This stay was GREAT!! We had the best time, the cabin was perfect! Definitely would need a 4X4 if it had been snowy or wet, but it was dry when we were there. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a few extras the host threw in that made it extra welcoming. The host was super friendly and very communicative. I definitely recommend a stay here at Peace and Quiet!

What a wonderful week! Everything was perfect. Part of my family rented another larger place in town and my two adult nieces and I stayed at peace and quiet. Everyone who saw peace and quiet immediately fell in love with the setting and the perfect little cabin. Kelly is a wonderful host.

What a wonderful stay for my family. We spent 3 night in this beautiful cabin tucked away in the mountains of Cloudcroft. When we arrived we couldn’t help but notice how clean it was. This was especially refreshing since it is a dog friendly property. The owner was perfectly communicative and not at all intrusive or pushy. We loved the accessibility to a nearby hiking trail as well as a quick drive to the town of Cloudcroft. I highly recommend staying for a little peace & quiet at this amazing spot!

Wonderful cabin and host!

Absolutely worth the money. Cabin is pretty private and everything is very clean. Its small but that adds to the charm and coziness. Kelly is a terrific host; very very respectful and very easy to contact if something happens. I would happily book this location from her or any other location she has!

Peace & Quiet is everything it's described to be! My pup and I spent a full work week in the cabin for some respite before heading into the new year; and it was just perfect!!! My 4-legged companion really struggles with firework holidays, and this was the perfect spot for her to be able to get a restful NYE without the typical stress. Our favorite part was having a trailhead just steps out the front door. We had snow the entire first day of our stay and afterwards were able to identify bobcat, bunny, and wild turkey tracks along the trail in the snow drifts!!!!

This cabin is so charming! Every detail is perfectly planned and the hospitality was exquisite. It’s so cozy and comfortable. We loved the rustic feel and modern amenities. The beds are comfy, and the electric heater/fireplace casts a perfect winter forest vibe. We loved our stay and would definitely return. The host left us delicious pastries from KenneBelle’s bakery (definitely get the pistachio bread!) and we felt so at home. We miss it already!

The cabin was beautifully decorated and clean. My husband and I loved the trail near by and took our dogs on a nice walk there. Definitely need an all wheel drive to access the cabin.

Kelly is amazing! You can feel the love that she has put into this property. This cabin is a slice of heaven. It is so warm and so cozy, peaceful and quiet! The trail head access is perfect for an afternoon hike. The garage with the fire pit and outdoor kitchen made for prefect evenings! Bring a hammock!

We were looking for peace & quiet and that's exactly what we found. We also enjoyed the nearby trail and the opportunity to commune with nature. The description of Peace & Quiet is very accurate and we had everything we needed for an extended stay.

Our stay in Cloudcroft was absolutely magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by crisp mountain air, breathtaking views, and a cabin that felt like it was straight out of a storybook. Nestled in the trees, the home offered the perfect mix of comfort and charm — cozy enough for relaxing evenings, yet spacious enough to spread out and feel at home.The attention to detail was clear everywhere we looked. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. Morning coffee while watching the sun peek over the trees was pure serenity, and evenings under the stars were unforgettable.The location was perfect — tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful, yet close to trails, shops, and restaurants in town. It truly gave us the best of both worlds.This was more than just a getaway; it was an experience. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already planning our return. If you’re looking for a mountain escape that delivers on comfort, charm, and views, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend! On top of that Kelly was always available and very quick to answer/ help with any issues that came up!! Truly worth a visit!!

A very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Seeing pines outside your window and enjoying the sounds of nature was a pleasant experience. There’s an entrance to some hiking trails just a couple yards from the cabin that you can fully enjoy. Communication with the property manager is excellent.

Peace & Quiet is the perfect name for this cabin/location. I could sit anytime of the day outside and hear the hummingbirds wings. The view was breathtaking. The cabin was just right for the 3 of us. Kelly does a great job of thinking of anything you may need to be entertained or cook a meal. We plan to return often. Eventually to own a place of our own and possibly move to CC. WE FELL IN LOVE! Thank you Kelly for the amazing communication and weather updates. Thanks also for checking on us where you were close by.

We love this property. Second time back.Location is great, easy to town, secluded, no TV, it’s a perfect getaway! Kelly is a great host, easy to work with and understanding. Thankful we found this gem!

We went for our anniversary & to have a much needed time away from everything and everybody/work. I loved how secluded it felt all while still being not too far from town. The cabin although may look small felt so spacious!! I was surprised at how much fit into it! It had all the basic accommodations as a regular home just packed in smaller. Which made it feel soo cozy and homey! It's also so neat and cool to feel like you're actually in a tree house lol. I would definetly stay here over and over & go through Ms Kelly. She's such a delight to interact with and made sure we got in safe/ had a good stay. She put a few little touches of her own as well to make the stay feel more welcomed and I appreciate that so much! Not all stays are this enjoyable or easy going. It was such a hassle free experience. sincerly one of the best mini vacays I've ever had!

This was our second visit to this property and it lives up the the name of Peace and Quiet. It's a great cabin in a very quiet location with lots of access to nature.

This was our second time staying in the peace & quiet cabin. We always have the best time staying here and enjoy the coziness of the cabin. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoy sitting outside in the evening listening to the birds and trees blowing in the wind. Kelly is the best host and always responds to my messages right away. She even left a cupcake for my toddler since it was her birthday the day we arrived. She also left a loaf of fresh green chile bread as well as many snacks/water. We will definitely return to the Peace & Quiet cabin in the future.

