Stayed Jun 20, 2025The house is beautiful and has an incredible view of the river. The house is comfortable and has everything you need to spend a few wonderful days with your family. However, one detail that will not let you feel comfortable is that the house has cameras everywhere and you will feel watched all the time. There is a camera in front of the jacuzzi, which will not allow you to have privacy at any time. If you plan to go, keep in mind that you will be watched at all times and your vacation will be without privacy.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024Beautiful home with many things broken or not cleaned. Gas grill broken, toaster broken, TV broken, garbage disposal broken. Outside areas dirty - lots of cobwebs, old sock on porch. Linens old and threadbare - on fitted sheet was actually torn. It doesn’t appear than anyone: maintenance or owner has been there in quite some time. Do not recommend.

Stayed Sep 5, 2024We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for 6 adults. The stream is very relaxing and you can tube and fish in it. The hot tub was nice too! The fire pit was a great way to spend the evening outside. There are many stairs, so if you have any mobility issues this is not the house for you!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We gathered with family and friends in Ellijay for a family retirement celebration. This was the ideal location. The house was beautiful, spacious, and the property offered everything we needed to entertain all ages. We really enjoyed swimming in the river, playing pool, and have that big living room space where we sat together to share memories and sing karaoke.

Stayed Jul 21, 2024This was a great place to get away for a week in the summer. July 2024-very wet, rain almost daily. Made it so much more relaxing!!! River-slow and shallow enough for younger kids to play. As long as you can see the rocks. It did rain almost daily and one day all the rocks were under water and we did not let the kids enter then. Not good fishing when we were there July. Wildlife- spotted deer several times, lots and lots of birds, even a bear one morning!!! Kitchen- it does have everything you “need” but the quality of stuff provided did leave something to be desired. When we come back we will bring our own as some of the mixing utensils were just bad. And the knives were very dull with no way to sharpen. We cooked every meal there expect for one so that was a bit of a pain point for me. Recommending bring your own cutting board as well, they have one but it’s very used and was difficult to clean since everything was sticking to it. Gas stove and grill were both perfect for cooking! And they did have everything you could need for the grill. Downtown Ellijay- CUTE little downtown. Perfect for a lite afternoon. Many little places to wonder. Several antique shops, wine places, fudges and soaps. Lots of fun. And parking there is plenty and free. Shopping- several small grocery stores once you get to main road and a Walmart about 30 mins away. Property- this was a lovely home and we would go back. It was perfect that everyone had their own room to retire. Bedrooms did not have personal tvs a bit of a bummer for the kids. Game rooms has a good selection to pick from, it is in the basement with very cold concrete floors don’t know if we would have used as much in the winter. Patios were so comfortable and you can sit and listen to the river, could have used a dusting of some of the cobwebs though. Fair warning- the road to get there is Rough. Gravel and steep turns, a few places had washed out. Lucky our party had 4 wheel drive and experienced drivers but I don’t know if I would want to take a sedan on it (but we did see some on that road.) Also to note the outside did have some slippery stones. For the walk way to get into the home since that is where the keypad is we choose to use driveway to avoid them. If you had elderly guests with us I would be very cautious. Also the steps leading into the river. Also the path leading to the fire pit and down to the river was very washed out and more mud then stone when we were there so just be prepared. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. We would definitely go back as it was the perfect drive time for us. The home itself was wonderful just needs a bit more maintenance. The hot tub was not working at the time of our visit and we did have a few uninvited guests get in to the trash outside and a few bugs get inside. But it was not enough to outweigh being about to sit outside and just live with the sound of the water and wildlife around. Perfect with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine!

Stayed Jul 13, 2024This house is so well appointed. A few noisy fans but no big deal. I have rented many and I think this may be the cleanest I’ve ever stayed at. I came prepared with Lysol wipes and never had to open one. Everything you could possibly need or want! The river and mountains - fabulous! We will be back.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024The cabin is as in the pictures; nice location, river front, very spacious, well equipped, great location. Rooms are big, beds are really comfortable. Road to get to it is adventurous. Super market near by, plenty of activities and nice wineries within 30 mins drive. We really loved it

Stayed Jun 7, 2024The house is beautiful, the amenities were amazing, the river and fire pit area, stunning! However, the Patio's were very dusty, some of the upstairs patio furniture was dirty/stained and the outdoors is in need of maintenance clean-up/trimming of large branches that were about to fall, etc.

Stayed May 5, 2024Three aging brothers, two disabled spouses, probably seeing each other for the last time. A storm knocked out power Wednesday. But this property had a generator, something we checked on before we booked. It kicked right in and ran until the early morning when we were awakened to a carbon monoxide alarm and the abrupt shutdown of the generator. Darkness. No flashlights. Aired the home out and called the property management folks. They promised someone would be out that day. Midday I called again to let them know our situation and how dangerous it would be for us if the generator isn’t repaired. They promised again that someone would be there by the end of the day. End of the day I called again and let them know that if we had no power and no lights by morning we would have to leave and that I would expect a refund for the days lost. They said someone was coming and there was no possibility of any refund because the outage was natural causes. I reminded them that we had chosen this property because it had a generator and the generator failure was not an act of God. Morning came and went with no further contact with management. So we had no choice and left. I've used Vrbo many times and always had access and Communications with the owner. Not with this rental. Our very special trip, three elderly brothers, my wife still fighting cancer for a third year and a disabled sisterlaw just ruined. Perhaps the owner will make an effort to compensate us a bit. Let you know.
