Enjoyed listening to the river. The hot tub was nice after hiking. Bath mat and rugs were very dirty. Be aware of driving to the property that you turn immediately after the barn! There are big ruts in the road so a four wheel is helpful. Definitely not a low riding car. There is no Wi-Fi or cell service. A landline might be helpful if there was an emergency. Probably would not rent the cabin again.

The cabin was really close to another cabin. The lighting was not good at all inside the cabin or outside. There was no cellphone service nor WiFi signal which was a concern. We were unable to plan to visit any local attractions because of not having signal. There was heavy mold in the shower and on walls in the bathroom on the first floor (I took pictures, because it was a concern.) The towels felt like they had been line dried and were tough and scratchy. You could not get to the river as the picture indicates you can. The only positive thing was that Colonial did communicate quickly with us when we lost power. We had to drive out to a local parking lot to receive a call back.

Our stay at the River Romp was short & sweet! We enjoyed the hot tub as soon as we arrived after a long day of traveling & after exploring Gatlinburg! The cabin is tucked pretty high up on top a rock cliff , the river is beautiful! Wish it could have been a little closer to the river. Thank you , we really enjoyed our time here.

Overall a nice cabin, nestled in the woods above a beautiful river. The cabin was clean, with just a few problems, the hot tub was broke and unusable, the upstairs toilet was also inoperable,, a few other minor problems, but overall a nice experience. I would recommend it to others.

Cabin was nice and clean. Not too private, neighboring cabin is very close (shares driveway). Cabin does not offer river/water access. River is down a steep cliff and inaccessible. Cabin was very basic and did not offer a lot of amenities. Kitchen was very scares on tools and utensils making it hard to actually prepare/eat meals. Absolutely no extra linens. No extra blankets to snuggle on couch with or even to throw on the bed on cooler nights. Bed offered a sheet and thin comforter. No extra pillows either. Cabin isn't bad, but will probably try another lodging option if we visit again.

Cabin was just the right size for our weekend getaway to the Smokies. The bed was comfortable and both bathrooms clean and functioning. Kitchen had ample room and was well-furnished for our needs, to include a coffee pot! The hot tub on the deck was a welcome way to relax after walking and exploring both the attractions of Gatlinburg and the nearby National Parks. Although we didn't have time to enjoy the fireplace, it was also clean and looked like it would help warm the cabin and make it even more cozy. Parking is a little tight, since you share a one-lane gravel driveway with another cabin 30' away, but you can still get two small to medium-sized vehicle parked if needed. We will definitely consider this cabin for our next visit!

The cabin check in process was very easy! The cabin was quaint and clean. I was looking for something a little more private and the descriptions hinted to being secluded but it wasn’t. Cannot beat the river! The sounds from it are so nice and relaxing. The tv remote controls were a little problematic haha

we didn’t think we were going to like the property location with it being 30 minutes into gatlinburg/pigeon forge, but we LOVED the location it was kind of our getaway from reality. just plac me to just relax on the porch or in the hot tub. the hot tub does need to be hotter though, especially for it being the winter time. our specific location didn’t have much kitchen cooking ware. we stayed in and ate most of the time so having a little more kitchen ware would be good. but overall the experience, location, and setting was perfect! we will definitely be back!

The location is very scenic. It is away from the noise and congestion of the cities, but close enough to be convenient to get to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Excellent accommodation for a couple. We would definitely return.
