This cabin exceeded my expectations. The place was so secluded, and peaceful with an AMAZING view! Highly recommend
It is quiet, secluded, and just what i was looking for. It is a bit rustic, no central air. The bedrooms do have window units. The weather was mild so did not feel this was a negative. Groceries are a bit of a drive, so, stop on your way (there is no keurig). There is a roadside farm stand a few miles away and the ice cream stand within walking distance is wonderful. I did find the larger bed a bit uncomfortable. It was just me so had my pick of beds and found one of the twins adequate. The porch swing and view was perfect! I will definitely stay here again when i need Me time. With as much property, i wish they would allow tents. I would love to come back with my children and their children and really use the space and firepit. ?
This is a wonderful place in that it is full of wonders: the mountains, laurel, fireflies, rising morning mist, birdsong, the beauty of evening and so much more. A porch swing and hilltop bench to let you take it all in. This cozy cabin provides simple comfort. Thank you for sharing this place with others.
We stayed at Valley View Cabin for the first time this late spring and absolutely loved it. Ease of road access to properties near the mountains is very important to us (we come from flat roads and the steep, winding roads intimidate us), and out of 5-6 mountain properties we have stayed at this one had the easiest road access by far: everything was paved and not extremely steep, with the exception of the driveway leading to the cabin which was a gravel road but it was not curvy at all therefore not scary to us! As for the cabin, you can tell that it is a few decades old based on some of its features, but by no means does it mean it is not kept up well. It was clean, neat and tidy, and although smaller than other cabins we have stayed at, it had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay (and it was kind of charming/cute to stay at a smaller cabin for a change!). We absolutely loved the fact that it is on so much land, and of course the best part of all: the view of the mountains from the screened porch, the deck, and the side/back yard - absolutely breathtaking! Last but not least, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The cabin was just a couple of miles up the road from DuPont State Forest which made it so convenient for us to visit the forest both days during our stay. Dupont is ideal for hikers - it has soooo many trails (we strongly recommend that you grab a map of the park before you go off on your way unless you only intend to hit the popular spots, which are the waterfalls closest to the access parking lots). We are already thinking about coming back because we were left wanting to explore more of DuPont but couldn't due to lack of time; and when we come back we will absolutely stay at Valley View Cabin again! We had to contact the host before checking out to double check a few things about the process, and she called us right back within minutes (was not only helpful, but very nice and interested to know if we enjoyed their cabin). We highly recommend this cabin for an adventurous couple or group of 4.
This cabin is in a perfect location for exploring the area. The property is fantastic and and very secluded and private. Super quiet and peaceful!!!
Love the cabin. Secluded with gorgeous scenery. Beautiful views of the mountains! Enjoyed the screened in porch, swing and firepit.
VERY NICE
Cabin was perfect spot to hit plenty of waterfall trails! View was awesome! Cabin was cozy and peaceful. Swing on porch was fabulous ??❤️?
The cabin was exactly as described. The owners provided directions that were easy to follow to get to cabin since it's secluded and gps not accurate (saved parking location for use thereafter). Made a great spring break trip for my 13 yr old to do hiking for all the great nearby waterfalls. Great location for this. And was great for her to unplug during our stay. Everything in cabin was nicely labeled. No problems during our stay. Would stay here again if we came back to the area!
We enjoyed it very much
Beautiful location, close to DuPont trails, house is small and old but comfy. Needs an AC unit for the summers.
The cabin was beautiful and clean. It was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the mountains overlooking a valley. We really enjoyed the screened porch. We had a great time. Best cabin we've stayed in so far!
