Prescott, Arizona
Our little cabin reminded me of summer camp in the forests of Wisconsin. The cabin was built around 1930. It has been upgraded over the years. The sleeping porch is now the eating porch, with large double pain windows. We have left a few of the original divided-glass windows in other rooms, just to maintain the old time charm. The kitchen is small, with microwave, toaster oven, blender, stove/oven, refrigerator and coffee maker, of course. Recently the kitchen got a new coat of paint and change of color. We added a deck on the back the cabin. We provide starter TP and paper towels. Guests have commented that the California king bed is very comfortable. The cabin is a cozy place for two people who want to relax in a quiet (pine tree) neighborhood, hike or bike the many trails around Prescott. Deer pass through the yard almost year round. We get some snow in the winter.
The cabin is one mile from down town restaurants, shopping, and our famous Whiskey Row. Prescott is centrally located in Yavapai County. A photographer’s paradise with an average 360 days of sun and brilliant blue skies.
Pets must be approved by landlord.
Fantastic
Cute, comfy, quaint & cozy Very quiet & private Everything you need is provided Variety of wildlife Hosts are available if there is any problem Gerry & Kurt, very nice people
close to grocery store, clean, great internet, everything you need.
Great stay, comfortable and quaint. There is a Doe who frequented the property for breakfast. The neighborhood is quiet and the other residents are friendly. close enough to downtown and yet feels like its pretty remote. Inhouse compact laudry was really nice to have.
We found the place charming. Loved the deer at our door and the smell of the tall pines. It was so relaxing to sit on the back decking. The owners Gerry and Kurt couldn't have been nicer.
Stayed here during my relocation process and loved it. It sits in the pines, close to town, park down the street, friendly property owners and neighbors. The cottage was just the right size and had a king size bed.
I enjoyed my time so very much. The house was perfect for my dog Bentley and myself. So quiet except for, hearing lots of birds. Landlords were great. I defiantly recommend this rental
Perfect get-a-way spot. QUIET and COZY and if you like dark skies at night this has it all stars galore . Totally enjoyed our stay. Gerry and Kurt are great.
Great location: out in the woods providing solace and serenity, but also incredibly close to downtown and amenities. Often I would walk to Frys for groceries and grab a Starbucks. The bed is incredibly comfortable; slept so well in the cabin. Hot water does not last much longer than 2-3 minutes in the shower. Gerry was such a great host-super quick with communication back and forth and if I ever had any questions, concerns things were taken care of immediately. There is internet, BUT you can not stream anything so no Netflix, hulu unless you have unlimited data and watch on your phone :) . I wasn't able to use my computer and do any work/research from home while there. They do have cable and a radio in the cabin. I stayed in the cabin for a month and I wish I could have stayed longer-really enjoyed my time there! Gave me some much needed peace and rest.
My husband, our poodle Lily ,Maltese cross Madigan & I spent the month of December 2017 at this wonderful cottage. Gerry met us and immediately helped us feel at home. She even had a little Christmas tree and other tasteful decorations to make it feel more homey . The online overview says it all and we had everything we needed to settle in . Lots of trails for hiking and biking within a short drive and wonderful walks within the neighbourhood itself. Walked to historic downtown several times, only 30 min. Great place to be over Christmas! This was our first trip to Prescott- friendly people, loved it and hope to return again soon ! Thanks very much to our hosts Gerry & Kurt. Kelly & Peter
