This is a very spacious cabin with plenty of room to spread out. Before arrival we received great communication about check-in. The address is listed incorrectly on the instructions so that probably needs updating. We were told 946 but the sign and the 911 number at the entrance is 942. The lock code did not work the main gate but we were able to find a second entrance that was already open for us to pull right up to the front door. The place is very welcoming with plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Overall, it is a great place to stay with several added amenities like outside covered fireplace, jacuzzi, game area inside and outside, gazebo by the creek, etc. We were disappointed that the cabin was not decorated for Christmas. Some suggestions to make things better - buy a keurig coffee maker, there was no hair dryer even after asking and verifying with the property manager ahead of time so we had to buy one, have a kitchen sponge or scrubber, have a starter set of wood at both fireplaces so it is dry and ready to burn.
What a beautifully peaceful home. You really feel like you're at a beautiful retreat but just minutes from all the activities you could imagine. A truly wonderful family vacation.
We rented the house for Christmas We rent houses in this area every yr for 8 yrs now and I have to say this was one of the cleanest. All the rooms are good sized with closets and bathrooms in each room downstairs the two rooms upstairs worked out great We had 4 of the grandkids in the room with the 4 beds the other 2 are under 2yrs old so they stayed in paknplays in the parents rooms and there was still plenty of space inside the bedrooms. We cook a lot so typically I bring all my own frying pans cooking utensils etc but we did use a few of the sauce pans but they need to be replaced when nonstick pans get all scratched up it allows cancer causing materials to escape from the pan. I think our biggest complaint is the garbage. This is a 5 bedroom house so obviously there are going to be a lot of people so there were 8 Adults and 6 kids and we go thru a lot of garbage and with only 2 garbage cans that get emptied on Tuesday and Thursday it is completely inadequate for a 5 bedroom house. We all arrived on Friday afternoon and Saturday was Christmas eve and Sunday was Christmas so we have even more garbage with all the gifts being opened and they didn't dump our garbage until Wednesday because it snowed Monday night so it wasn't dumped on Tuesday so we had 2 garbage cans for most of our trip we stayed 7 nights with 5 of those nights with no garbage pickup needless to say we had to make a couple of trips to the dump. Thank goodness we drive a SUV with a cargo holder on the hitch to pile up the garbage to take to the dump. Our only other complaint was it was Christmas and there were absolutely no decorations up this is the first house we ever rented in Georgia that didn't have Christmas decorations up. I contacted the management company to see if they had any decorations and I was told they didn't but I could rent one from their Christmas package. I told them I would bring my own and they told me I had to get permission to bring my own 5 ft tall fake Christmas tree so my 6 grandkids would have a Christmas tree for Santa to leave gifts and told me to call the number provided to ask if I could bring my own tree I called the number talked to a lady who said as long as it was fake it was fine to bring my own then the management co told me I couldn't bring my own I had to pay to rent one from them how greedy I paid over $7500 for a week and then try to make me pay for a fake tree very disappointing
Nice house, upstairs is a little sparse on the furniture, down stairs is fine. We were given the wrong address for the property... address actually ended in 42... were told 46. Unlocked gate via code (traditional pad lock) only to realize other gate had no lock... weird... Listing says 10 minutes to Blue Ridge... maybe by helicopter... a good 20 minute ride either which way we went. They also told us not to use GPS to get there... GPS was spot on taking us there... Air conditioner had a nest thermostat that was set to default to 72 every 2 hours... via YouTube we figured out how to override it... the emergency number folks were no help. You can not see the water from the cabin. It is a nice wooded view... but unless you walk down to the stream it is un seen... no mountain views either... but nice private place with no immediate neighbors for now (looks like a building going up next door) Kitchen was well stocked for a rental. Only a few minor issues they need to tend to... overall we enjoyed the weekend there.
When my family and I arrived to the property we did a walk through to find a major leak in the utility room located in one of the bedrooms. After calling the property manager the maintenance crew came and they began going back and forth with who did some the correct way. I finally was reached by the office manager and she assisted me in getting another place for the weekend.
We had a great time at this Cabin was it was very spacious with a lot of room to accommodate our group.
From young to old, our family had a wonderful time!!
The home was beautiful, however the landscaping was not done, the property was so over grown the kids couldn't go play in case there was a snake yu wouldn't have been able to see. The front yard was over grown with poison oak. The landscapers did not come as we were told the next morning it was hours later. The 2nd floor of the home which sleeps 7 was unusable, the air was broken and it was 85 degrees up there. No one could enjoy the play room, use the bathroom, bedroom and the loft. The air conditioning tech came out on Friday evening and tried to charge the unit and said it was an electrical issue.. whenhe didnso he blew out the lights in one of the bedrooms and a hall. The electrian finished and then said it still was blowing ht air, 95 degreed is unbearable. The electrician comes.out the next r morning after 4 hours he fixed the electical issues he said it was still the air broken, he made a note that the upstairs was to hot for anymore to sleep up there. The air conditioning tech came back to work on it. For the prices of the rental thre experience was absolutely horrible
We were very happy with the property and cabin itself. Pretty on par with what would be expected. Nice that it's not on too of any other cabins and had great space for the kids to run around. Our only negative I think is that there no fires at all from april-september. Both the indoor and outdoor fire place strictly forbade use of gas or wood and then there signs saying no other fires on the property. So Saturday night when it rain and was 50 degrees we all sat in a beautiful gazebo on a porch around and unlit fireplace. Still a beautiful and very fun property but just because of what it is and everything not being able to have any kind of fire whatsoever kind stunk a little. If we had know in advance we honestly probably would've brought out own gas fireplace in the truck when we packed. Lots of stuff was in the kitchen which was nice. Not just one broiler pan like alot of cabins will do and there were amoly towels, blanktlets and bedding. Overall we would definitely book it again and the company was very nice and quick to respond during the whole process.
I've stayed at quite a few cabins before, but this one tops them! This is one of the first places I've stayed that looked better in person than the pictures. From the beautiful property to the thoughtfully stocked kitchen, this cabin did not leave us wanting. The gazebo fireplace was the icing on the cake!
