Divide, Colorado
Pikes Peak Retreat is a spacious cabin with amazing views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding forest. Nestled on over an acre, the Cabin is the perfect getaway for families and groups looking to explore all of the nearby attractions or relax and connect. High-speed internet, dog-friendly with multiple areas to give everyone their own space. Pikes Peak Retreat is just 45 minutes from Colorado Springs, close to Wolf Sanctuary, Florissant Fossil Beds, Mueller State Park, and of course, Pikes Peak!
Bedrooms
There are 4 bedrooms in the cabin. A main floor bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bath room. Upstairs features two bedrooms - one with a queen and one with a bunkbed with two full beds. Don't miss the secret Kids Cave in the kids room, with their own books, toys and bean bags. Downstairs is another bedroom with a queen.
Bathrooms
There are 3 bathrooms in the cabin - one on each level. The main floor bathroom has a jetted tub (no shower). Downstairs is a shower and upstairs is a tub/shower. Tons of crisp white towels are available for your full stay.
Kitchen
The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pans and basic items to make your stay easy. A coffee pot with filters is available and we do our best to have coffee on hand to ensure those early morning risers are taken care of!
Pets
We do accept pets on the property, however, there is a fee to cover additional cleaning. There is no fence on the property currently and dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Our cabin is on a hill (for the great views!) and there is not a lot of flat space for dogs to run.
The Neighborhood
Guests are welcome to take walks around the lake and ponds in the neighborhood. However, lake access (boating and fishing) and use of the common area/pavilion is only allowed for homeowners and is regularly patrolled.
Groceries
Just 8 minutes away is downtown Divide with a grocery store, two gas stations, and a liquor store. Head another 10 minutes to Woodland Park with a Walmart, City Market and Natural Grocers.
The Area
Divide is 15 minutes from Woodland Park - home to dozens of great restaurants, the Dinosaur Resource Center, and awesome nearby ATV trails. Or, head towards Cripple Creek for a historic town and casinos. Or, toward Florissant with great hiking and the famous fossil beds. Colorado Springs is just 45 minutes away - and features the Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, and so much more.
Getting Here
The cabin is on over an acre of wooded land in the Spring Valley neighborhood - which has gravel roads. The awesome view means we are on the top of a hill - and AWD is highly recommended, especially during winter months.
Stayed here for new years in order to see the fireworks from Pikes Peak! My family and I were not disappointed as the view and location were perfect. Plenty of room for a large family and even better communication from host.
One of the best vacations we have taken. The view is beautiful. The house had everything we needed. Plenty of room for some personal time as well. Stores are close if needed. Lots of things to do in town. Totally recommend the train to the top of pikes peak. Becki was very responsive and helpful and even checked on us after an unexpected amount of snowfall. The deer came right up to us in the driveway and the kids were able to pet them. I cant say enough. AMAZING trip. Thank You!!!
In general, I was happy with most. I wish I would have known that it had no flat area for children or dog. The kitchen cooking items are past their life span and should be replaced. The bottom drawer on the stove is dirty inside with dirty pans and cutting boards that should be thrown away. The stairs going to the top floor are very steep and narrow and should be adjusted in some manner. There should be instructions provided for HVAC panel. We did enjoy the stay but now know what I should be asking before renting next time.
This rental exceeded expectations. The views were beautiful from sunrise to sunset. There is ample space to gather and spread out. There was plenty of everything needed, just bring groceries and clothing. The beds were very comfortable, as well. We walked our dogs throughout the neighborhood and lake several times which was a plus. The only negative was the gravel road leading to neighborhood which hindered ideas of a quick run to an activity. Plan your day accordingly.
Perfect home for our family and friends! Plenty of space to gather inside. The view from the deck is stunning! Becki responded quickly to our messages. We highly recommend!
The cabin had a beautiful view of Pikes Peak. In a quiet area surrounded by trees and wildlife. Kitchen was well equipped and rooms were spacious. The only downside for some people would be the gravel road leading to the cabin. But for us it was worth the drive to stay in such a beautiful cabin and area.
Beautiful home, we are thankful that our family could stay in this beautiful home together. We made memories to last our lifetime.
I was so pleased with this property and the rental process, in so many ways. I'm a Dad who gathers his five sons together once a year for a long Guys Weekend, and this year we decided to meet up somewhere in the Colorado mountains. I scoured Vrbo for attractive properties, and landed on this one. All the features for which I chose Becki and Jeremy's place turned out to be as advertised, and then some. I was provided clear instructions to enter the building using a code, which was a flawless process. The home was super clean. As in, cleaner than my own home. Imagine waking up in the morning, getting a cup of coffee and sitting on the deck with a perfect view of Pike's Peak. There are plenty of windows, so the main living area is very bright. The house is on a remote but well-maintained dirt road, surrounded by mature trees, and the quiet of nature was refreshing. We made good use of the outdoor grill, which was also very clean. During our stay I began to notice little things that show Becki and Jeremy aren't cheap with their guests. Have you even been in a hotel with dud pillows? Here, every pillow in every room was exceptional. Cheap bathroom soap? Nope - Mrs. Meyer's soap, the same that we use in our home. Though I brought shampoo with me I didn't need it - each shower and the bath has it's own wall-mounted supply of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. When it snowed several inches Friday night, Becki texted me Saturday morning to ask if we would like the driveway plowed. I could go on, but hopefully you get the idea. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and highly recommend the house for anyone who is considering a stay in this part of Colorado.
We loved our stay here. The views are amazing. And the property itself was great. It was decorated so nice and the beds were comfy. It’s so spacious. We were glad to see how stocked the kitchen was with pots and things like that. We will stay again.
The house is very homey and calming with a beautiful view!
Definitely enjoyed and loved the stay.
