Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a fabulous cabin for a weekend stay. As others and the instructions say, the roads are no joke going up the hill to the cabin. The cabin was good size, even though the bedrooms are a little on the small size. The pool and hot tub were wonderful additions to this little gem. Some items to note, the cabin was very clean on the surface, however when the wind blew hard stuff came down from the rafters. The fridge really needs updated. It's obvious that it is too small for the space, there were missing arms in the fridge, and the ice maker dropped water with the partially frozen cubes. The TVs need some works as well, especially in the living room. It really did not respond to the remote. Even with these items, I would not hesitate to book again. It was an amazing time!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After staying in a cabin a few years back we wanted to experience another smoky mountain stay. The interior of this cabin was great, the amenities were nice and kept us relaxed and content. The location and the drive in, were quite the opposite. Thankfully we drove a jeep with new tires, and 4WD — otherwise I’m not sure if we would’ve made it to the cabin. Once we finally made it to the cabin, got settled in and unpacked groceries— it became clear that the cabin directly below us was under full construction. I know this may be out of their control, but I wish I would have been prepared to be woken up early each morning on my relaxing getaway. Overall, I’m sure this cabin will be right for some people — but we will not be staying in this cabin or general area again.

Loved the pool table and entertainment area downstairs along with the private pool. It was a very classic, vintage cabin. I loved it. Very high in the mountains. Very spacious. Make sure to bring everything you need food wise,and essentials down to tissue for sure. Especially if you're staying over 2 days.Get up early with the sun, enjoy the Jacuzzi during the day.Don't go out after dark..very steep hills and bears come out after dark also. Cabin really close to highway and activities. Walmart 20 mins away along with Publix and tourist sites. Such a wonderful experience. I miss the cabin already. Will definitely rent from elks springs resort again. Thank you.

Reviewer Comments: If I had known the roads leading up to this cabin were this steep, winding, narrow and dangerous I would NOT have rented this cabin. I saw in the reviews after if already booked that the drive was not for the faint of heart, but holy moly this was so scary and not remotely safe. I nearly had a panic attack every time we had to leave or come back. Even backing out of the little driveway was dangerous. You could EASILY slip off the road and crash. Aside from this terrifying aspect that stole my joy, the cabin itself was pretty nice. The pool was fun for the kids and the place is spacious, clean and comfortable. The dishwasher didn't work and the hot tub was a warm tub at best, but it was still a nice place.

The location was rough, getting in with a special needs child was difficult. The chairs as walk in, my blind daughter walked into bc right in the door. The couch was very lumpy and uncomfortable, we couldn’t sit on it comfortably. The tv was slower than the ice age. However the pool, tub, and pool table was great and the cabin itself was clean but it seems they missed the coffee table inside where my toddler found chips and tried to eat them. It was great but it was expensive to not be entirely comfortable and able to relax- we planned to stay in the entire stay but bc of it, we felt like we needed to go do things to get away from a slow tv and uncomfortable couch durint down time.

Maintenance never came on day we called.
