You can't escape the cabin feel. Cabins & the property are very clean. Pest control comes every month & does a great job with most all pests. There is internet/wi-fi but no cable or tv. Cell service can be weak but is available & can be very good depending on your carrier. The property truly is in a perfect location for anything you may want to experience in the surrounding areas. There is adventure (hiking, white water rafting, mountain biking), & incredible site seeing all within an hour or less. There are also multiple summer camps for kids in the area if mom/dad want to stay close for their own getaway. If you just want to slow down & recover, staying on the property is one of the most tranquil experiences ever. Quiet, majestic, easy to rest & relax. Great environment for snuggling up with a good book, or maybe even writing one of your own! There are 3 vineyards (Burntshirt Vineyard, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyard, Point Lookout Vineyards) & several great golf courses (Including night golf) within 5-10 miles of the property.
In the summer months the creek is very refreshing & clean to enjoy but please stay within our property lines & don't wander across the creek or onto any neighbors land. This is all private land & there is no trespassing. Signs are typically posted. Neighboring properties are all private. Our property is very quiet, secluded, & in a great area. We have a newly paved driveway w/a basketball goal for the whole family to enjoy. There are outside chairs to put around the fire ring, a tire swing, hammock, barbecue grill, & plenty of space to enjoy!
it was a very quiet and peaceful get away! Cabin was adorable!
Perfect location if you are just looking to unwind. Grandchild loved the creek that runs behind house.
The house itself is cute, quaint and reminds me of my grandparents. The creek the runs right by the house was a source of entertainment for the kids for hours. Thanks for the stay.
nice spot
Just what I was looking for, lot's of nature to view & the sound of a babbling brook(stream)
The place was great! Rustic, but had what we needed to relax and enjoy the creek. It was freezing on our weekend, but our kids had a blast!
Everything about this place is very good, we enjoyed our stay. The reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars is the cabin is just one big room with kitchen on the side and beds. After children are put to bed you have to go to bed as well. This was just fine for us, but others may find this an inconvenience.
This was the third time my boyfriend and I have rented this cabin and we absolutely love it! It’s very peaceful and relaxing. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the fireplace and creek. Waking up hearing the creek and neighboring cows. Can’t wait to go back again!
Very nice cabin and very well prepared for your stay. The only issue we has is that there was no water in the cabin due to frozen pipes. We didnt know this until we had already arrived after driving 15 hrs. We stayed 4 days and dint have water for any. Luckily the cabin across the driveway had water but we had to walk to it and back daily with all the kids for showers and needs. This was difficult and often cold. We also had to share the bathroom with the people in the cabin next door bc they also had frozen pipes. Had i known this i probably would have spent the same money and rented one with at least a private shower. Nothing offered in return for the issues and had to try doing dishes with the water from a bucket in the creek before leaving. I think we should have gotten some kind of discount for the whole situation considering how many days it was and with kids. But overall the cabin itself was nice and ut a cute spot.
Was an awesome little cabin located directly on a creek. When you open the windows you can hear the water trickling all day and all night. We saw lots of turkeys and deer. Not too far from the airport or Chimney Rock and batcave.
This property is very peaceful. Good place to disconnect and just relax. Out off the deck is a little creek and beautiful view of the mountain. The host is very nice and friendly. Would stay again if we go back up that way.
Great location with nice view. Love the privacy. Keep in mind it's more of a studio cabin but has everything you need. Would definitely stay again
Unable to go so my daughter and her husband went instead. My daughter was so disappointed at arrival that they left. Cabin was dated. Old toilet was under deck. The first lamp she turned on didn’t work. They did not feel comfortable there and left. Only bad experience ever in 8 years of using Vrbo.
It was a perfect little getaway spot. Peaceful with sounds of creek to relax you. The only issue was not all the light worked. We would definitely choose this place again.
We had a great time! The creek being right outside was a blast for our kids!
I loved having the creek right next to the cabin. Great place to get away.
My husband and I stayed at the cabin for our anniversary. The cabin is perfect, clean and well maintained. If you need to disconnect and reconnect with what is really important, this is the place. I suggest leaving your connected devices at home and enjoy time with loved ones or friends and nature. The creek is right outside your door, every morning during our stay this little turkey gobbles and runs in front of a line of cows, like he’s leading them to pasture! Thank you for sharing this little cabin with us, we will be back!
