Experience all the comforts of home in this remote cabin nestled in the Ouachita National Forest. Just steps from the cabin’s backdoor is Sugar Creek. Enjoy the creek or relax on the deck while watching your friends and family in the water. Ride through the creeks down the road to Wolf Pen Gap or relax by the fire pit out back. The possibilities are endless. Be sure to bring your off-roading vehicles. This is an experience like no other. A truck is recommended for accessing the property.
If you want a remote cabin, this is it! However, there are a surprising number of people around with all the ATV trails. But they were all respectful of our privacy and very friendly. The property itself is utterly charming! The cabin was extremely neat and clean and is well equipped. For added relaxation, you can sit on the deck and listen to the sounds of the small creek that borders the property. The owners responded very quickly to all of our questions prior to arrival, and even dropped by the evening we arrived to make sure we found everything satisfactory. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway.
This cabin was exactly as expected from the drive to the cabin, access to the Wolf Pen Gap trails, to the available amenities. Vicki was very easy to work with and quick to respond to our needs!
Cabin was immaculate and couldn’t improve on location if you tried. Shallow creek within feet that the kids loved. Close to the trails so a lot to offer.
3 couples and 2 teenage girls stayed at the cabin while we rode Wild Pen Gap trails. We had a wonderful time and cabin was clean and peaceful!
This cabin was perfect for 3 couples. Great location if you’re bringing your ATVs for riding. Cabin is secluded and very clean. Beautiful area. Owners were correct about needing a truck to get in to the location. Rough, but worth it!!! We will definitely be back to ride again.
We were looking for something “remote” and we found it with this one! Beautiful area, nice creek that runs through the property - have to drive through the creek 5 times to get to the cabin (owners aren’t kidding when they say they recommend driving a truck or large suv lol). Wi-Fi was a little spotty, but I was just amazed/impressed they were able to get Wi-Fi out there at all. Accommodations were comfortable for the most part, only exception was that some of the beds were a bit rough. We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed it! I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a location that’s “off the beaten path”. Again, had a great time!
secluded, rugged mountainous territory near wolf pin gap trail. great for those hammerheads, atvs, trailbike heaven. tricky to get to, but i actually rode my harley there! loved it
This property was a fantastic choice for our last minute Labor Day weekend getaway! The cabin was remote and absolutely beautiful, with a creek running behind it full of small fish and crawfish. Our family felt completely at home here with with everything we needed to cook and refresh from our trail riding. The owners were very informative about getting to such a remote location so we felt very prepared to deal with some of the trickier driving paths. 10 out of 10 would recommend and we would love to stay here again.
Me and my family had a awesome vacation, the creek behind the house was awesome and was just a short drive for us to take our buggies on the trails. Thanks for the experience
We had a lot of fun! The only thing is like everywhere! They need rain ! The creeks had a little water where you could sit chairs but it wasn’t deep! We rented an atv so that helped make the trip fun also! Overall a good place to stay just make sure you keep gps map on cause no internet service when you get up into the mountains! Once we found our way it was easy enough tho!
We had a great time. Only issue is that we didn’t realize how remote it was based on the description and you almost have to have a truck or vehicle with high clearance to get in and out due to the road conditions. This is not the owner’s fault but it would have been good to know as I bent my trailer jack getting out of there due to low clearance in some places. The house itself was great and everyone had a good time. Also, we were asked to take our trash with us when we left which I’ve never had to do at any other VRBO. Odd but not a huge issue. Owner was very attentive, friendly and quick to respond and the place was very neat and clean.
Almost total seclusion. Peaceful, quiet, and creek right out back. Be sure and bring all you need, town is a good 45 minute to an hour drive away on Forest Service roads.
