Private Spring Getaway! Pet Friendly!

Great place to visit as most other comments stated driveway was steep but we had no issues, we have 4wd vehicles would recommend this. It was quiet and clean and very nice to enjoy the cooler weather of the mountains. Will stay again

We loved it here! Stayed overnight for a ski weekend. The house was adorable! Everything we needed was here, so clean and spacious. Will definitely stay again.

The cabin was very rustic looking but very modern. It was beautiful and we had an awesome time here

Great gateway from the daily stress of work and the routine of life.

We had a great time! The cabin is awesome! It is well stocked with anything that you will need during your stay. The driveway is tricky. We had a 4 wheel drive so didn’t have a problem. If it is dry any vehicle can make it up. When it rained my son’s front wheel drive would not make it up. This is a mountain cabin so a steep driveway is not surprising. A little maintenance will help. We will keep this property in mind if we come up to this area again. Thanks for a special trip!!

The cabin was nice and well equipped but the driveway was impossible to get up. Not sure we would have been able to get up the driveway in better circumstances, but it was a complete sheet of ice and one person in our party got stuck halfway up in a jeep. We had to park at the bottom on a sheet of ice, which someone slipped on, and bring our stuff up the 5 mins hike it took (I timed it) with our luggage. This should have been communicated before our stay, but it was not.

Everything was as promised.

When we arrived, the cabin was still dirty it had not been cleaned. We had to clean bathrooms and wash towels and bed linens when we got there so we would have something to sleep on that night. I contacted the host and in about an hour later someone was there to clean but we had done everything. All she had to do was basically and make up the beds. So it was very inconvenient when we first started and then we had to continually wash towels to have enough to use.

First I’ll address the driveway.It’s steep, just as described in the description as well as comments. Our 4WD vehicle went up just fine but our other vehicle did not. It stayed safely parked at the bottom of the driveway. Some could consider that an inconvenience however definitely not a ruined vacation, especially considering all this beautiful property has to offer. This cabin is fully stocked! Plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, seating, toiletries, kitchen appliances/dishes, grill with propane!, indoor/outdoor games.. this place has everything you need for your family of all ages! There’s plenty of space, the mattresses are COMFY! The cabin is CLEAN. Especially for being a pet-friendly accommodation, you would never know! It’s also perfectly located. Such a beautiful drive to Banner Elk, Boone, Beech Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain where we frequented.We were also impressed by how well the host responded to us throughout the whole booking to checkout process. This place is 10/10 for many reasons. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! Had a great stay at this very adorable cabin! It’s clean and so well decorated! Had such a quiet and peaceful stay! Only problem we had was the driveway. They had rock recently put down and my car couldn’t get up the driveway. Other than that it was an awesome cabin and we will definitely stay again!

We were unable to drive up the driveway to access the cabin. It is very long and very steep and has slate that is improperly packed. I have videos of my tires spinning out. I was traveling with my handicapped mother so even walking up the driveway was not an option... Although it would have been long and difficult to get up the driveway by carrying our stuff anyway. I immediately messaged the host and still haven't anstill haven't heard back. It's been a nightmare.ovelater.

This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. A perfect place to get away from away from city noise and enjoy mother nature. It was clean and quiet. The only issue i had was the gravel road that led up to the cabin, my car was unable to make it up. Definitely recommend going with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Other than that this cabin was amazing!

Cabin its spectacular. 360 amazing views. Driveway needs to be compacted correctly it’s not accessible without a fwd. Sheets and utensils were not clean, no trash bags were left for our stay. Great area amazing views we enjoyed a lot our stay. 100% recommended

The place was nice inside but we would suggest pics of the road entrance to the home, because if you drive a sedan you can't go up a hill like that unless you have something a with a powerful engibe

It was great!

The cabin was very cozy and in a good location. Located about 15-20 minute from downtown Boone. Good privacy. Convenient to Beech Mountain, Elk Knob State Park, and Grandfather Mnt.

Being from the deep south makes a place like this feel surreal. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

This cabin is beautiful. Clean and spacious remote and quit. My whole family loved staying here and John is a great host. 10/10 definitely will coming back again.

Loved the cabin, exactly what was described. Very clean and well stocked with everything you need. If you want to relax and watch the deer, you will love this place!

Had a good time

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was very clean and well appointed. My daughter appreciated all the toys in the kids room and we all enjoyed relaxing on the porch. The driveway was a bit daunting but we got up and down it with no issues in our SUV- my daughter thought it was a very fun “ride”

Sorry, I never get a signal while there to let you know how great your cabin was. It was like home away from home. Very clean and cozy. Weather was nice besides the rain showers we had. The driveway got us a couple of times but we made it up. The hair dyer was missing but I bought one and left it for other guest. The grill wasn’t clean but we used grilled sheets. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks so much for making our stay welcoming!!

We had a great experience, the cabin was equipped with everything we needed and more. I loved the back porch it is all closed it and nice with a swing. The rooms were big and had enough room for my family.
