The Adirondack Mountains offer one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. year round. Auskerada is located in the Adirondacks, and offers a great vantage point for exploring all of what upper New York state has to offer. Auskerada (Aus-ker-a-da), meaning 'the stream of many fishes,' is one of several Mohawk Indian names for the East Canada Creek. Auskerada provides a private and comfortable place to settle in, with a natural stone, wood-burning fireplace and modern amenities, including wireless internet, digital cable, and free statewide long distance.
The cabin has rustic charm that only a cabin can offer. Beautifully decorated with original Adirondack style pieces by the owner, Auskerada offers 3 bedrooms, and sleeps 4. A great lodge for a romantic weekend getaway or a top quality vacation week for you and your family. Relax in our year-round comfortable setting.
Our guests reviews certainly speak for themselves. Using words as 'AMAZING', 'CLEAN', 'PEACEFUL', 'PRIVATE', 'BEAUTIFUL', 'QUIET', and 'PERFECT'. We know that all the hard work that we've put into this lodge was well worth it and the response from our guests is the greatest reward.
Our rooms and living spaces are elegant, comfortable, and inviting. Every view out any window reminds you of why you chose this cabin. The grounds are nicely landscaped in the Adirondack style and is perfect any time of year.
The inside is rustic Adirondack charm! Comfortable log beds and bedding with plenty of seating for everyone. Enjoy 'Pine's Peak' our screened in private balcony with only forest views. Our spring fed well offers the most delicious glass of water imaginable. After drinking our water, bottled water tastes funny.
The wood burning stone fireplace and mantle is inviting and harkens back to a simpler time bringing together friends, family, and acquaintances. The coffee is ALWAYS on us! Enjoy a fresh ground cup of coffee any time of the day. Inside you'll find a generous supply of games and puzzles to encourage quality family time. If being outdoors is your 'thing', a hiking trail right at your door goes on for miles or walk down to the lake to fish, relax on the dock, swim, or canoe with the 2 man canoe we provide.
It has to be clean!! Auskerada is a newly renovated 'upper-quality' lodge. We strive to maintain a very clean, and allergy-free environment. Therefore, we do not allow pets. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Also please keep in mind that for the summer we do require a five night minimum. Unfortunately at this time the website does not allow me to determine minimum/maximum night stays.
**NO SMOKING ON THE PREMISES. Unfortunately smoking guests neglect to be considerate when disposing of their butts.
Additional overnight guest are NOT allowed. In the event you add additional guests beyond the maximum capacity allowed you will either be asked to leave and your reservation will be cancelled, OR you will be required to pay additional $25 per night per guest and will be strictly enforced depending on the situation.
The perfect getaway for any season! From the soft towels and pre-lit candles to the fireplace and hot tub, we’ll be back for sure!
Clean and very tastefully decorated. The host was accomodating and personally involved. I would definitely recommend this property to others. We stayed during the beautiful fall season so I cannot comment on the lake access but hiking, relaxing, comfortable beds and a wood buring fireplace set it above and beyond.
My wife and I had a wonderful time at Auskerada. The ambience was set when we first walked in the door with a lit candle, music and a number of small lamps on. It was gorgeously cozy. The cabin was thoroughly and thoughtfully decorated in the Adirondack style. This complete immersion was exactly what we were looking for. With the wood burning fireplace, hot tub, multiple cozy areas for reading and overall design of the cabin, we are looking forward to returning to this Adirondack oasis.
My husband and I were able to get away for a couple days and i am so glad we picked this place! Chris was extremely responsive, the house was clean and the decor is amazing. We call it old small town USA! Although it rained our whole stay, we were able to enjoy the hot tub and the screened in porch upstairs! We will definitely be returning!
So cozy and comfortable. We loved the screened hot tub porch. 2nd fl. screened in porch set up as a bedroom was akin to sleeping in a treehouse. Xcellent stay!
One of the most cozy and relaxed vacations I've ever been on. We were HUGE fans of the hot tub, wood burning fireplace, and the screened in, upstairs bedroom!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cabin. Everything was perfect. The cabin is very well maintained, nicely decorated and so wonderfully secluded. My wife loved the screened-in area of the porch where the hot tub is. We also enjoyed the large front porch and comfortable rocking chairs. The fireplace was great - we burned a lot of wood as it was somewhat cool at night. Grilled a nice T-bone on the grill out back one night. Bedding was very comfortable. Thanks so much and we will definitely be returning soon!
A beautiful log cabin in the woods. Very private, and clean. Exactly as advertised. Comfortable and relaxing.
Everything you would want in a rustic cabin AND THEN SOME. Nicely appointed with so many wonderful touches in decor and hospitality. Very clean and comfortable. Warm and cozy. Hot tub to die for. A wonderful time had by all.
It was just what we wanted…a quite, cozy little cabin in the snow! Very clean!
The cabin was immaculate, and beautifully decorated. It had everything our group of Mom friends needed for a weekend break from reality, including the hot tub!
This is the first time I ever rented a cabin off of Vrbo and I could not have been happier with the whole process it was super easy. This cabin was perfect in every way and was exactly what we needed for a nice long weekend getaway. The host Chris was great and helped me out with a few questions I did have along the way. If you are looking at the pictures and descriptions of this cabin do not over think it just book it you will not be disappointed.
The cabin is beautiful, with all the amenities. We had a wonderful time. Explored the surrounding areas, dinners, The Pleasant Inn restaurant was my favorite, enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace evenings! I can't wait to go back in the summer time. Highly recommend this lovely cabin. CJ.
Nice place for hiking. Loved the spa and the screened porch. We will definitely come back to this cottage!
Love the property - so much detail, everything we needed! Communication could not have been better and we’ll definitely be back!
No detail too small, this little gem had everything to make our stay wonderful, wish we could have stayed longer. Chris was great at communicating with me as well as came to help set up the TV for us. I would highly recommend this place. Boat rentals at Peck lake was very reasonable and enjoyed a day on Peck lake. Did a few hikes, recommend the hike at 9 Point Lake, bout a half mile (mostly up) to great little swimming spot in the woods? Enjoyed the hot tub and screened in porch upstairs too! This cabin is a must rent! Thank you for sharing Chris!
The cabin really immerses you in that Adirondack cabin feel that you thought you would only ever get to experience from looking at a magazine. Owner has clearly gone to a lot of effort to create that experience.
The cabin is decorated with the rustic country theme. There is a nice hot tub for soaking, a cute little fire pit for night time enjoyment, sit and have a glass of wine while listening to the crackle of the fire and nearby night sounds. There is a trail nearby next to cabin and there are others who frequent it as well as trucks. Can be seen from the back deck. But I don't think they have a view to see you. There is also a trail few roads down, that take you to the dock. It is a little tretrous walking down to the lake, especially if you are older. If you do rent a boat nearby, the owner of the boat rental may allow you to keep the boat at the dock. I'm assuming your credit must be in check. It's pretty quiet up there, outside of fellow neighbors cuttiing and weekwacking their lawns. Folks are are so friendly and we had the pleasure of meeting a few of them and got some history of the area. We enjoyed ourselves on the lake and caught a few fish. We rented a boat and where able to go to both lakes. Great experience.
Owner was extremely receptive to my questions. Helped us whenever needed. Quiet setting
