Grand Lake, Colorado
Must see! This adorable, knotty pine one-bedroom cabin is located within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake, and RMNP.
This 1940's cabin is loaded with historic character and located on a peaceful, aspen-filled lot within Grand Lake village. This quaint cabin has been renovated with fresh pine, but it's historic integrity has been maintained. (Please note that, because the integrity has been maintained, the doorways and beams are low for people approximately 6 feet tall and taller.) This charming cabin has a queen-size
bed, separate living and kitchen areas, bath, cozy gas fireplace, and cable television. Gas stove and microwave available. Charcoal grill, fire pit, and sitting area located outside. Use the coffee-maker in the morning, or wander downtown to one of the local lake-side coffee shops. Perhaps just lounge in the outside seating area and watch for wildlife to wander through the area. **(Please note that the mountains are a host to MANY types of wildlife. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, unwanted wildlife such as chipmunks or mice can sometimes find their way into mountain cabins. If you are uncomfortable with this possibility, this vacation choice may not be the best for you.) This cabin's charm, quiet environment, and walking-distance proximity to town, the lake, and the Rocky Mountain National Park trailheads make it an easy choice for a vacation stay.
This cabin is held to a higher safety standard than cabins located outside of the village. It is inspected annually by the Grand Lake fire department.
Do you have family/friends who are also planning to vacation We have two nearby charming cabins. (listing numbers 611187 and 899178).
Very clean and comfortable little home away from home. Ina great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Also, very dog friendly!
Owner was very nice, responsive. Cabin location fairly walkable to town, not a quick/easy walk. Due to beams in the living room portion of the cabin, it's not really for anyone over 5'9 or so. One has to walk through the LR to get from bedroom to bath overnight. Shower in bath is crazy tiny with vinyl curtains on two sides. They attack you when you step into the shower and start moving around. Curtain walls are galvanized metal so we wound up putting magnets on one wall to try and hold one of the curtains against the wall. You literally can't stand with your back against the water and raise your arms to wash your hair as there is NO room. In spite of past reviewer talking about towel shortage, there is still only 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 2 washcloths provided. Welcome binder doesn't offer info on how to operate TV, have info on emergency services or specific providers of area information. Be careful when you take the key out of the lockbox as there is a high chance of losing it between the porch slats if it falls out.
Very nice. Quiet and relaxing.
Loved our summer/4th of July stay.
Enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was everything we could hope for. Very homey and well prepared. You felt like you were in another world Quiet and secluded. Great experience.
Lovely little cabin that met all our needs and made our visit memorable and wonderful.
Great cabin very clean. We had a nice time. Walk to town is a tad challenging. Not a tualky in town. Owner was very nice and responsive.
What a great location and nice, cozy cabin! It has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and really sweet artistic touches are everywhere. Comfy bed, furniture, and warm fireplace. Rebekah was extremely friendly and helpful when an unexpected glitch caused a change from my original plans. I really appreciated her quick response and solution! I have stayed in Grand Lake many times and this was my favorite experience. I will definitely be back and will tell my friends and family about Rebekah's cabins - and hopefully bring them with me next time! Also, my dog enjoyed the stay as well. :-)
This adorable cottage was exactly what I was hoping for during my little winter weekend getaway.
Very nice cabin with great heating. Loved our stay and would book again.
This is a cozy cabin on the outskirts of Grand Lake, CO. The cabin has limited square footage but we were able to move around freely along with our dogs. We enjoyed staying warm with the gas fireplace and base baseboard floor heaters as the weather was cold and snowy. The kitchen was stocked with cookware which allowed for cooking but the cabin is also close to downtown Grand Lake if you want to stroll by the shops, eat at local restaurants, or explore the water front. I recommend getting a pie from Showboat's Drive by Pie in Granby as it was delicious! The bathroom/shower are indeed small but it had hot water and good water pressure. Something to be aware of is the front lock box. We arrived at the cabin for check-in after sunset and when approached the door/porch area there was no lighting and when we punched in the key code to open the lock box the key fell from of the box down between the crack in the porch floor boards. We couldn't reach our hand through the floor boards on the porch to get the key so we had to spend time fishing the key out of the crack with a tool from our vehicle (and it was cold outside) so as a precautionary note make sure you're careful when opening the lock box! Overall, it was a lovely winter vacation!
