Wanderlust Cabin is located in Nantahala Village Resort. The resort is a small resort with a lodge that has a few rooms and about 20 cabins. This is one of the original cabins from the 50’s. It is more comfortable for a couple (2 people). The cabin is an entire, stand alone cabin with a yard. Not a duplex. The cabin is convenient to everything but just far enough off the road to relax. You can sit & relax in the recessed hot tub that is located on the screened in front porch of thecabin with privacy blinds or sit in the front porch rocking chairs and rock your cares away. If you time it right, you can hear the train whistle as the train travels across the Gorge. If there is a chill in the air or just because when your in the Mts, you also need a campfire, you can build a fire in the fire pit and if you want to cook, you have a charcoal grill outside and a full kitchen inside. There are also plenty of resort amenties to enjoy such as one of the walking trails, take a dip in the pool (Mid May-Sept), play games in the game room, a small gym, the tennis/basketball court. You also have “Tommy’s Paradise” across the street from the Swimming Pool. Tommy’s in an outdoor bar with food. They occasionally have live music. It’s a fun, laid back, hangout. Beside Tommy’s is “The Shoppe”. There you can find snacks and hand dipped ice. (Both are seasonal). If you decide to get out for an adventure, we are a mile or so to whitewater rafting, 3 miles from the Nantahala's Outdoor Center (NOC) where there is kayaking, white water rafting, zip lining, dining options, adult beverages, cornhole or just sit in a chair by the rushing river. If you want to venture out further, you are about 10 miles to the Great Smokey Mt Railroad. Book a train ride in advance and enjoy a rare opportunity to ride the train throught the Smokey Mountains. If you enjoy casino's, Harrah's Cherokee is a 20 minute drive and Harrah's River Valley is a 30 minute drive.. If you are a biker, you are almost right in the middle of all the great motorcycle rides. It makes a great location to start and finish one part of the loop on one day and start and finish another the next day. Motorcycles are welcome in the resort. We ride ours here all the time. When you finish your day, you have a comfy queen size bed to lay down and recharge your batteries for the next day. When its time to rise and shine, there are coffee pods, ground coffee, creamers and sugar to start your day. The bathroom has a tub shower combo and just because we are all busy and sometimes forget to pack things, we have provided shampoo, comditioner, body wash, a hair dryer and make up wipes. We even have 2 TV on carts to move around for your viewing pleasure. The living room TV has Direct TV and the bedroom TV is a smart TV for streaming. The cabin also has its own WIFI. We visit as often as we can and try to have the cabin as comfortable as possible. We love it here and want to share it with you so, you can enjoy it as well. We hope to see you soon!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This cozy little cabin was the perfect location for our 30th wedding anniversary. The hot tub and fire pit were the bling-bling to this gem, which was located near everything, but excluded enough for privacy. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven among the mountains!

This cabin is in a great location and was very clean. We stayed here while visiting Bryson City to go on The Polar Express. The cabin is close to the train station and is also close to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We hiked Tom Branch Falls and Juney Whank Falls. The cabin has a nice hot tub that is very relaxing on cold nights and mornings. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area!!!

We had a little snafu with the door code that’s why I gave 3 stars for check in process. But it was handled quickly by VRBO call center and the owner. The bed was super comfy and the house was very clean. The hot tub was a nice bonus! And the decor was adorable! I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a short getaway!

Came out here to enjoy the area that we had never visited. Our hosts communicated immediately with each question we had, mostly due to the nearby hurricane disaster area and access to the Bryson City area. The cabin was driving the Tail of the Dragon to riding the train in Bryson to ZipLine under the trees. The cabin was immaculate with everything you need from coffee to a hot tub. Now that we have discovered this area AND this cabin we look forward to returning again next year. It was a wonderful stay and our hosts played a major part in that great memory. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Such a cute cottage and had everything we needed . We loved feeling remote but still close to things. Only complaints would be the bed. We felt like the box spring was broke or mattress was just worn in. One side of the bed was falling when we laid on it which made for a little bit of uncomfortable sleeping but we loved the cabin entirely other than this minor inconvenience
