Up, up, and ahhhhhway! Perched on a beautiful mountainside, our cute little octagonal piece of heaven takes you to the treetops. Inside you'll be taken to where rustic meets refined and creative meets comfortable.
Enjoy our master bedroom with a queen canopy bed which seems to blend right into the woods that surround it. Our second bedroom has two twin beds which can be converted to a king upon request for no extra fee. Turn on the virtual flames of our little electric space heater and snuggle in for a snooze with the black bears.
Take in panoramic sunrise views with your morning cup of coffee through floor to ceiling windows or grab a book from our little library and chill out on our wraparound porch and listen to the creek close by.
Want to add something a little special to your stay We offer two add on amenities -- both $35 each. The first is access to the washer/dryer in our utility closet under the living space. We provide clothes washing detergent and a laundry basket. The second is our gas log fireplace (available after 10/27/2023). Add a warm, romantic glow to your stay. Upon your request, we will set up the gas log with a standard 20 lb propane tank which delivers about 10 hours of burning with just the flip of a switch.
After a day of taking in the Big Canoe experience, settle in with the family and watch a DVD or VHS tape in our cozy living room or play a board game from our game collection. We hope you will feel relaxed, refreshed, and inspired.
I booked this stay based on previous reviews and the location, and was so entirely impressed. Cabin is in pristine condition and so beautiful. So clean and so comfortable! We loved every minute of it! The owners are great and explained everything to me before we even got there. Their manual is detailed and answers all your questions. I was prepared to get there and have trouble finding the cabin, had no problem at all! Literally step by step directions from owners!! 3 stop signs and your there. A few steps up to the house, not bad at all! The view is amazing and the cabin is nice and warm even on cold winter nights. Literally right down the road from Amicalola Falls and we got to hike the whole mountain! This place is amazing! Communication with owners is superb and timely. I feel if I had any questions they would get back to me immediately— but we had no problems. I would love to come back and stay again and again! Thank you guys so much!!
Was a very nice place to relax and it’s dog friendly!
Quaint & cozy. My husband and I had a very relaxing stay. We were looking for a getaway just to relax and unwind. Job done.
Fun, well-kept round house in central location close to main road in Big Canoe. Kitchen and bathrooms supplied with all basics. Responsive and prepared owners. Potential guests should be aware of (-20-30) steps to climb up hill and into the house. We would defintely stay again for weekend or week-long trip.
We had a great time. Cabin was clean and we had everything we needed.
Great stay,
We had a fantastic time at Refined Rustic! The beds are super comfortable and the unit is just minutes from the main resort amenities. Owners Linda and David were super helpful in getting us squared away!
Cabin was nice and had all that you would need. The park was close by for the dogs to take walks and kids to play. Loved the trails and amenities Big Canoe had to offer.
This is a great, cozy cabin. The views are beautiful and it’s conveniently close to the swim club, ball field, and playground. The kitchen is very compact, but adequate, except for the oven. The host shared that it ran a bit hot, so they placed a thermometer inside to help gauge the actual temp. Unfortunately, the temp varied hugely each time we used it - it wasn’t simply running 25 degrees hot each time. So it made it cooking things tricky. We had to watch things and adjust the dial through cooking the same thing. Both beds are comfortable. The host is very communicative, but we would have preferred a bit less communication. Overall, a good experience.
Beautiful and well-designed and decorated tree topper! The owner is very warm and thoughtful. The location is excellent! It's easy to approach and close to anywhere.
We had the most pleasant vacation in this beautiful, clean cabin. Everything was perfect and we hope to return!
We had a great time staying staying here! Lots of things to do there in the community and a short dive away. Would definitely recommend people to stay.
We enjoyed everything about the villa. Two of us had actually stayed in these treehouses 40 years ago. Forgot about the fact that some had more steps than others. We had a heart patient with us but he managed. Lovely time and the leaf color was perfectly timed. The host were very accommodating.
This was a great place to stay. The owners We’re very helpful. Thank you.
This was our 1st vacation to Georgia and and it was beautiful. Loved the fall leaves and colors. The treetop house was delightful. Fire place a huge plus and the porch was amazing. Definitely had a great mental break! Also, best massage I ever had in my life is nail spa next to post office on tate road!
We really had a blast at big Canoe this Father’s Day weekend! Lodging was very clean and nice and cozy. The resort was gorgeous with great food. Thank you!
My husband and I needed a quick getaway for our 20th anniversary. We were looking for a place near Amicalola Falls and the wineries, and found this gem. The cabin was just as pictured. It was an adorable and quiet place. The amenities were endless. Our dogs especially loved the dog park. David and Laura were excellent host. They helped us from booking to check in and check out.
Very nice, quiet place to stay. Exactly what we were looking for.
