This recently renovated A-Frame is situated on 2 acres of forested land, surrounded by aspen and pine trees, offering a serene mountain retreat. You can relax and unwind while soaking in a private hot tub, warming up by a wood-burning stove, or enjoying an outdoor fire pit. Nearby towns are Divide, Florissant, and Woodland Park. The cabin is a 45-minute drive from Colorado Springs, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Breckenridge for skiing, and 2 hours from Denver International Airport (DIA).

The space
Nestled in the serene wilderness of Divide, Colorado, this charming A-frame cabin offers an idyllic escape into nature. Surrounded by towering pine trees, the cabin exudes rustic charm while providing modern amenities for a comfortable and unforgettable retreat.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by the warm embrace of a wood fireplace, stocked with seasoned logs to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The crackling fire provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation after a day of exploring the nearby trails or skiing in the winter months. The fully stocked kitchen beckons culinary enthusiasts to try their hand at creating delicious meals, with ample counter space and a newly remodeled space.

The cabin's thoughtful design includes a lofted bedroom with a king bed with a new Helix Mattress, offering a snug and private space for a restful night's sleep. Two pull-out couches in the living area provide additional sleeping arrangements, making the cabin suitable for a small family or a group of friends. Large windows throughout the cabin frame picturesque views of the surrounding woods, bringing the outdoors in and allowing natural light to flood the space.

Step outside onto the expansive deck, where a hot tub awaits, promising relaxation under the starlit Colorado sky. Whether it's soaking in the tub or sipping morning coffee surrounded by nature, the deck serves as an extension of the living space, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings fully.

This A-frame cabin in Divide, Colorado, is not just a vacation rental; it's a haven for those seeking a tranquil retreat where the simplicity of nature harmonizes with the comforts of modern living. Whether you're curled up by the fireplace, soaking in the hot tub, or stargazing from the deck, every moment spent in this cabin is a moment of serenity and connection with the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Guest access
You’ll have access to the surrounding woods to explore and gather wood (for the indoor wood-burning stove). The surrounding neighborhood has three ponds and a lake that you can walk around. Fishing and water activities are only available to property owners at this time.
Other things to note
Important (Please Read)!

We do NOT accept check-in or check-out on holidays.

Absolutely no open fires are allowed. The area's risk of wildfire is too high. The gas firepit out front is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity.

Pets
We will allow pets who qualify. At this time we only host dogs. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your dogs qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pets. When we have our pup there he sleeps in the lower level.

The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood bumpy!

There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin.

We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur, but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms, including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy.

The spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous).

This house is in a neighborhood. While it feels secluded from the front porch, our back-door neighbors are visible from the side and back of the house.

The cabin was even better than the pictures. Everything from the hottub to the fire place, it was immaculate. Played connect 4 and checkers, and if you're there with your spouse, theres a little book of questions that let us get to know each other deeper. The record player works lovely, and the guitar was in tune. You will love your stay here. One thing to note is that the celings are valted, and if your taller youll need to hunch over a little when climbing the spiral stairs.10/10 ill be staying here again!

Honesty, one of the best vacation rentals I've stayed at. Everything matched photos and the description on the listing. Beyond that, there's lots of little personal touches that clearly show thought put into it. Would highly recommend a stay here and we'll likely be back in the future.

The house was clean and inviting. It was quiet and relaxing with just nature to listen too. The hot tub was a wonderful night routine.

We recently spent the weekend at this hidden gem of an A-frame to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn't have asked for a better destination! Between the woodfire furnace, the surrounding forest and walking trails, and of course the outdoor jacuzzi, this rustic cabin exceeded our expectations and made us feel cozy at home. We definitely intend on staying at this A-frame again!
