Grand Lake, Colorado
Must see! This adorable, renovated 1940s 2-bedroom cabin is located within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake, and RMNP.
This 1940's cabin is loaded with historic character and located on a peaceful, large lot within Grand Lake village. "Adorable and cozy" are terms used to describe this authentic village cabin. This charming cabin has a queen-size bed and a sink vanity in one bedroom, a separate nice bathroom with shower, washer/dryer, and twin beds and a TV/VCR in the second bedroom, separate living and kitchen areas, bath, and gas fireplace. Microwave and dishwasher available. Grill, sitting area, and firepit located outside. Dog run available at back of property so your furry friends can enjoy the outside weather while you hike in the Park. Use the coffee-maker in the morning, or wander downtown to one of the local lake-side coffee shops. Perhaps just lounge in the outside seating area and watch for wildlife to wander through the area. **(Please note that the mountains are a host to MANY types of wildlife. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, unwanted wildlife such as chipmunks or mice can sometimes find their way into mountain cabins. If you are uncomfortable with this possibility, this vacation choice may not be the best for you.) This cabin's charm, quiet environment, and walking-distance proximity to town, the lake, and the Rocky Mountain National Park trailheads make it an easy choice for a vacation stay.
This cabin is held to a higher safety standard than cabins located outside the village. It is inspected annually by the Grand Lake fire department.

We loved our stay. At the east wnd of the road theres also a perfect hill for the kids to sled. Nice restaurants all around within walking distance. Everything was clean and worked properly. Had plenty to accomade us the 5 days. Brought our dog which was a huge plus.
Very cute little cabin. Nice and clean. Short walk to main street in Grand Lake. There is only 1 tv in this cabin.
A very convenient location gave us walking distance to trails, stores, restaurants and gorgeous views of this beautiful area.
We really enjoyed the small cabin. It was perfect for us and our pup. We were close enough to walk into town in the morning for coffee and a short drive to get to the RMNP.
This is a small, cute house. That wasn’t the problem - two problems, one small and one huge. The small one - you can’t enter through the front door. You have to go around the back. Second, there is MICE POOP all over the place! And, we saw a MOUSE!! Of course when we saw this, we immediately left the property. We reached out to the host to ask for a full refund, given how unsafe that is, we had to leave early, and had to find an expensive place to stay before we went home. It was a total mess and now I get to be terrified of illness for the next month. There are plenty of other places to stay. Additionally, the host is now claiming there isn’t any mouse poop. Luckily I took photos (and texted the host said photos, so very odd).
This cabin was a good home base for us as we explored the area. Quick easy drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake downtown, and more. Things to note that we didn't love: had a pet odor in the entryway and kitchen area, and is NOT toddler friendly (outlets, curtain strings, lots of small loose items, etc). Would be fine for little bit older kids though.
The cabin would be a great getaway for two to four people. It is comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace. The cabin was decorated with a fun cabin theme. Nice art! Had plenty of towels, etc. Love having the washing machine. Unfortunately we had to deal with a bad smell coming from under the crawl space of the cabin. Apparently a critter died under there. We were able to get ahold of the owner and she was able to get someone to come while we were out hiking the next morning to take care of the problem. The smell was still pretty strong in the front area of the house. Hopefully it will dissipate soon! This was something that could happen in a cabin setting and it wan’t anyone’s fault. Rebecca offered to by us dinner but we just wanted to let her know so she could take care of it. We both thought the enclosed yard could use some major clean up after the winter. It would be nice for families during the summer with a little clean up.
Nice little getaway cabin for the family. Features a small kitchen, living room, small dining area, a bedroom with 2 single beds, and another bedroom with a queen size bed. It has a small stacked washer & dryer for your use. Owner even included shampoo, lotion, laundry soap if you forgot it. She has extra stuff for you to pick up pet droppings if you forgot that as well. There’s a nice enclosure for the dog out back. Very nice. We will be back.
My girlfriend and I LOVED the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had more time to explore. We will definitely be coming back to this cabin in the summer. Thank you so much!
Perfect spot for family of 4. Close to RMNP and town. Fire pit and picnic table were nice to have out back. 30 minutes to hot springs and Fraser. Perfect stay!
Very nice, comfortable, clean, walkable to shops and water
This is the 2nd year in a row we stayed during Labor Day weekend. Great location, good family fun.
It was a nice and cozy place. Enjoyed our visit.
Cozy and comfortable Fenced in yard for pets
This is a nice, clean comfortable cabin with all the amenities you will need to explore the area. The bed is comfortable and there are plenty of supplies on hand if you need them. There is plenty to do in and around Grand Lake and this is a great home base to eat and rest up during your adventure. The cabin is on a quiet side street and has reliable wi-fi. There is a stackable washer/dryer if you need it. Would stay here again, enjoyed the cabin.
Peaceful quiet and comfortable. So easy to communicate with owner. Very well stocked and super comfortable.
The cabin and property were great. If I had anything remotely negative to say, I would say that I was surprised by the amount of traffic on the nearby road. I would also say that the space outback is not fully enclosed for pets. It worked out fine, but it would be nice to know that ahead of time.
Located walking distance from Grand Lake , this spot is perfect for a mountain getaway. Beautiful scenery and the host is very helpful and responsive.
Our whole family absolutely LOVED staying here. The location was amazing with being walking distance to the boardwalk and right outside RMNP. The house itself was great, perfect for our needs and the owner was very responsive. I would definitely recommend to other and would absolutely stay here again for our next grand lake visit.
Cabin is darling and has all amenities Location to downtown is 2 blocks, easy walking Host was easily accessible entire time Loved everything about it!
