Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve been coming to Idylwild every year and this has to be to worst rental experience. I booked through VRBO like I always book my other stays.I booked it and I didn’t receive a confirmation until the day of.There was a huge Lack of communication and customer service.You get responses from multiple people so nobody is on the same page. The operations manager Sylvia was so unprofessional and even raised her voice on the phone with me during check in. They tell you can’t pick up keys because of cleaning and when I arrived to the cabin there were two spiders in the bathroom, one dead and one alive. The coffee press had old coffee in it, so much for cleaning! DIRTY! If they don’t clean that imagine the bedrooms! Hairs on the bed sheets! And bugs under the bed!I think the biggest issue is they say they have groundkeeper but they don’t disclose that the home of the groundkeeper (Daniel) is connected to the home. So it’s attached and can access the cabin. On top of all things the house is freezing! VERY ODD decor, a bit demonic if I must say.Pictures of little girls with demons on their laps is bad taste. It’s unfortunate that they allow these rental companies to scam people!

Reviewer Comments: I’ve been renting g from new spirit vacation rentals since 2021 and I love all their homes very clean accommodating the rentals this rental is very close to town we walked to town it’s just down the street about a 10 min walk very quiet and the home had air conditioning a plus it was very hot 4 th of July weekend very large home it says 4 bedroom but can easily be a 5 bedroom plenty of room and beds me and my family enjoyed our stay I’m never disappointed with new spirit rentals highly recommend

We liked the location, which was very close to town. Being a family of six, we needed four bedrooms and the house is quite large, but be aware the rooms are very small so if you're looking for an open space common area, this is not that house. The house was very clean and decorated very cute, in an old-timey way. Also be aware that while there are two bathrooms, one only has a bathtub and no shower. Since it was a very cold weekend, we had problems at first getting the heat to work for the whole house. Management was very responsive and helped with that, but with a split heating system (one unit for downstairs, one for upstairs), we had a hard time getting them both to work at the same time. There were also space heaters in some of the bedrooms but they were not very strong and took a long time to heat up. This all wouldn't have been a problem in warm weather, but that was not this weekend. The pictures in the listing are accurate as to the decor, cleanliness and neatness of the house. The private road to the house is not maintained well at all--full of potholes so low cars would have a hard time.

You can feel the love and inspiration of this home in every single room, there is so much charm and character everywhere you look. The home’s age gave it so much of its beautiful character, yet you still have all the modern essentials needed for your stay. I never thought my sons (ages 5 & 8) would enjoy a home as much as they did at the Dairy Manor. Our stay here in Idyllwild was exactly what we needed as a family, shutting out the world of 2021, connecting with each other, and with Mother Nature. I honestly couldn’t be happier then I was with The Dairy Manor!

We loved this old house with all its unique rooms and furnishings. The TV didn’t work but we didn’t mind. Was great to be able to walk to town every day! The furnace worked great and loved the popcorn maker!

Rented this cabin out for me and a couple of coworkers for a weekend and we loved it. There were 7 of us and everyone had there own bed with one more bed to spare. Kitchen and dinning room perfect for everyone to be in and the patio is a great hangout spot. Would really recommend.
