This yurt was perfect. Visited as we were attending the F1 race in Austin. Saved a lot of time with traffic to and from the circuit by staying on this side of COTA. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
This is a great place to get away. The property and the area are fun and there is a lot to do. My only advice is that if you're a pet owner, ride this one without them as the policies with the yurt make it difficult to settle in. Other than that, great place!
Things came up and couldn’t make it, asked about moving my dates but the only solution offered was a small discount on a Monday and Tuesday. Make sure to ask about Pool and hot tub in advance as they cost extra and have very limited hours and are right outside owner’s place offering no privacy
It was wonderful. Beautiful area & the yurt was awesome
We didn't actually get to stay here as we left about 45 minutes after arriving. However, I can tell you it's a new property (as of 2019) and still has that new yurt smell. What's good: - Clean - Well appointed with trendy decor - Cold AC - Strong wifi - A few free snacks and coffee/tea What's not so good: - The pool in the picture is in the owner's backyard and cost money to use. I was given one rate over the phone and a different rate when i got there. So who knows what it will be when you get there. You can only use it between the hours of 4-7. (You know, the hottest part of the day?) - When you arrive there will be lots of additional paperwork you have to sign while standing in front of the owners. Not a fun way to kick off a relaxing vacation. - If you bring dogs, you will have to stay with them at all times, and they can never be off leash. That means if you want to go relax in the hot tub you'll have to bring them with you and tie them to tree. Or if you want to go to the store, you have to take them with you. If you want to go on a long hike in the afternoon and you have dogs accustomed to AC, you'll have to take them. And that is dangerous for most dogs in the TX heat. - The owners live on the property in a house nearby and seem like the type that would probably be overly involved in your stay. So if you're looking for privacy this may not be the place for you. - No stove or cook top., only a community grill and very tiny refrigerator. Definitely bring a cooler if you're staying for more than a couple of days. - During the time we were there we heard semi-automatic gunfire on the adjacent properties...or maybe it was on this property, who knows...it was very loud. My son is a hunter and I've been around guns all my life but this was unsettling and far from relaxing. That said, we had to go home because it was not going to work with our dogs being outside all the time, and they unfortunately did not disclose the lengthy pet policy until we drove up. I noticed they added to their booking page in the last couple of days that you must agree to the pet policy prior to booking. The problem is, where is the pet policy?? Maybe as they work out the kinks, as they seem new to the vacation rental scene, some of the not so goods listed here will work themselves out. Just don't take your pets, and bring your earplugs.
Everything was perfect! The property was clean and beautiful. The owners provide so many nice touches. Cold drinks upon arrival, a welcome smile, and healthy snacks.
I can’t say enough of how much we enjoyed our stay!! It really surpassed my expectations, both Jeanne and Bubba are so sweet and have really thought of everything. The Yurt is very clean and the bathroom is really nice with walk-in shower. They even have trails on the property you can hike on. A fire pit and hot tub area. You really feel like you’re at your personal resort, very well done and we’ll definitely be back!!
