokies and very close to town without feeling like you’re smothered with other tourists. Washer/dryer provided and plenty of towels! If you have severe pet allergies bring a few Zyrtec to sleep and you'll be perfectly fine, there was no visible pet hair but if you're like me the residual pet funk may trigger allergies.

We went just after Helene hit NC. I was nervous about Hurricane damage and accessibility. Hosts were very nice and communicative about conditions in Bryson. We made the trip and had a great time. Everything was as described. The driveway along the tracks startled my wife but no issues after we were used to it. House is charming and small but plenty of room for a couple or small family. Enough different spaces to allow for privacy. Efficient little kitchen. Other houses are close but not on top of you and landscaping allows for privacy.

This was the perfect place to stay in Bryson City. We’ve stayed in several areas here. We will stay again but might try to get the one next door with hot tub. Impressed with interior and all it had. We walked down to river and relaxed in floats and enjoyed the train going by and just walking around. Thank you for providing a wonderful place for just the 2 of us. Ladies staying g next door really night We just felt bad for the family who suffered the loss from that awful fire on Thursday night.
