Wonderful, relaxing property. Super clean rustic cabin that was perfect. Only issue was empty propane tanks on the gas grill. Only drawback to property, which is not the property owner’s fault is the vehicle junkyard outside the sitting room. May be able to put some sort of fence or shrubbery in place to block that view. We will definitely try to go back soon.
Excellent cabin! Great porch with amazing country views. Beautiful with an awesome kitchen & relaxing, comfortable rooms. . Jana & David were amazing hosts. Loved it! Thank you.
Amazing Cottage, location and views!!!
Scenic property with combination of brush and open pastures making an excellent habitat for deer. Large porch an excellent area to relax and enjoy scenery and wildlife. Convenient access to town. Cabin was modern and comfortable with all essentials provided. Suggest an additional gas grill closer to cabin, and addressing very tight entrance to gated property from highway for safety reasons, especially for pickups and larger vehicles. Overall, an enjoyable stay and would return. Thanks for having us!
Awesome location and close to town. Beautiful home and scenic view. Great for a couples get away.
We came for our 35th wedding anniversary. The home was beyond what we expected. Beautiful home, beautiful views, serene, lots of deer, birds and gorgeous sunsets. Enjoyed sitting on the porch. It’s about a 10 minute drive outside of Fredericksburg. We highly recommend this home. We will be back!!!
My wife and I took a long weekend and celebrated our anniversary in Fredericksburg. We are so glad that we found this gem of a vacation rental. The location was perfect and checked everything we were looking for in a vacation spot. It was close enough to downtown (8-10) minutes on a busy weekend and only 10-5 minutes away from the wineries we visited up and down 290. The best thing was the seclusion and sitting on the back porch enjoying a Hill Country sunset watching deer and humming birds zip around. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you!
Had plans to go to town and eat, drive around and do some sight seeing, instead we picked up a couple of steaks to cook and enjoyed the cabin.
Perfect weekend getaway for my husband's 45th birthday. Easy drive into town and to wineries. Enjoyed the sunsets most of all.
Quaint cabin on the edge of a quiet field.
This was our second stay, it was everything we remembered and more. Spacious, comfortable and peaceful! From a kitchen that has everything you need to a front porch with a view that brings on instant relaxation, it is wonderful- we love this place!
Property is well cared for and clean, evenings on the porch looking at distant hills and wildlife is very relaxing. There is plenty to do in surounding area from shopping to hiking, many good restaurants and places for a drink. My favorite place was a visit to Luckenbach.
We arrived late at night but the directions to get in were easy to follow. What a joy to wake up to the beautiful view! Very private and quiet spot. Lovely.
Great views with wildlife. Calming. Enjoyed rocking on the porch while watching the sun set.
This cabin is a great place to decompress from the hectic city life. I felt relaxed and comfortable during my stay. The view from the back of the house was beautiful and I loved the rocking chairs on the back porch. The small glass room was nice for reading and I enjoyed the living room with the fire. Although small, it was just enough space for me. I truly enjoyed my stay. Thank you
This is a great property experience! The cabin is located about 10 minutes from fredericksburg downtown but has an amazing country feel. The sunrise and sunset are to die for. Bed was comfortable, tv was easy to access, kitchen stocked with adequate utensils, bathroom has extra toiletries, and overall the unit was very clean. Security did not feel like an issue at all, the neighborhood felt very close for being outside the city center, Wifi worked great. A/C and heat worked great—it is a cabin style though which is harder to insulate, so just have realistic expectations for that. We stayed in the winter and had plenty of blankets to use. This property was probably our favorite part of our stay in fredericksburg! We would absolutely come back.
We have stayed at many cabins/cottages in the Fredericksburg area over the past several years. Wild Wing is among the best. We especially liked how the cabin is laid out. The kitchen has a warm and convenient eating area that has wonderful views of the countryside. It is detached from the living area, but the open arched entryway into the living area makes it so that everyone can still visit with one another from both rooms without a kitchen being in the middle of the living room. The large bedroom is very comfortable and the bathroom is one of the best features. We really liked the large shower. The only negative, and it's common in most places where we've stayed, is that the toilet is small and so low to the floor that it is difficult to sit and then to stand. It's especially tough on an old goat like me who has had numerous surgeries. Simple swap-out to an ADA commode would go a long way. The location affords peace and quiet and the rocking chairs on the porch are terrific. We also like how close Wild Wing is to the Pecan Grove eatery. Oh my, the hamburgers are so good and the fries are hand cut, fresh, and hot. We believe anyone would truly enjoy their stay at Wild Wing.
Not sure it could have been better.
If you are looking for a quiet base of operations to visit the Fredericksburg area, this updated cabin should satisfy you. The house itself is nicely maintained and the grounds are decent, with deer roaming nearby. Far enough out of town to feel secluded, but not a long drive to reach a number of inviting sites.
Seeing the deer driving up to the property was really nice. Cabin was clean and comfortable.
The cabin was perfect for our anniversary trip. I’d 100% recommend this cabin to everyone.
We had a wonderful stay. Love the quietness and solitude of the country setting with access to Fredericksburg in a 15 minute drive!
Had another wonderful stay. Everything was perfect with the house. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful Cabin with all the amenities you would need. Beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. If you are looking to get away, this is the right place. And just a short drive into town for dinner and shopping. We will definitely come back!
It was everything we hoped for and more! A beautiful cabin that made it easy to relax and just enjoy the views around it.
