She uses a cane. The arcade did not work and rocking chair was broke and second level deck there was nails sticking up just little thing to fix. We will come back to elks springs again.

There was hair and hair shavings left in the tub, ring of filth left in the upstairs toilet, iron stain on the down stairs toilet, mold under the sink and toilet. There was a dead roach in the kitchen drawer. Dead roaches all over the floor and steps. I called and was told someone came out and cleaned while I was out but nothing was done. There was so much dust.

Cabin was a great place to cool off durning the hot week we had in Gatlinburg. We enjoyed activities in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville.

It is 3 stories so be ready to climb some stairs, but perfect getaway. Hot tub was amazing and on 3rd story w great view!

This cabin is nice and will meet your needs during the stay. The property was clean and maintained. We could not get the video game to work as the directions indicated. Very centrally located to all the activities that we did.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of elk springs resort was what led to a positive stay. It was centrally located to all the primary areas we wanted to visit, hike and raft. The walkway lights were out and bulbs were not readily available for replacement leaving the primary entrance and walk way not well lit and where the bears visited due to the garbage placement. The furniture was well lived in with an odor in the main living room so we chose to use the dining furniture. Several of the cabinets were dirty or sticky. We had to purchase our own kitchen soap for our stay, along with extra TP and paper towel. The arcade system did not work during our visit. The grill was functioning but not well taken care of and would benefit from a deep clean or replacement. After 2 nights one of the frames of the bed broke, resulting in us having to move the mattress to the floor. The building management were responsive and assigned maintenance to us fairly quickly to fix. The overall stay was somewhat disappointing for what we spent due to some of the amenities or lack of.

Reviewer Comments: We loved the stay at Elk Springs Resort and the cabin we stayed in Majestic Views was just like is states we had other family staying there and we had the most beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains out of all the cabins! That being said I will have to say after seeing the other cabins I can tell you that this one was very dirty. The floors had never been cleaned the windows had never been cleaned. The door on the top porch was wide open when we arrived and by time we left the day before the lock stop working on the door so we couldn’t lock it if we left the house. I really don’t think I can blame this on the resort since I believe the rentals are owned individually but if this is so I would think twice about renting this one until the individual that owns it is willing to put a little more effort into the rental. But we love Elk Springs Resort just not the cabin.

Reviewer Comments: A good space, but not good for anyone with difficulty with steps. Three floors, with no bathroom on main (2nd)floor. Suggested improvements: 1) put a keylock on bottom floor as well so you don't have to trudge up a dark incline at night to get into the house (and add path lights). 2) multiple deck boards with loose or exposed nails are a real danger. 3) add mini pool cue as the side walls prevent a real game of pool, 4) hot tub did not smell clean and sanitized, 5) dishwasher was broken all week, although a tech was dispatched for repair, but parts needed to be ordered.
