Remote Cabin w/ Fire Pit: 3 Miles to Stowe Mtn!

Everything was in good condition when we arrived, we love staying at this location, so easy with our dog.

ICE PRISON WASTE OF MONEY2/10We booked this property for a ski trip and paid a premium for mountain access. Instead, we were trapped by a steep, icy gravel driveway that should never be rented in winter without proper maintenance.The driveway already had 2 inches of solid ice before we arrived. After a few inches of snow, our 4x4 SUV with new tires could not get out. This was reported to the owner Saturday morning, who said a plow would come. It never did. We spent 2–3 hours shoveling and chipping ice by hand just to escape and missed most of a paid ski day.Conditions worsened after freezing rain Sunday night. By Monday morning, we were completely stuck again. Calls for help went unanswered, and we ultimately had to contact local authorities because we were trapped with no guidance. Only then was professional maintenance finally dispatched—far too late.The owner later admitted this happens multiple times each season, which makes the lack of routine plowing and sanding even more concerning. This entire situation was preventable with basic winter maintenance expected of short-term rentals in Stowe.We lost ski time, money, physical energy, and peace of mind—and were placed in a dangerous, negligent situation.The house itself may be fine, but the lack of winter safety planning makes this property unsuitable for winter stays.Book elsewhere unless you want to risk being stranded on ice.

House had everything we were looking for short ski weekend. Cozy, stocked kitchen, everything worked without complications. We had a lovely time.

We loved this cabin. Great location in great setting in nature. We loved the fire pit near the creek. The inside was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was nice to come back after day hiking. It has a great shower and large jacuzzi tub to soak. Was very private and quiet which is nice in todays fast paced world.

Everything was pretty clean. Check in process was super easy.

What a lovely find this home was... with a comfortable bed, a couch for true veggitating, a beautiful balcony, fire pit for late night chats and the creek right there to take a dip in those warm afternoons - there wasn't anything we felt was missing. All the right touches were left for our pups, with a few toys and bowls, and Stowe is charming as always. There were bathroom essentials and kitchen necessities - everything you could want and it was so clean and the pillows were just so perfectly fluffed. Thanks!

Peaceful woods next to a small river. Our 65 pound rescue loved standing in the river. Short hike to Bingham falls was fantastic.

Great setting, the cabin is a bit dated but quite comfortable. The lighting is interesting.

We had a nice relaxing stay, got to the mountain to ski and enjoyed the house. Our dog had a great time running around and exploring.

Perfect location for a some skiing at Stowe. Delayed check-in but was New Year’s Day so understandable. Overall great experience for a short getaway.

This was perfect for a couple and two dogs. We felt very comfortable and at home. Loved the comfort and charm of the house.

Nice and secluded and fun and cozy. Lot to do walking / driving distance from the cabin. Bill Silva the property manager was also very helpful and a text away when anything was needed.

PROS: The location is wonderful, set off a quiet road just outside of Stowe. Aside from some minor changes to the interior, the listing was very accurate. A cozy fire pit down by the stream was wonderful. Overall, the location was exactly what we were looking for. CONS: Did not appear to be cleaned after previous guests, or at least not fully. Damp laundry was sitting in the washer, and the linens for the main bed hadn't been cleaned. The gas fire pit was out of propane.

Very relaxing four day stay. Used the cabin as a Basecamp to explore the area mountain streams. Very quiet location. Only a short drive into the village of Stowe.

We loved our stay in the cabin in the woods! It was the perfect combination of privacy but being close to restaurants, breweries and hikes!

Property gave us a base to enjoy Mt Mansfield/Stowe area. Owners provided us with a worry free vacation.
