Stayed Aug 18, 2025I love this property. I have stayed here twice now. Once in the winter, and once in the summer. Both times have been phenomenal. The cabin is well equiped and we love the nearby hiking trails. Sitting on the porch with a hot beverage in the morning, looking out at the mountains and horses is such a wonderful way to start the day. The cabin is close enough to the downtown area that we easily were able to see the sites and not feel cut off, but also far enough that we felt like we were escaping city life. It truly is a great option for wanting a mix of cabin camping, but also being able to enjoy restaurants and activities in Whitehorse.

Stayed Jul 8, 2025I really enjoyed my stay at Oma and Opa's cabin. It was an easy drive from Whitehorse and easy to find. The location was quiet and peaceful. I especially enjoyed the heated bathroom floor and was grateful for the extra outlets to recharge camera batteries, phone and computer. The wifi worked great and I was able to stream a Netflix show without any issues. I felt comfortable, safe and very much at home during my entire stay. I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, well-equipped cabin in the Yukon.

Stayed Jun 5, 2025Great little cabin! Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and very quiet. It’s a bit away from the city itself but if you are heading toward Dawson, you’ve got a head-start! Do take the time to hike up to the bluffs (route shown in the guest-book). We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Feb 8, 2025We had the pleasure of staying in this charming cabin, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the serene surroundings and the cozy atmosphere. The cabin itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The rustic decor and warm touches made it feel like a home away from home.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024We loved the cozy beautiful little cabin in the woods of Yukon. We went to see the aurora and did 3 nights. Due to La Nina, clouds were more frequent than we hoped. The wifi bandwidth was solid. We found our phones unable to navigate on the weak LTE cell signal when we got away from the cabin. We enjoyed the trail to Happy Hour Rock with its view of Lake Lebarge. The nearby Yukon Wildlife Reserve was another wonderful walk. A beautiful place overall!

Stayed Sep 7, 2025This is a great cabin to stay at just outside of Whitehorse! It has lovely views and is very peaceful but is only a short drive to downtown and other attractions. The kitchen is well equipped and the books and games in the living area were a nice surprise.

Stayed Jun 24, 2025A highschool friend from Germany, who always dreamt of going to the Yukon and I toured the territory - as much as one can do in 10 days. The stay at Oma's and Opa's was one of the highlights. Allround enjoyable! We stayed three nights.

Stayed May 9, 2025Oma and Opa’s cabin was the perfect spot for our family to experience the Yukon for the first time. The location was perfect with beautiful scenery, nearby hiking, and within driving distance to Whitehorse. Even with some unpredictable weather, the cabin was cozy and the hosts were very accommodating and responsive to fit all 4 of us. We can’t recommend the cabin enough!

Stayed Mar 20, 2025This was a wonderful property, an easy drive from Whitehorse. Darcy was very responsive prior to arrival, and even brought us over a sled for our kids to play with when we arrived. The cabin itself was so cozy and had everything we needed. As noted in the listing, the fold out bed in the main room is quite small. It was even snug for our two kids, so it wouldn’t really work for two adults unless they were ready to get VERY cozy. The property gave our kids a chance to play in the snow which was so much fun. We also had a magical campfire (with s’mores!) one night. Definitely take advantage of the walk to Happy Hpur Rock if you can. The snow-covered path was packed down and easy to traverse and so peaceful. The views from the hill were stunningAl around it was a great stay!.

Stayed Feb 3, 2025The cabin was ideal for a quiet time to disconnect (by choice - the WiFi is excellent) and enjoy the big open sky. It had all the amenities needed but still felt simple and calm. We enjoyed the trails coming right from our front door. Would happily return!

Stayed Jul 22, 2024We stayed at Oma & Opa's cabin for 2 nights while preparing for an extended wilderness trip. We had a slight hiccup finding it, as the link wasn't able to pinpoint the location completely. Our hosts were very quick to respond with directions and we were soon enjoying the gorgeous views of their property. The cabin is an absolute delight! Very cozy and clean with all the amenities needed. We thoroughly enjoyed sunsets on the front porch, and views of the surrounding mountains. It was the perfect start to our adventure, and unfortunately, was already booked when we came back through Whitehorse - we would have loved to stay there again.
