Dew South really does have something for everyone. The two-bedroom log cabin, which can sleep up to eight people—and your four-legged best friend too!—includes an outdoor hot tub, an indoor jetted tub, a foosball table, an Xbox, a multi-game arcade, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a huge porch. One thing’s for sure: When you stay here, you’ll never be bored!

Inside and out, Dew South looks exactly as you’d want a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains to look. Settle into the rockers on the wraparound covered porch, look out over the treetops and you’ll immediately feel relaxed and reinvigorated. Take advantage of the view and the fresh mountain air by dining on the porch too, at the round wood table. And to truly immerse yourself in nature’s beauty, revel in the singing of the birds and the warmth of the sun while soaking in the porch’s hot tub—it doesn’t get better than this!

Inside, the wood-planked floor, walls, and vaulted ceiling gain extra luster from the sunshine streaming in through the large windows and, in winter, from the warm glow of the gas fireplace. The living area’s seating is plush and well cushioned: Stretch out with a book, or gather with friends and family to watch a movie on the flat-panel TV.

Another inviting gathering spot is the farmhouse dining table, which seats six. It’s located right beside the kitchen, so you can keep the cook company—or if you’re the one cooking, you can keep an eye on the kids in the living area, thanks to the open floor plan. Fully outfitted with appliances, gadgets, pots, pans, and tableware, the kitchen can accommodate just about all your culinary efforts, no matter how elaborate. There’s a dishwasher too, because nobody wants to scrub plates while on vacation.

Dew South makes a dreamy honeymoon cabin, not only because of the privacy and beauty of its environs but also thanks to its spacious bedroom. There’s a king-size bed, of course, along with a private bathroom and a large flat-panel TV. Best of all is the jetted tub. A long, steamy soak is sure to put you in the mood for romance…or at the very least, soothe your tired muscles after a day of hiking, fishing, skiing, or biking.

If you’re vacationing with kids, chances are they’ll spend most of their time upstairs, in the loft bedroom. Of course, you might be there right alongside them! When you’re not playing foosball, you can challenge the others to one of the 60-plus games on the arcade or play on the Xbox; along with 14 games, it has access to Xbox Live. Or, you can stretch out on the game room’s sofa and watch your favorite cable programs on the flat-panel TV, or get nice and comfy on one of the beanbag chairs with your tablet or a book.

The loft bedroom can sleep up to four guests with a set of twin-over-full bunk beds and a sofa that opens into a queen-size bed—you know the kids will be over the moon at the prospect of sleeping up here! There’s a full bathroom upstairs as well. And if you have additional overnight guests, the living room sofa downstairs also converts to a bed for two.

If you like to fish, you’re in luck: When you stay at Dew South, you have access to the community fishing pond. If you’d rather shop or gallery-hop, you’re in luck too, because the cabin is just minutes from the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an eight-mile trail of studios, galleries, and crafts shops. And no matter what your interests, you’ll love being less than 15 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, with its restaurants and attractions ranging from an aquarium to mini golf.

See what we mean when we say you’ll never be bored at Dew South There’s so much to see in the immediate vicinity and so much to do right in the cabin! So book your stay today, and get ready for your best vacation yet.

We had a great stay! The only recommendation I would have is to update the sofa bed upstairs, it was very uncomfortable.

The cabin was nice with a nice view. Unfortunately the dryer wouldn't work because the lint holder was broken and wouldn't stay inside the lint trap. The upstairs toilet leaked down through the ceiling into the downstairs bed. The fireplace did not work also.

The cabin itself is in alright shape, but its time for some of the furniture to be replaced. The mattress in the main bedroom is old and lumpy. It caused me to have back pain through out the trip. The couch in the living room is also very worn out. If that doesn’t bother you the cabin will work.

Fabulous! House was perfect. We weren’t in it much and we really aren’t picky. It was clean, it had incredible views and we all had a nice bed to sleep in. Worth it to us.

The arrival was easy with a door code. I immediately checked the hot tub temperature so we could use it later that night but it was off and would not turn on. I called the support line and they said to open the breaker box near the tub. Wow! That was a mistake, it had bare wires with probably 20 amp exposed and the cover almost didn’t go back on. It had wires so nothing to do here but very dangerous. Eventually we trouble shooted and found the main breaker on the outside of the cabin with most of the descriptions faded. I was able to find the hot tub breaker thanks to support and get the tub on. The microwave can only be opened 1/4 of the way thanks to it hitting the refrigerator. The upstairs ceiling fan light was not turning on, someone had pushed the chain up inside the glass cover. You’re paying a lot for staying and they give you supplies for one day, leans more towards rustic cabin instead of luxury/higher end. The driveway was a little narrow and could give some people a real problem depending on vehicle or nerves. The master bed was needing replacement. The other guests did like the upstairs bunk. It had everything we needed to cook, The internet was fast and tv’s were modern smart tv’s. Master was large and spacious and even had plenty of hangers. The master bathroom had tile on a creaking floor and I was honestly scared some tiles would break while walking on them. Water straight out of the tap was clean and tasted good. View was amazing.

Absolutely Beautiful and secluded in the mountains. Had a very large bear that scared the heck out of us as we were walking to our car. The bear just walked away like we were not even there. We ran! lol.

Cabin could have been cleaner, door blinds made bad first impression. Carpets need attention. Rusted grill needs to be hauled away, nice location though, craft loop right down the road! This cabin is not for tall people, some lights and bedroom fan hang low. Overall ok but for the cost we’ll be staying elsewhere next time.

This tiny cabin has everything you need to enjoy a stay in the mountains. We especially enjoyed the kids loft and the beautiful view from the porch. The beds and couch are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked well. There is a fantastic dog park 1.5 miles away if you need a place to play with your pets.

Great location and view. Few items need some work. There was no in door trash can except small bathroom one, master bath shower doors wouldn’t stay on track and finally became so stuck could not move them, upstairs shower head needs cleaning or replacing as only a couple of the holes were not clogged creating a “power washer” effect. Correct those and I would rate higher

My only real complaint is the microwave will not open all the way because of the fridge. This is a minor inconvenience. The mountain view you see in the photos is real! That’s what you see from the living room every day. It’s secluded enough, but close enough to everything (20-30 minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Gorge). A private deck on the back that can’t be accessed except from inside is a perfect place to enjoy a drink in the morning or evening.

I did have one issue and had to get in touch with the office, it was rectified in a timely manner. As someone else mentioned the microwave door hits the fridge so it doesn’t open all the way, not a big deal for me. The view was nice and I enjoyed the rocking chairs on the back deck. The road up there is a little narrow and winding. I have a large SUV and met vehicles going up or down several times, its doable if you drive slow and pull over as far as you can. This location is about 10 minutes or so from the town of Gatlinburg. The cabin had everything we needed, keep in mind you only get one of everything so for instance, if you need to use the dishwasher more than once, you will have to purchase dishwasher tabs, etc. I would also like to note, if you happen to bring dogs, there is virtually no yard as this location is on the side of the mountain so the terrain is quite steep. There is plenty of games available for the entire family which was a plus. We would definitely stay here again. The morning views are amazing!
