We enjoyed our time in Cloudcroft. The house is located in a good area and is within walking distance to Burro Street and the brewery, but the hills can be tough. The house worked for our needs, and it was fun to watch the mule deer from the back patio.

Great place to stay. Beautiful, serene, and full of adventures. Hope to return for the snow sometime. Thanks for helping us out with a last minute place to stay after another VRBO cancellation.

Enjoyed this property. Day one we were greeted with elk in the neighborhood. Black tail everyday. Very clean property and was in a great location. Great long weekend retreat to get away from the summer heat.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brief weekend in Cloudcroft & our stay at Eagle’s Nest was perfect for our family get together! A day trip to White Sands National Park was the highlight of our trip. Saying goodnight to elk on the golf course after dining at The Lodge Bar & Restaurant and good morning to a family of deer right outside our Eagle’s Nest lodging were delightful and unexpected treats for us. We took a “fruits of the forest”homemade pie home with us and bought practical and attractive outerwear at the outdoor store. The views & walks by the historical trestle bridge are well worth seeing! Hope to return again!

We were looking forward to some mountains and hoping for some snow. But we enjoyed hiking, shopping and down time. Great place well equipped kitchen. If you have pets they had treats and bowls. Heated pads for people beds and very clean games TVs. The pellet stove was amazing at putting off good heat. Would highly recommend. Saw deer every day

Cant say enough how much we enjoyed this place. Pet friendly, well equipped, private yet all the amenities you'd want. Comfort, clean, well maintained. Far surpasses a hotel.

This cabin is fantastic! It's well stocked with essentials and much more. The king bed is on the firmer side, which is perfect for me. The 'dog park' is adorable and the house is well curated for groups with pets. A snow shovel and dog-safe ice salt was provided, as well as some snacks, which is very thoughtful. This cabin has everything we needed and it's in a great location. We could easily walk into town. Deer hang around the neighborhood and we spotted wild horses not far from town!FYI on accessibility - the winter parking (lower access) is a steep gravel path up to the home. Our elderly family members weren't able to visit us because the access wasn't possible for them. The top access is much better with the pull-through driveway ramp/step combo, but is only available in summer/dry conditions. Both the pull-through (summer) and lower access path (winter) are gravel and uneven. Grading the access paths would improve accessibility

This was a great property with deer, close to town and amenities, and super clean. I have no complaints but maybe a suggestion or two? The thermostat is locked which is fine but it automatically turns down to 60 degrees at 10:30PM which, if you're all asleep by then, you wake up very cold. Also, there arent any usable outlets in the living area to charge phones or plug anything in that you might need. Other than that, wonderful place!

It was good. Hot water is universally the left but not in the master bath. It should be labeled. There were no trash bags—we had to buy some.

Stay was okay. On a scale of 1-10 the cleanliness was an 8. Place really needs a makeover (new carpet and paint) inside. Outside was great. Really enjoyed both decks. Fire pit was especially nice.

I would like to give this rental a 5 star rating. I had issues with the coffee pot & dishwasher— had to wash dishes by hand. There were no trash liners, dishwasher soap & few toiletry items in the the bathrooms. On a positive note the rental was on one level, handicap & pet friendly!

The outdoor seating areas were awesome! Just what we were looking for to get out of the desert heat. Home was clean, cozy, and had nice touches for amenities. Double loved the heated mattresses. Nice and close to town, too!

My husband and I stayed here for a break from our Texas summer heat. Beautiful area and the house is in a great location for visiting downtown, hiking or scenic drives. Loved sitting on the deck or on the front porch watching the deer and elk every evening. Also loved the peace and quite at night while stargazing. Highly recommend!

We arrived and were pleased with the layout of the cabin and it's location. The interior was meticulous and clean and very appealing for our family. We felt very comfortable and our host had easy instructions to follow about the cabin's upkeep and maps and brochures helping us to plan our time around the beautiful town. We definitely enjoyed our time in Cloudcroft and enjoyed all the scenery around the cabin. We definitely would go back!
