Aptly named for its walls of glass looking out over the ocean, The Fish Bowl treats you to stunning views of Brookings' dramatic coastline. In this beautiful spot in the heart of the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, you can wander down to Whaleshead Beach each morning and spend your evenings marveling at gorgeous sunsets and brilliant night skies from the warmth of the private hot tub.
This single-story home enjoys an oceanfront position just across the Oregon Coast Highway and up the hill from Whaleshead Beach. It's located in what is perhaps the most picturesque stretch of the entire Oregon Coast - a place to hike the Oregon Coast Trail, take photographs, and go for long, scenic drives. Harris Beach State Park, Cape Ferrelo, the Thomas Creek Bridge, Natural Bridges, and Arch Rock State Park are all within seven miles.
Greet each morning outside on the deck, with a cup of coffee in hand and breakfast set out at the outdoor table. It's a stunning spot to return to at sunset, with dinner searing away on the gas grill.
Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the same incredible scene inside, so you can watch for whale spouts on the horizon as you cook, dine, and gather around the table for board games. In the evenings, leave the day's swimsuits and clothing to spin in the washer/dryer, stream your favorite movies on the smart TV, and plan the next day's adventures using complimentary WiFi.

When we arrived we were given the wrong code to get into property and had to call and wait on hold for help. Once we were able to get in, we immediately smelled propane and knew there was a leak.we were able to figure out it was coming from the stove and shut the valve off and called Vacasa (the property management). The took the report and had their local handyman call to say he’d be out the next morning. He showed up after noon and couldn’t fix the problem and he would have to contact his manager. I reached out to him a few hours later and he had not heard back from him. I again called Vacasa and explained that this is not something to ignore and we have no stove or oven after spending over $200 on food for meals. I never heard back from them after they said someone would reach out. We then tried to cook chicken on the bbq, and it ran out of propane half way through and it had to be thrown out. The following day, we tried using the dryer to refresh a shirt and again a strong odor of propane came from the dryer that also ran off gas for heat….the shirt was cold, no heat. After that we tried to take showers so we could head out to eat an actual meal, and there was no hot water. The propane for the whole cabin was out. We were only there for 3 nights. Once again called Vacasa, and the customer service representative who constantly just said “I understand “ after every sentence of me explaining the issues and the lack of response from them. Will never rent from them again
What a magical find! My recent stay at this cabin in Whaleshead, Oregon was lovely. From the moment I arrived, I were captivated by the breathtaking view of the ocean, and it only got better from there. The cabin itself is a cozy haven that exudes charm. It's well-maintained and impeccably clean, making for a comfortable and homey atmosphere. The open floor plan allowed us to fully appreciate the natural beauty just outside my window.
