If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, surrounded by nature - yet lacking none of the modern amenities - you’ve found it with this charming, riverfront retreat. Tucked into the trees and sitting right on the North Fork of the Teanaway River, this lovingly-restored, old-growth cedar cabin offers endless opportunities for quiet relaxation. With plentiful hiking trails nearby and downtown Cle Elum’s shops, restaurants, bars, and cafés about 15 miles away, you’ll find no shortage of fun activities.
At home, your outdoor space includes a large, open lawn and a spacious deck, perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Grab an Adirondack chair and listen to the sound of the river - and nothing else. Fire up the gas grill for an easy family cookout and spend evenings gathered around the firepit, trading stories of the day.
Inside, you’ll find all the comforts of home. Hardwood floors, pine-paneled walls, and a cozy woodstove enhance the cabin vibes, and the open layout makes gathering together easy. The chef will love the full, well-equipped kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances and plenty of prep space, and the gang can eat together at the large dining table. Spend the day exploring and then relax together in the living room in front of the woodstove, or head upstairs to the second living space.
Stream a movie or grab a board game for more together time. When you get sleepy, two well-appointed bedrooms - plus a fun bunk room for the kids - await, guaranteeing a restful night. Lucky guests of the primary bedroom upstairs will enjoy a gorgeous view, gas fireplace, and a spa-like en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and stone shower. Drift off to sleep, but not before stepping back out to the deck to toast your good luck at booking this gorgeous river getaway.

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this retreat, from the quiet site right on a bubbling river, to the proximity to great Cascade hikes, to an easy jaunt to Cle Elum for groceries and beer.
This was a lovely getaway....the river, the home and its comforts....all combined to create a very restorative time. We will most likely return.
We came the first week of September, and really enjoyed the stay! 20 mins to Cle Elum, and 30 mins to Suncadia. The cabin is very clean, the appliances are stainless steel and up to date, and the furniture is very nice. The property backs into the Teanaway River, so you feel like you are truly in nature. Lots of windows in the house as well! There is a gas fire-pit and a wood-burning fire pit on property as well, and there are lounge-chairs on the patio for relaxing. The host is very kind and accommodating, he lives in the cabin next door, and is more than happy to assist you if needed. Some minor things to note: the internet is VERY SLOW. Do not expect to get any work done online, and the phone/LTE service through Verizon is spotty as well. The water smells like sulphur - it must be naturally occurring from the well. The master bedroom is upstairs, and is in an open-plan with the bathroom - so there is no door that you can shut to give yourself privacy while taking a shower. The upstairs toilet fortunately has a separate room with a door you can close for privacy. No complaints for the downstairs bathroom.
My friends and I stayed at the property for 3 nights. Lynn was incredibly helpful with check-in. The property was perfect for our group of 5. Easy access to the river and proximity to downtown and Suncadia was a plus. The house is nicely decorated and cozy. We had a great weekend!
Coffee in the morning by the rivers edge, wine and cheese on the fantastic deck, with everything you need within a 20 minute drive and yet you feel wonderfully remote. This property is gorgeous, well-appointed and excellently located for fun or relaxation, or both!
Beautiful country and incredible stay. Lynn was very welcoming and very accommodating. We loved our stay and look forward to going back in the fall.
The place was everything and more, great location beautiful property and easy check in and out. Lynn was there to greet us and show us around the property, and even dropped off flowers while we were having dinner which we really appreciated. Loved the grill and the Viking stove and the large deck to relax on after hiking all day . Had great time with family and we will for sure be back.
We enjoyed our stay here - the house is close to the river and just a few miles from hiking, mt biking and fishing spots. House was clean and in order when we arrived. Just a few more utensils needed in the kitchen (bigger knives and a cutting board) but the appliances were all very nice. Beds were comfortable. Will go back again!
What a beautiful place to stay during this time of Covid. The cabin is well equipped with a great grill and other amenities. I loved the riverside location. The river was a great place to cool off after hiking all day. Numerous hiking trails were only a short drive away. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet getaway with easy access to the great wilderness area of the Teanaway region. Though I have only stayed here during the summer season. The cabin seems well equipped with a generous covered entrance and a grand wood stove. I will definitely be back for the winter season as well.
What an amazing place, actually perfect! We loved it! Hopeful to go back many times!!!!
