Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania
This private cedar chalet is located in a wooded setting with lots of deer and turkey in its path as well as the occasional bear spotting. A great place to relax and unwind from the stresses of life. This is a great house to getaway to enjoy nature and quiet times. This house is located in the gated community of Big Bass Lake which has an Olympic size pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, basket courts, three lakes with beaches and fishing. Daily HOA fee applies to use their facilities. High Speed Internet included.
The house was nice and in a good location, but there are leaks in the windows, which leads to mold in the house. There is pealing paint in several locations. There is rotted wood in several locations. There is a broken pipe in the well system, which leads to bacteria in the drinking water, which explains why we had stomach issues when we arrived. If work is not completed on the house, it will be un-livable is a few years.
We all had a wonderful time there peaceful and quiet very nice for relaxing. And if you wanted to go out it was things to do close by very convenient.
Beautiful place to spend your vacation. Clean and comfortable with all needs
We really liked the cabin. Space was more than enough for us. We had 4 adults and a toddler. There arent much eating options around but within 15 mins drive you can find plenty. For checking in you have to go to the admin building and get a car tag and you have to buy daily beach passes if you want to use the lake/pool or other facilities. It was like 6 dollars a day per person. I highly recommend to buy it because the private lake is wayyyyy more cleaner and nicer than the public lake access which is also a couple of mins away. The cabin pretty much has everything, so it's well equipped with a coffee machine, stove and a grill etc. Karen is so nice and very responsive. It's a great place to enjoy the nature . The private lake access is about 4-5 mins drive from the cabin. overall we had a pleasant stay.
It is location that won’t disappoint. The home was great to stay in. Nestled off the road, you have your privacy. You will see deer, turkeys in tree amongst other animals. The place was clean and relaxing. The home is a part of an association which gives you quick access to a couple beaches, lakes, boats, pool and clubhouse. My wife, 4 year old loves it there. It was well worth the money spent.
all very good
Cabin and interior were above expectations. The outside however needs attention. Weeds are growing above the porch. Cable did not work in the one queen bedroom. The cabin could have been opened up before we got there. Very musty. On the better side the bedding was very comfortable. Very spacious. Also a lot of wild life was visiting us. Turkeys, deer, and a fox. I would go back again.
The property is located in a community of similar vacation homes and is set back from the road in the woods. The front is all windows with a screened in porch on the side. The inside was clean but the outside and porch were in need of general repair. My 8 yr. old grandson loved the upstairs sleeping loft which could probably sleep at least 4 in a pinch. The 2 downstairs bedrooms were comfortable but sparsely furnished. The kitchen worked well for us but we used the gas grill for cooking. The bathroom looked to be recently renovated. There was plenty of room for the three of us and we visited the lake which had a nice sandy beach. We had a nice 3 day vacation.
The property was nice, clean and had everything we needed for a couples weekend getaway! I would recommend for families as well ?
The property was clean, well maintained, cozy, comfortable!! Got that real cabin feeling! Definitely would stay again.
