Stayed Nov 26, 2025Host was great to work with, easy communication. The accommodations were great for our family groups of 6 adults and seven kids. Secluded, nice mountain view, convenient to Suwannee and nice trails.

Stayed Oct 23, 2025The house is nice and the property feels very secluded. However, the host had double booked the tiny house on the property and didn't disclose it to me until after confirming our reservation. She wanted to keep both reservations in place. Also, the day after our trip ended the host reached out to me directly, outside of the VRBO platform, and alleged damages that simply were not true/accurate while asking me if I wanted to resolve this directly before the claim is filed.

Stayed May 1, 2025We had an incredible time at the rising sun retreat. The accommodations were perfect for our large group. We especially loved the sauna and wraparound porch. The location is convenient to Sewanee and lots of nature and hiking. Thank you Brooke for a great trip!

Stayed Apr 4, 2025This place is absolutely incredible. I suspected it would be special, but the pictures don’t do it justice. The views are spectacular, the accommodations are cozy and comfortable, and the property is beautiful. The home is charming and thoughtfully put together—it certainly doesn’t feel like a rental (in the best ways!), but rather feels as if you’re visiting a really special family property. The host was very responsive and helpful, and we will definitely be back.