This is the cutest and cleanest cabin! Its the perfect location if you want to experience some peace and quiet. I will be back as soon as I can.

Loved staying at this quaint cabin in the midst of spectacular pine trees and right off a fabulous trail head into the national park. The nights were quiet and peaceful and the accommodations were exactly what we were hoping for on our getaway vacation. Would love to come back!

This tiny cabin is the perfect size for two adults. It was clean and cozy. We especially loved the location directly on a secluded hiking trail in the National forest. We appreciated a very responsive host for quick communication!* Please just be sure to realize there is only a ladder to the sleeping space - can’t be helped as that is the layout of this cabin however it does make middle-of-the-night bathroom trips a bit precarious.

The cabin is small and cozy. Made for a perfect weekend getaway. Literally at a great trail for hiking or running. Location to town is great as well. Cannot tell you enough how much we loved this! Host was great, and very accommodating.

The cabin was perfect for our quick trip to Cloudcroft.Compact and cozy.The beds are in the loft so just have to be careful with the ladder/steps.Great hiking location and reasonable price.It's a keeper for sure and the host was excellent!

My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier with our stay in this charming, rustic mountain cabin nestled on a hillside in the gorgeous pine forests of the Sacramento Mountains. The layout and amenities of the cabin were so cozy, and the location was a major plus, providing a plethora of activity options being 10 minutes from Cloudcroft, 45 minutes from Alamogordo/White Sands, an hour from Ruidoso, and a 60 second walk from a fantastic hiking trail- Chippeway Spur. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kelly’s cabin in the woods! Our boys (8 & 6) enjoyed hikes both on the trails behind the cabin and in Cloudcroft. Kelly had so many cute personal touches in the cabin and also provided some welcome gifts and necessities that were very much appreciated after our long journey to the area. I would definitely recommend the cabin to any family wanting to get away and reconnect in nature!

The property was beautiful!! Nice and secluded in the middle of the national forest with a trail nearby. We only stayed for 2 nights but will be back to attend again! Thank you Kelly!

It's such a cozy little cabin

We spent Thanksgiving weekend here with our toddler and dog. A true mountain cabin in the woods retreat! We enjoyed the nearby hiking trail and saw several elk. We also visited White Sands and the space museum in Alamogordo. All perfect for our small family. Thank you! The road to the cabin definitely requires a 4x4 vehicle and was very muddy from recent snow. We were prepared with our truck.

Second time staying here great cabin!

We booked a last-minute weekend trip to this peaceful cabin and did not regret it one bit! Kelly's cabin was perfect for a cozy and secluded weekend in the mountains. Kitchen was stocked with EVERYTHING you could possibly think of- I was able to make a warm stew in her crockpot for dinner. 10/10 stay, we will be back again!

Wonderful quiet property. Kitchen was well stocked. The house was very clean and decorated nicely. Check in was easy. We would totally stay here again.

Property was clean and well put together, good location with neighbors spaced out on the hill. Communication with host was easy and quick, cabin was enough space for three adults. Access to the shed, table and grill to hang out was a plus. Would recommend!

We needed a break from the extreme heat of summer, and stress of all the political stuff going on. This was the perfect choice! The cabin was just right for the two of us, had everything we needed to enjoy several days in the cool pines and relax! Saw lots of birds and a deer. The trail nearby is a little rough for old folks, but we enjoyed several walks through the forest. Cloudcroft is a welcoming village and has a lot to offer. This little tree house in the woods is a perfect choice to enjoy all the high mountains have to offer. We'll definitely be back! Thanks so much!

Lovely place to stay in the mountains and be cool! Great host clean property. Only drawback - the stairs to the loft which was adorable but just kinda hard if you’re 70+! We were aware of it and managed fine just not ideal Despite that would return again because a nice spot

We enjoyed our stay here so very much. The cabin is so cute and cozy. The host has gone to unusual lengths to make it cute and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped to cook any simple meal. We brought two ATVs There was ample room to park our truck & trailer. There is a wonderful ATV trail right beside the cabin. We had so much fun riding & hiking in the beautiful forrest. We also had a campfire. It is an easy drive to Cloudcroft to shop or eat. Also White Sands is an easy & interesting drive. The bedrooms are upstairs and you have to climb a ladder. My husband and I are both in our 70s. So climbing down the ladder in the middle of the night to potty was not our favorite part. But the two 15 year old granddaughters loved the loft. If you want a beautiful secluded spot with lots of piece and quiet it is perfect.

This cabin was a perfect escape from the heat! It’s small but had everything we needed for a comfortable 4 night stay. We liked that it was a little ways away from downtown Cloudcroft (about 10 minute scenic drive away). It felt secluded but was still close to trails and shopping.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Peace & Quiet cabin! It was exactly what we wanted. Our host was great! The cabin itself was everything we needed, and the surrounding property is gorgeous. The trails within steps of the cabin are beautiful. We took a drive over to Russian Canyon to hike in that area as well. Equally beautiful. Five star stay!

Everything about this stay was perfect. The place was exactly as pictured and described, communication with host was prompt and courteous, the location was as peaceful and quiet as I had hoped.
