This cabin is an absolute gem! Clean, peaceful, and so beautiful! Canoeing was close and trails are right out the back door! They take such great care of you at the Blue Canoe!

Fantastic get away location for the family. Everything about the stay way above expectations. The view from the patio to the peace and quiet on the property is perfect for those looking to get away and relax next to the Buffalo River.If you’re looking to trail hike for the day or float the river, coming back to the cabin to relax is well worth it. Would highly recommend!

This cabin is beautiful and all the little “extras” from the hosts make the visit truly special. It is in top of a mountain with an excellent road in, so the drive in was easy. The location made the star gazing as good as we have ever experienced. Local cuisine is only a few minutes drive and the food was terrific. We HIGHLY recommend a stay at the Blue Canoe!

The host provided inviting and complete communication from the start. The property's location provided a sense of seclusion while being centrally located to everything we had planned for the week. The cabin was clean and well-organized, providing everything we needed for our stay.

The Blue Canoe cabin getaway was exactly what we were looking for in a cabin getaway! It was private and secluded in a beautiful setting. The view from the deck was amazing, especially with a cup of coffee. My wife and I were very comfortable the entire week and enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner in style. Such a great escape to nature but just down the road from the conveniences of town. We will surely plan another trip!!

It was very clean and welcoming. The owner was very attentive to everything he thought i needed to know. He even let me know about a thunderstorm coming my way. I appreciated it so much. It was lovely place to stay and just what i needed for the weekend

We stayed at the Blue Canoe Cabin last year, and loved it so much we came back and stayed again this year. It's a beautiful property with plenty to explore without leaving the boundaries, but the Buffalo National River is just a short hike away as well. The place is kept in impeccable condition, inside and out with great attention to detail. David is an excellent host, and provides as much information about the region as you could ever need. We are looking forward to coming back again!

The Blue Canoe cabin did not disappoint! David has literally thought of everything when equipping this cabin for guests. Everything you could possibly need is there for you to relax and enjoy. David is very great at communicating with guests, and taking and care of every need. The cabin was in the perfect location for floating the river, visiting local swimming holes, stargazing, and hiking the area. FIVE STAR SPOT!

Our hosts thought of everything! The kitchen was well set up, and we really appreciated the smoker. The family had plenty of spaces to socialize and plenty of space to stretch out. There were lots of activities to enjoy inside and out. If you're going to the Buffalo National River area, this is a must stay!

The most amazing place we've ever stayed! The setting and location is gorgeous! The view and peaceful surroundings are so relaxing. My entire family including our dogs absolutely loved this place. Super clean, everything you could need and so many small and thoughtful touches around the house. The pictures and decorations are so cool and there are tons of books that could keep you interested for days. The house is perfect, beds are extremely comfortable and the views from every window are gorgeous! The property is extremely private and so much exploring to do just on the property without even leaving. It's literally right by the Buffalo River. It's a short 5 or 10 minute drive to awesome swimming holes and scenic drives and hikes. The hosts were amazing and checked in to make sure we had everything and really made sure the cabin was equipped with all the things! We just can't say enough things about this place! Pictures don't do it justice. You have to go see for yourself and you will not want to leave! Go check it out!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Blue Canoe! The perfect place to have a peaceful family getaway and enjoy being together! David and Kristen do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience, not just on their property, but in the area as a whole. We were blown away by their carefully and meaningfully curated cabin and information logs. They have a true love for the outdoors and the Buffalo National River, and they share that with their guests in all of the most wonderful ways. 10/10 would recommend.

My wife and I enjoyed the cabin and its location. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated.

We had a wonderful vacation at this cabin! We loved how secluded it was, and the kids really enjoyed the loft area. Conveniently located near some great middle river floating locations and swim holes. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds while enjoyed a morning coffee on the porch, and the stars at night are amazing. We will definitely be planning a future stay at this cabin for our annual Buffalo River Trip.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. It is beautifully maintained and has all the extra amenities one could possibly need. It’s in a peaceful, secluded area which is definitely a plus. The view was just beyond amazing! David, the host, is highly accommodating. Communication was excellent, and he was also very helpful with travel tips in the area. The location was excellent in terms of travel to different sites in the area. We would love to come back and visit one day! We recommend this place 100%! Had a great time here. Close to the buffalo river. Short trails on property to explore. Plenty of yard room for games. Host was very friendly and helpful. Hope to go back soon!

