Very nice place to stay, plenty of room, we were on motorcycles and just got done riding in the heat all day so stepping in to the house with the air conditioning already on and the house nice and cool was really nice, very much appreciated!

First the positives…. Beautiful area, the house is well stocked in the kitchen, plenty of firewood cut to make a fire each night, lots of towels for the hot tub. The game room was nice. It has a small futon in it. There is no way 2 adults can sleep on it comfortably. Maybe 2 kids but I wouldn’t let my kids stay out there alone at night. Negatives…. the yard is very unkept. Grass was up to our knees. We picked this home because of the size and the creek in the back. The creek is a 15 to 20 foot steep incline with tons of big rocks. The photos make it look like you can sit by the creek. You can’t! The house smelled like wet dog as soon as you walked in. The house is old. The towels that were supplied for the bathrooms look like they were bought at a garage sale 10 years ago. We had to wash them once when we were there because there were not enough washcloths for us. We only stayed 2 nights. I think the biggest thing people need to know is about the bathrooms. They are tiny! Especially the showers. If you are a bigger person expect you’re going to be sticking to the shower. The house has a no shoe policy. After a short time walking around the house our feet were black. The floors are very dark so you can’t see the dirt but there’s lots of it. We had a great time in Packwood and the national park. Such a beautiful area. Would I stay at the house again….Probably not.

A Peaceful and Cozy Getaway for the Whole FamilyWe were looking for a cozy cabin in the Pacific Northwest to celebrate our son’s high school graduation, and The Yellow Cabin turned out to be the perfect spot. Tucked away in a quiet, wooded area near Mt. Rainier, it offered a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and close to some incredible hiking trails. The sound of the creek running through the property could be heard from anywhere outside, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. Our son especially loved the air-conditioned game room with a pool table — a great way to unwind after a day outdoors. Our teenage daughter enjoyed the bunk beds, evenings around the fire pit, and the adventurous (and a bit risky) climb down to the river. For my husband and me, the highlight was definitely the spacious jetted hot tub, which felt amazing after long hikes. While the photos on the listing appear to be from an earlier time — and the vegetation has since grown in, limiting views of the river unless you walk to the edge of the property — the inside of the cabin was exceptionally clean and well maintained. All in all, The Yellow Cabin provided a relaxing and memorable stay for the whole family. We would happily return

The house was not as big as it appeared online. Unfortunately the hot tub worked for about 10 minutes. The kitchen was missing some basic utensils for cooking. Location was good and it has a nice yard that would be fun in the summer.

A comfortable property with many amenities. We stayed for a ski trip at White Pass, so it was too cold to enjoy the big back yard and fire pit right on the beautiful creek, but will be keeping this property in mind if we're in the area in summer. Beds were comfortable, kitchen appliances good. A large spoon that isn't slotted would be a nice addition for serving food, also maybe a few more forks! Loved the big hot tub. All in all, our group was very happy!

We enjoyed our stay over thanksgiving break immensely. The sound of the creek was so peaceful to enjoy your coffee with and there is a fire pit. We enjoyed many games of pool out in the game room and evenings soaking in the hot tub. The house was a great size for the 5 of us, the only thing that would have been nicer was more silverware and mixing bowls. We had a few minor issues that the property manager quickly replied and offered assistance with. Overall it was a nice break from the city. We got to see elk on our daily walks and peaks boo views of the mountains. We would love to come back again.

the house was smaller then the pictures would have you believe, house sleeps 10 but only has enough forks for 7. no serving spoons. no remote for tv in game room, when asked the manger said they will deliver one in the morning, never received it, the front eve was falling off the house. the hot tub was green? even though we received a texted that we needed to check in later as they were delayed due to cleaning the hot tub. Other then that we made it work.

Nice cabin in the woods. Good for our little kids, nice yard for them to run around in and they loved throwing rocks into the creek out back. Short drive to town for essentials.

We chose this place given it's proximity to Mt Rainier and the Paradise entrance. The house was perfectly located and the town of Packwood has great places to grab groceries and a meal out. The house is clean and well suited for our family. The kids loved the entertainment room! Perfect base to get to Mt Rainier, easy 20min drive and we went early (6am) to beat the reservations and crowds. We would absolutely stay here again and have no problems recommending the hosts or the house. Thanks again!
