It was our 1 year anniversary and wanting to relax out of Dallas Metro area. It was quiet and the birds/squirrels were fun to watch. Owners of the outpost were helpful and a pleasure to visit with. When I messaged the property owners, they responded quick and were nice. However, the cabin we stayed in smelt a bit funky when we got there like mildew. The bathroom floor was gross sticky in front of the toilet and look around we felt we needed to give a good cleaning before we unpacked. Drove back to marshal for cleaning supplies and got busy and it was delightful. Leak in the fridge ruined the produce we brought but that didn’t stop us from having a relaxing trip. Near state park for a great hike. Will come back and stay in the area again.

We love Jennifer's vacation home. It was clean, comfortable and fully equipped. We unpacked and felt right at home. Located across the street from the water with free use of paddle boots and kanus. Wifi, TV, books and games were also available. Check-in was easy and Jennifer kept asking that we needed anything else. We enjoyed our time and will be back in spring 2026. Thank you Jennifer for the wonderful care, we'll see you again in May...

This is a very quiet and peaceful area on Caddo Lake to enjoy. Loved being able to walk in friendly neighborhood and not worry about safety. There is a cafe with pier you can enjoy a sunset, all within walking distance. The unit is tucked away behind another cabin. Little misleading in photos-thought we would have a large lot. That closeness was not great, but luckily we had quiet neighbors. Some landscape work was needed such as tree limbs trimmed away, grass needed mowing, and trim bushes that were hiding the house numbers. The inside has older furnishings but everything worked just fine. The air conditioner definitely worked and we were extremely comfortable. The view from large sliding doors was peaceful. Had issue with TV but was corrected. Owner Chris came by the second day we were there to make sure everything was working. He apologized for the appearance-but there had been a lot of raining and that certainly slows maintenance. Overall, if you want a place to stay while enjoying peace and quiet on Caddo Lake, this is a good choice.