I've never stayed in a rental that paid so much attention to detail. The home itself is a wonderful experience from books, maps, fun facts, details of the area etc etc. We definitely overpacked and when we come back, we know we only need to bring our clothes and toothbrush. St. Joe is a special place and even though it's small, this home gives you so much to do. The owners were so gracious and responsive, they were like fast friends. The home was very clean and nicely stocked. We had a family of 5 and it was perfect. We enjoyed the hiking, porch, star gazing, river floats, Coursey's Smoked Meat store ;) and the kids practically lived in the hammock. So much room to run, play and explore. We'll be back!

Chilled and played in the Buffalo River

This was the best rental we have stayed at. The Blue Canoe Cabin has been so thoughtfully put together and cared for, you truly feel as if someone is sharing their home with you. Our family felt at ease the moment we pulled up, and in awe at all of the thoughtful details in place. Not to mention the location and proximity to the river, this is on our repeat list for sure!!!!

Pictures do this property no justice. The cabin was home! The kitchen/BR is well supplied/stocked and the owners left no stone unturned, from the cabin layout, decor, amenities & outside landscaping. Everything is so strategically placed & we found many fun garden accessories, exploring the property. There’s an observation deck w/a bench out back, (a few steps into the woods), perfect for morning coffee/meditation or just a private conversation. Needless to say, the firepit adds warmth for a gathering spot with amazing views. Did I mention the huge porch with fans and a breeze that kept us comfortable. Be sure to browse thru the info binders. The location is perfect! Situated midway on the Buffalo River and just minutes from GILBERTS COUNTRY STORE/OUTFITTER. Then just minutes the opposite direction (Hwy 65 @ 333) you will find FERGUSONS COUNTRY STORE/RESTAURANT (def. stop in to at least browse) CRAW BILLY’S-super interesting restaurant/store. Then at the same intersection Is COURSEYS SMOKED MEAT. If you don’t feel like cooking, you have several options within minutes. Hiking Trails are a bit of a drive, but trust me, the scenery is well worth the drive! You will have no regrets. To sum it up: If you are looking for peace and quiet away from the general population, this is definitely the place to be. The amenities & comforts were above all of my expectations. The owners are very personable, welcoming & have no issues accommodating your needs. Thanks to David & Kristin !

We stayed here for Thanksgiving week 2024. We have 2 young boys and brought our dog. We all had a blast. There is plenty of room to run and play. We loved the fire at night. The cabin is very cozy. The bed is the loft is very comfortable. It is a wonderful place to unwind. The owners are very nice and communicative

We were excited for the stay based off the pictures, but the pictures honestly do not do it justice. The property is gorgeous as soon as you drive up the driveway. The cabin was in excellent condition and very very clean! The front window3s are amazing. It's easy to stare out at the view every second you are there. Every window has a nice view of the property, and the upstairs loft is the most fun to wake up in. We could see the deer in the yard before we even got out of bed. Just awesome. The fire area is done really well with large stones surrounding it keeping it very safe for kids and easy to start a fire. They have plenty of fire wood ready for use so you don't have to find any. David and Kristin have thought of every little detail for the guests, and were very helpful and responsive. They made a professional style brochure with good information about the cabin and for things to do around the area. We canoed the buffalo with buffalo river outfitters which is only a few minutes away. We drove to Cotter for some trout fishing on the White river, which is about 50 minutes away, but not bad. We took our lab with us on this trip, and she may have had the most fun exploring the property. We could not have asked for a better place to spend a few days near the buffalo river. We will return!

great location and property was just as described. Really enjoyed the privacy and big covered porch to enjoy the evenings in the forest. middle buffalo was a quick drive. highly recommend.

From the moment we entered the property, we were in love. Complete privacy and 3 deers met us. Great proximity for river floats. Cabin had everything you would need for the trip. Will definitely try to stay here again
