The Lakeside West Cabin (3 bedroom/3.5 bath, sleeps 8) is a stunning luxury cabin overlooking Tumalo Lake surrounded by ponderosa pine trees, located just 12 miles west of downtown Bend. Situated on a unique 640-acre private parcel of forested land surrounded on all sides by the Deschutes National Forest, there are limitless trails for hiking, biking, x-country skiing and snowshoeing and the private lake offers free fishing, kayaking, canoeing and SUP. There is a wonderful 2-mile hike around the lake, a lakeside deck with chairs and a picnic table, a swimming dock and a lakeside fire pit (not allowed during fire season).

The Lakeside West Cabin is one of five luxury vacation rental homes at Tumalo Lake Lodge (tumalolakelodge) nestled among pine trees on the water's edge of Tumalo Lake. The Lakeside West Cabin is a high-end masterpiece of craftsmanship, constructed of huge Douglas Fir beams, cedar siding and shakes. Huge windows in every room provide a tree-house sensation with amazing views of nature in every direction. The large wrap-around deck and comfortable Adirondack chairs and rockers allow for relaxing in the fresh air while taking in the gorgeous natural surroundings and views.

The beautiful furnishings create an ambiance of casual luxury. The cabin's interior features knotty pine wood walls, doors and trim, knotty alder cabinets, and granite counter tops. The first-floor open floor plan includes radiant heated floors and decorative rugs. The living area has a wood-burning stove and huge windows with lake views. The dining area has floor to ceiling windows with views of nature on all sides. The chef’s kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless appliances including a Jenn-Air professional stove. There is a half bath on this floor and a queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom with direct access to the deck.

The second-floor features gorgeous high-pitched wood ceilings, two charming queen bedroom suites with ensuite baths and a second living room area. The upstairs living area has huge windows with commanding views of the lake and a queen sofa bed. Bedrooms feature iron beds with quilts, cozy down comforters and pillows, and high thread count sheets. Each bedroom has amazing views in three directions. The ensuite baths feature either a shower over bathtub, granite counter tops, radiant heated floors, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion amenities and hair dryer.

There are a multitude of activities and amenities right out your door on the Tumalo Lake property. Enjoy hiking (there is a wonderful 2-mile hike around the lake and other longer ones), mountain biking, swimming, boating (complimentary kayaks, canoes, SUPs), fishing (no license required), birding, and playing cornhole and horseshoes. Relax on your private deck in a hammock or at the shared fire pit or lake deck, and stargaze from your private hot tub. While wildlife viewing from your deck, the lake deck or on the lake in your kayak/canoe you may spot ducks, blue heron, osprey, golden eagles, bald eagles as well as great horned owl, pileated woodpecker and others. In winter, snowshoe, sled, x-country ski, cozy up around your wood-burning stove or outside with s'mores at the shared fire pit.

Bend and the surrounding area are world-famous for both its outdoor pursuits and pristine beauty. You can catch an art exhibit, dine at an award-winning restaurant, shop the boutiques, spoil yourself at one of our many spas, trek the legendary Bend Ale Trail, listen to live music or a enjoy a local festival. Bend makes a great spot for family-friendly fun as well, from cool snowshoe tours in some of Bend's snowy forests to watching raptors soar at the High Desert Museum.

The area is a haven for summer and winter activities including river and mountain hiking, biking, golf, river rafting, fly fishing, rock climbing, skiing, and snow shoeing. We enjoyed our stay! Cabin was really nice, clean and had everything we needed. The hike around the lake was beautiful! Tracy is a great host! We would love to come back again and stay longer.

We loved our stay here SO MUCH! We (2 adults, 3 young teens) loved paddling on the lake, sitting on the shady deck watching birds, relaxing in the hot tub, and going on adventures in the area (guided rock climbing at Smith Rocks, floating the river through town, zip-lining at Mt. Bachelor, Big Eddy whitewater rafting, lots of hiking). The beds are big and comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, the house has lots of comfy places to sit, and stayed cool even on 90 degree days.

Beautiful property, beautiful house, lots of supplys. Any issues we had was took care of promptly. Wish we had our own fire pit at the house instead of the community one. There were no fish in the lake. Overall we had a nice relaxing time.

Our family of 6 (4 kids between 7-12) had another amazing trip to Tumalo Lake. This was our 4th year in a row staying on the lake, if that is any indication of how much fun we have and how beautiful it is. The cabins are extremely well kept, clean and super comfortable. We take advantage of the entire property and fish, kayak, swim, and love the hike around the lake. It is also only a 10 minute drive to the beautiful Tumalo Falls. The owners are very friendly, responsive and clearly continue to invest every year in making it an even more magical place. If you need to work, the wifi worked great. The water quality is great from the tap, some of the best tasting water I have ever had.

Our family ranged in age from 5-80 years old! Our kids and grandchildren loved the lake with swimming, paddleboards, canoes, and row boats. The lake is very safe for young kids with shallow water right off the dock. There was also a trail around the lake that my daughters ran and I, at 80, walked around with granddaughter assistance! We were happily surprised by stronger internet service than we expected. No problem checking and sending emails and texts. Best of all, everyone agreed that the cabin was perfect: every bedroom was an en-suite, the kitchen was top-notch, and the view from the windows and the deck was beautiful beyond words!
