This is an amazing property! Great layout, very clean & well appointed. We can't wait to come back in cooler weather so we can use the outdoor firepit! Very close to Chimney Rock which we visited on the 1-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene. Historical Flat Rock Village is very quaint with unique shops & restaurants. Everything you need is close by & convenient. We highly recommend this property & we will be back!

We loved our stay at Dovetails. The location in Flat Rock was perfect and only 5 minutes from Hendersonville. The setting is peaceful and private, and the cabin is furnished nicely. The layout is perfect with bedrooms on each end with their own outside sitting area and common rooms in the center with a huge deck in the back.

We absolutely loved our two week stay at this cozy cabin. It was everything as described. We loved the layout of two master bedroom suites on each side. The deck and view were our go to for cocktails each night. Owners were great. We will return.

Beautiful cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from everything. Home is comfortable and well appointed with every little detail for a comfortable weekend. Beds are comfortable, wifi is strong and floor plan is perfect for a family or two couples. We loved the cozy fireplace. Hosts were so kind by leaving is a bottle of wine and super responsive over text. Have shared the listing link with a few friends. Already planning our next trip!

Our experience at Dovetails was one for the record books. This is my second stay at Dovetails. Little did anyone know the power of Helene and the extent of the devastation that would result. We had so many plans to visit and exhibits at the Biltmore to see. We had the great pleasure of Dovetails for the first two days of our stay. It was perfect. However, once the threat of the storm became apparent, our host went to work to get all the facts surrounding its power from a friend who was a meteorologist! Our safety was her primary concern and with Dovetails being beautifully surrounded by trees, we discussed the advisability of our seeking safer accommodations to ride out the storm given the high winds that were expected as well as the loss of power. She said we could leave immediately not worrying about cleaning or changing sheets. Again, our safety was her primary concern. So we left in the nick of time for hotel reservations and spent the next several days in the Holiday Inn with no power, no internet or cell but we were safe! We were so blessed compared to the suffering that others endured as we have all seen in the news! We will forever be thankful for the quick action and support of our hosts!! I sincerely hope that Dovetails was not damaged . It is such a wonderful place . So, I will give our stay a perfect ratings and will return because Dovetails is a beautiful place and the area is so wonderful. Our prayers are with all of those who were impacted!

We have been visiting the Flat Rock/Hendersonville area for 30+ years and have stayed in many, many places but this was absolutely one of the best! The cabin is so much more than that. Perfectly laid out for 2 adult couples with 2 primary suites and attached bathrooms for total privacy. The woodsy setting, rustic furnishings and great deck make you feel you are tucked away in the woods but only short drives to terrific restaurants, the Flat Rock Playhouse, cute shops, walking trails and more. Our 2 week stay could not have been better. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the owners are unbelievably responsive and truly committed to making sure our needs were met and that our stay was better than expected. We love that they are lovers of dogs and made our Sadie and Cooper so welcomed. We will stay again if we return with friends.

We enjoyed our stay at Dovetails, and highly recommend it to others as a clean, comfortable cabin in a quaint little mountain town. Its location is wonderful, as you are a short 3 minute drive to the Village of Flat Rock, and also very convenient to Hendersonville & Pisgah Forest, for hiking, tubing, waterfall explorations, and orchards galore! We loved being so close to everything. The hosts are kind and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their guests and the property. Our experience felt warm & personal, and not corporate like some rentals can be. Flat Rock Village is adorable, the ambiance is beautiful, and the restaurants are all delicious! Our only minor disappointment was that we were under the impression that the cabin is “connected” to walking trails to town. It should be noted that the start of the trail is actually at the end of the road behind an apartment complex, and not actually on the property. It was a bit more of a walk than anticipated, so we opted to drive to town instead (mostly because of the rain). Not a big deal, but thought it should be noted. This cabin made it so easy to relax with our family for a peaceful vacation. It rained pretty much the entire 5 nights of our trip, and we still enjoyed our stay so much. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area!

House exceeded expectations in every way

We had an awesome weekend at Dovetails. It was our 39th anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better place to celebrate. A beautiful log home that is private and quiet yet very convenient to the area attractions. We look forward to returning soon!
