Stayed Feb 28, 2026This is an amazingly well-appointed cabin! Seven ladies shared a stay recently for our 7th annual ski and snowboard trip. It was the first time to Big Sky for most of the group and we had a great time. There was plenty of room for us. Everything we needed was readily accessible and any needed instructions were easy to follow. Parking was available in the garage for smaller cars, or in a alotted space for larger ones. We had no problems getting in the cabin, and the ski in/out was super easy for skiers and boarders. Great hot tub on the patio that was set up to feel private. This cabin was more than we could have hoped for and the bar is set very high for our trip next year. On a side note, I was recently injured on a different ski trip and unable to partake in skiing/boarding, but found an amazing resource through The Summit Hotel. Their Cowboy Concierges offer gratuity-based rides to/from the mountain or town for Powder Ridge Cabin guests. This eased my worries about getting around and helped me avoid FOMO. Contact The Summit for details.

Stayed Jan 8, 2026Everything was fantastic. Location and kitchen amenities were great. Would absolutely stay again. One key point that is noteworthy during ski season: if there has been recent snow, you may need 4 wheel drive to get up the hill to the house. The road does not get maintained very well.

Stayed Mar 19, 2025We had a very nice time skiing at Big Sky and staying at Red Cloud Cabin. The cabin was comfortable and outfitted well. While the beds were comfortable, we all think we would have slept better if the pillows had been more supportive. We received a lot of snow during our stay and our unit was lacking a snow shovel. The steps getting into and out of the cabin were a bit treacherous and we would have liked a shovel to help mitigate that situation. While we had an abundance of snow during our stay, the cabin is not the easiest ski in/ski out. You had to hike up a large snowbank with your equipment to get to the run that led you down to the lift. It would be ideal if there was some sort of steps or path maintained by the association to make this access easier. Returning to the cabin from the mountain is also not easy. While there is signage to White Otter access, it is not clearly marked and can be easily missed which then makes for a very long trek back to cabin. Clear written direction in the unit on how to return to cabin from various areas on the mountain, would be helpful. We were four experienced adult skiers. We did not think this would be a good location for families with young children who were just learning to ski. The return to the cabin would require a lot of poling, or dragging, and would be challenging for both the kid and parent!

Stayed Feb 22, 2025Great visit. Awesome ski out! Great way to explore Big Sky for our first trip. Bring groceries in. After a long day of skiing you just want to hunker down rather than drive to restaurants in the mountain village!
